Beautiful gazebos with their own hands from a profile pipe. Arbor from a profile pipe. An exemplary version of the scheme of a rectangular structure from profile blanks

Profile rolled metal is an affordable and reliable material that does not claim to have high aesthetic qualities. Nevertheless, with proper design, quite elegant structures can be made from a metal profile. Even such a small architectural form as an elegant gazebo. How to do this, we will try to find out together.

The practicality of gazebos from the profile

The correct calculation and the correct selection of materials, a creative approach to the sketch - and elegant gazebos made of a profile pipe with their own hands are made, installed and delight the hosts and guests with a cozy atmosphere and a gorgeous view. But for starters, it’s worth getting acquainted with the source material, because we don’t choose a metal profile in vain, but for reasons why it can be more profitable to differ from the traditional wood or brick arbors.

A profile pipe is a hollow rolled product of rectangular section different size and various wall thicknesses. Depending on its thickness, you can choose the optimal profile so as not to overpay for a pipe that is too heavy, but choose just such a section that meets the load. The main load on the metal frame comes from the roof, so a profile with a wall thickness of less than 2 mm should not be used. In addition, if the gazebo frame is assembled by welding, then the thin metal will simply burn out.

Aluminum or steel?

The profile can be not only steel, but also aluminum. It has certain advantages over steel pipe:

    aluminum is much lighter;

    does not corrode like steel;

    can have a longer service life than steel pipe

    No welding required for installation.

At the same time, the assembly of aluminum profiles can be complicated by the fact that clamps, ties and other elements are needed to fasten the caracas elements. There is also a danger that in a gust of wind, a lightweight structure can easily collapse if the braces and reinforcements are not clearly calculated, the strength of the aluminum profile is far from ideal, and the price of aluminum is an order of magnitude higher than steel.

Arbor designs, drawings, diagrams

How the gazebo will look like is decided by the owner, but at the same time, the structure will have the necessary strength only if it has at least four support posts, which are connected by jumpers and braces that form stiffness triangles. The shape of the arbor can be anything - from square or rectangular, to hexagonal or octagonal, and if it is possible to bend the profile on a pipe bender, you can build an elegant round metal arbor.

The gazebo can be not only stationary, but also collapsible, which can be used if the size of the site does not allow to install the structure permanently. In addition, the collapsible design is good because it can be removed for the winter, thereby extending the life of the metal. True, in the summer, you will have to tighten the threaded connections all the time, but this is not such a big drawback.

How to choose the size of the gazebo

The size of the gazebo is important not only because of the space it occupies on the site and location, but also because it is not very comfortable in a large empty gazebo, there is a feeling of a public gazebo in a city park, or something. At the same time, too small a design of 1.5x1.5 m can be cramped for a company of five to six people. Most often, private developers use gazebos measuring 3x3 meters. Seven to ten people will sit in such an arbor without feeling constrained, and if done carefully, it will not look bulky.

Site preparation and foundation

To lay the foundation, it is necessary to clear the selected area, plan it and mark it in accordance with the drawing or diagram. The support posts must be concreted, and their number is determined by the design of the gazebo. A hole 25x25x25 cm is dug for each of the supports, after which the formwork is installed for each support separately.

The formwork must be at least 10-15 cm high above ground level, and the supports must be in the same plane. To check this, it is enough to use a long board and a building level. The anchor points are filled with a solution, which should solidify for about 3-4 days.

After that, channels around the perimeter are installed on the supports and welded together. When the perimeter of the gazebo is marked with channels, a metal crate (from the same profile) is welded to them with a step sufficient for sheathing the floor with boards.

Frame and roof assembly

In accordance with the drawing, to the corners of the structure, no matter how many there are, four, six or eight, racks from the profile are welded, observing the vertical. You can assemble the frame directly in place, if the dimensions of the gazebo allow, or you can weld individual trusses on the ground, and then fix them by welding to vertical support posts.

A gazebo made of a profile pipe and polycarbonate can look spectacular. To do this, you do not have to arrange a special roofing system, it is enough to link the shape of the roof with a polycarbonate sheet and fix the fitted sheet on the frame. If there is a desire to make a roof from soft materials (bituminous tiles, roofing material), then lugs are welded to the frame, and OSB sheets are attached to them, on which a soft roof is laid using standard technology.

A do-it-yourself gazebo made of metal profiles and decorated with forged decorative elements can become a real decoration of the site and a cozy place for outdoor recreation. Choose the right material and let your imagination run free, good luck to everyone!

Country estates have long ceased to be used for their intended purpose, namely for growing different cultures during the summer period. Currently, an increasing number of land owners are striving to make their summer cottage a place of rest and relaxation, where after working days with their usual city bustle they can come, stay in silence and just relax. For these purposes, comfortable gazebos are often built, since their construction does not require large financial investments and special construction skills.

At the same time, one of the most common and budget materials used in the construction of this structure is a metal profile. In the article, we will tell you how to make a gazebo from a profile pipe with your own hands, show diagrams, drawings, photo and video instructions, and also deal with a number of important features of the component materials and installation features.

Profile specifics

The structure made using the profile looks quite original. You can make such a building in the shortest possible time. The main condition is the presence of experience with welding equipment.

The starting material from which the frame of the gazebo is made is pipes, in most cases occurring with a rectangular or square section, made of carbon and low alloy steel.

Raw materials are characterized by sufficient strength, multilateral resistance to harmful effects and practicality.

Profile pipes, taken as the basis of the gazebo, endow the building with a number of positive characteristics. The main ones are:

  • low specific gravity of the structure (excludes the preparation of a powerful base);
  • long period of operation;
  • acceptable cost of the material;
  • fire resistance;
  • no need for periodic repairs.

When starting to manufacture a gazebo, it is worth deciding in advance on the type of construction, drawing up drawings, preparing the necessary tools and materials. In a huge variety of forms used, a gazebo made of profile pipes can be of the following types: rectangular, square, hexagonal, etc.

In the absence of experience in the construction of gazebos, you should choose the classic options - square or rectangular, since they are easier to plan and subsequent installation.

The next step is the selection of materials used. To make a practical and inexpensive gazebo, you will need to prepare the following consumables:

  • metallic profile;
  • polycarbonate;
  • cement or concrete;
  • accessories;
  • anti-corrosion alkyd primer or paint.

Having finished with the previous points, we proceed to consider the question of how to make a sketch. The plan can be drawn up both independently and by contacting specialists for help. For greater clarity, you can use the attached drawing, adjusting it to the desired dimensions.

It is necessary to pay special attention to the manufacture of the drawing, since the amount of material used, the aesthetics and the duration of the gazebo's service life depend on the accuracy of the calculations made.

The final event is the preparation of the instrument:

  • drill with a set of drills for metal work;
  • grinder or angle grinder;
  • channel beams;
  • bayonet shovel;
  • self-tapping screws for metal and thermal washers in the color of the finishing material.

We proceed to determine the best location in the local area. In the case of a reservoir, it makes sense to place a gazebo on the upper edge of the coast. The building should be located on a well-visible site, as it is an adornment of the entire landscape design.

Having finished with the choice of a place, we proceed to the preparation of the site. To do this, in accordance with the plan drawn up, it will be necessary to remove the sod from the soil along its perimeter and apply marking lines. Next, we dig recesses according to the number of support pillars with a depth of 50–60 cm.

As racks, a profile with a length that takes into account the gap of the pipe in the prepared pit is very often used. The optimal cross-sectional values of the future support element vary from 80 × 80 mm with a wall thickness of 2.5–3 mm. To give greater stability, it would be useful to weld the heels to the supports.

For the construction of a gazebo, it is most rational to use a pile or columnar type of foundation. Having finished with digging holes, we proceed to the installation of support posts and tamping the place of contact with the ground. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to fill the recesses with crushed bricks or small stones, then fill them with a cement-sand mixture or concrete and level them to the building level.

Metal strapping includes the manufacture of a metal frame, which rests on supports and is subsequently the basis for the entire structure. It must be equipped and placed on optimal height so that in further man at the entrance and exit did not have to do unnecessary actions to overcome this element of the gazebo.

Sheathing construction involves the use of polymeric materials. Sheets are fastened by means of self-tapping screws or bolts to the truss system. The rafters are made from a profile pipe similar to the one presented above. Leaning on the supports, the beams converge in the center of the structure at an angle of 10–15°. Next, using a thin metal profile, we carry out the crate in increments of 35–40 cm - this will significantly reduce the windage of the polycarbonate and will not allow the sheets to bend unnecessarily, loosening the joints.

Having no experience in making a roof, the emphasis should be on the classic gable structure with a triangular shape. If the length of the rafters exceeds 150 cm, then it will be useful to weld additional spacers and a central beam to them.

For the design of the walls of the structure, geometric or bizarre shapes made of metal rods are suitable. You can also use a wooden crate in combination with fresh flowers or vines climbing from the base to the roof. If you paint the wooden and metal elements of the gazebo in a timely manner, then it will serve you for many years.

Wood is usually coated with antiseptic and varnish, which can be applied both before the installation process and after. As for metal elements, in this case it should be borne in mind that surface treatment is carried out upon completion of all work, since the painted components are quite difficult to weld with each other.

In conclusion, I would like to note that the success of any construction lies in strict adherence to the instructions, the correctness of the drawn up drawing and the accuracy of the measurements taken. The gazebo, made using profile pipes, will not only please the owner and his guests with its magnificent appearance for a long time, but will also become a place where you can relax, forgetting about the bustle of the city.

Schemes and drawings

According to the scheme, it is easier to make a gazebo. We suggest you choose the appropriate design option:

A photo

A metal gazebo is a wonderful decoration for a country house. It diversifies the landscape design, shelters from the sun's rays, and becomes a convenient place for receiving guests.

The most successful option for such a design is considered a profile pipe, but first you should develop a drawing of a gazebo from a profile pipe.

Advantages of the used profile tube blanks

The sizes of arbors from a profile pipe can be very different: from small to large-sized buildings. Prof. the pipe allows you to embody any fantasy of the master.

Profile pipes have become very popular building materials, to build from them is not at all expensive, they are easy to use, reliable and serve for a long time.

The workpiece of any profile is rigid and durable. Its weight is much less than that of analogues of other types of rolled metal products. From all this, the following advantages of this product are manifested:

  • ease of transportation of building materials for construction;
  • ample opportunities for developing the shape of the future structure;
  • ease of maintenance.

For the construction of a gazebo, it is recommended to use galvanized blanks as a starting material. They eliminate the annual need to tint the building in places where rust forms.

Types of structures

The choice of the type of construction is an important point. Because this structure can be capital or collapsible. How a collapsible and stationary structure made of a profile pipe, made by hand, looks like, the video clearly demonstrates. Having studied it, you can choose the most optimal option for yourself.

Collapsible option

This is a prefabricated installation, where the frame is made of square or rectangular tube products. For a canopy on such a gazebo, plastic or waterproof fabrics are used. This setup has a number of significant advantages:

  • Easy assembly. Even inexperienced beginners can easily handle it.
  • Fast installation. You can assemble such a design in a few hours.
  • You can use such a structure from early spring to late autumn. Plastic protects against the harmful effects of wind and rain. To protect the gazebo, it is enough to disassemble it and hide it for storage.
  • Another significant advantage is mobility. This gazebo, if desired, can be easily removed and reinstalled.
  • For this structure, it is not necessary to prepare the foundation, and take pipes of large diameter.

Stationary option

Such a building is installed capitally. For the frame and lintels, a steel profile, brick and wood are used. A prerequisite for the construction is the presence of a foundation. The design of this type is complex, and its creation will require more material and time costs than a collapsible gazebo.

pros stationary structure:

  • The presence of a foundation and profile pipe-rolling products give the structure high strength and durability. It is able to withstand high loads from winds, rainwater and snow.
  • During construction, it is possible to apply different types of execution. The building can fit furniture, barbecue, stove. It can be connected to electricity. This design can be glazed and heated.
  • An additional advantage of the structure is the possibility of implementing various types of design.

Design and drawing development

How to properly weld a gazebo from a profile pipe so that it is strong and reliable? To do this, you first need to carry out preparatory work.

They include drafting. This is necessary in order to get an idea of how the future building will look and what details it will contain.

And it doesn’t matter for a stationary or collapsible structure, it will be compiled. It will help to establish the amount of materials needed for work and what parts will have to be built. The drawings are presented in our article.

An exemplary version of the scheme of a rectangular structure from profile blanks

Racks for support (4 or 6) are introduced into the drawings of such a building, which are fastened with jumpers. In the figure, you need to clearly draw the features of the lower and upper parts of the structure, as well as the supporting elements, the frame and the roof.

For strapping and frame, you can take both the same cross-sectional profile and diverse. It is also important to consider that the number roof slopes and number of racks should be made the same. Most often, for such a gazebo, a height of three and a half meters is used.

IMPORTANT! If a drawing is being developed for a standard gazebo with welded assemblies, then tolerances should be taken into account. Otherwise, as a result, the dimensions will not match those indicated in the plan.

Material selection

Roof. It is most often used for:

  • Decking.
  • Ondulin.
  • Tarpaulin or PVC tarpaulin.
  • Tiling.

Pavilions from prof. pipes and polycarbonate, photos of which can be viewed further, is the most common option.

Polycarbonate differs from other materials in its low price, which dictates its high popularity.

It also has a large assortment of choices, and can be: matte, glossy, translucent. Buyers can easily choose the option that best suits a particular design solution.

However, this material does not respond well to low temperatures and its experts do not recommend using it for a permanently arranged structure. For a longer period, it will be able to serve in a collapsible structure.

Walls and partitions. They are made of wood, professional pipes, glass, cellular polycarbonate, and even artistic forging parts are used.

This choice depends on financial capabilities and desires.

Main stages of work

And now it's time to consider in detail,. This construction is carried out in the following sequence:

  • foundation preparation;
  • installation of supports;
  • strapping device from below;
  • strapping device at the top;
  • fixing beams and rafters;
  • decoration inside;
  • roof lining;
  • frame sheathing.

Site preparation and foundation laying

Brief plan. According to the plan, marking is carried out on the ground. In the corners of the rectangle, they dig recesses for supports and pour a crushed stone layer. Then they put a profile and fill it with a solution of cement. The floor of the future gazebo is sprinkled with sand and decorated with any convenient material. It can be for example: ceramic or paving slabs.

When choosing a place on the site, you need to stop at the most picturesque option. A good place for the location of the building will be, for example, on the shore. This building is a significant addition to the design landscape design and this should be taken into account.

Once a site has been chosen, the preparation of the area can begin. They begin work by removing the top layer of soil and cleaning the roots of plants. According to the drawing, markup is applied. After that, a trench is dug for the foundation. Experts advise in such cases to lay a columnar foundation.

Pits are drilled at the corners of the building, 60 cm deep. Crushed stone is poured into these recesses by 20 cm, a profile is installed and poured with concrete. How evenly the pillars are set is checked by the building level.

IMPORTANT! For support posts, the pipe is cut with a margin of 50 cm. It is this part of the pipe that is buried in the foundation. The cross section of the pipe should be 80x80mm, the wall at the blanks should have a thickness of 2.5mm. To increase the stability of the racks, a heel is welded to them.

After the preparation of the site is completed, the foundation is erected. This work takes place in the following sequence:

  • When the trenches are ready, you need to tamp the soil.
  • After the racks-supports are laid.
  • The trench is then filled with concrete. The solution is prepared in proportions of 1 to 3, and I advise you to add granite screenings to it.

For construction on a metal frame, a columnar foundation is suitable. But, if a brazier or barbecue is installed in the building, then you need to fill in the tape base.

strapping

The excess part of the blanks is cut off with a grinder and welded onto the racks. The cut points on the workpieces are pre-treated with a file.

After the strapping is assembled at the bottom and at the top. The blanks are fastened at such distances that correspond to the size of the material for cladding.

If a hexagonal structure is being built, then in addition to pipes, a channel should also be used. At the same time, the area is divided by a pole of identical parts, the channel is also cut into identical parts and everything is fixed by welding.

Roof

The roof of the gazebo can be made flat or pitched. For the second option, rafters from a professional pipe are installed and welded. The workpiece in this case is used exactly the same as for the main frame.

To build a square or rectangular shape, the rafters are laid out in the shape of a triangle at an inclination of approximately 15 degrees. And for flat roofs you can only get by with beams.

If an overall structure is being built, where the size of the rafters exceeds one and a half meters, then it is supplemented with spacers. And, using a thin professional pipe, they make a crate in increments of 0.35 m.

Structural walls

The sides are advised to decorate. You can make a lattice from the same professional pipe that was used for the frame, or you can take thinner products.

For such work, you can take a variety of materials. So, for example, a crate made of wood looks very beautiful. Or you can use polycarbonate sheathing.

Arbor from grapes

If a grape pavilion appears on the summer cottage, then guests in such a house will be able not only to take a break from the heat in a cozy place, but also enjoy delicious berries. Arbor for grapes from a profile pipe will be a real decoration of any home.

IMPORTANT! Fruiting plants require a solid foundation to grow.

For them, you can design:

  • Temporary or seasonal facility. This structure from a profile pipe is a collapsible structure. It is used only in warm weather, and with the advent of cold weather, it is removed and hidden for storage. Distinctive feature of this option - light weight and mobility. Otherwise, the building will be difficult to disassemble and move. It is also noteworthy that for this type of buildings you can not prepare the foundation.
  • Permanent building. This is a serious design, which involves a foundation in the form of a foundation and strong supports. How to build it was discussed in the description above.

There are a lot of varieties of buildings for grapes, we list them below:

  1. Arched view.
  2. Tapestry, which consists of two planes.
  3. Round building.
  4. Building attached to the house and many others.

Irregular and multifaceted arbors deserve special attention. In this situation, everything depends on the owner's imagination and the size of the yard area.

If you wish, you can make a construction project with a professional designer who can effectively implement the most unusual fantasies. Such professionals are capable of even futuristic solutions.

Yes, such participation will cost money, but in the end, the owner receives a design that can surprise others with the scope and unusualness of the solution.

IMPORTANT! The building can be made in any style, but it must necessarily correspond to the overall design of the site and the house. And grape varieties for such a structure should be selected in accordance with the characteristics of the regional climate.

A do-it-yourself gazebo made from a profile pipe made according to our drawings and technology will be a great place for your family to relax and an excellent shelter from the hot summer sun.

Here you can grow delicious and sweet grapes for the table with your own hands, which will become not only a gourmet treat, but also an additional decoration for a country house.

Entries

A gazebo on a suburban area has long ceased to be a curiosity; almost all the owners of the hacienda are trying to make this simple building. It not only serves as a decorative element, but is also a place where, in favorable weather, all family members spend a lot of free time, dine and cook food in it. It is worth considering in more detail such a simple and practical invention as a do-it-yourself gazebo from a profile pipe and drawings of its designs.

Peculiarities

A gazebo in a suburban area in most cases is a canopy with a roof and half-open walls, equipped with benches. In addition to these obligatory details are an internal table, a stove or a barbecue, flower beds and climbing plants, glazing and other pleasant details - it all depends on the imagination and capabilities of the owners of the cottage.

A profile pipe frame for such a street building may have the following advantages:

  • it is durable and resistant to deformation, mechanical damage;
  • the metal used for the profile is durable;

  • the construction of such a gazebo can be cheaper than from natural wood and even more so from natural stone;
  • due to the ease of processing, the metal profile allows you to create any complex structures;
  • in the future, the metal frame can be sheathed with wood, plastic, polycarbonate, and other materials.

The metal profile is subject to corrosion, but this drawback can be easily corrected by painting its surface with any paint of your choice or by treating it with a protective putty.

For the manufacture of such arbors, hollow pipes are usually taken, having a rectangular or square section in profile, made of ordinary or galvanized steel. The dimensions and thickness of the walls can be different, the main thing is to calculate that the whole structure can withstand the weight of the roof and other hanging elements. Bearing profiles usually have a larger cross section, and lintels are thinner.

The advantages of metal profiles are also that they are hollow, that is, they are light in weight with sufficient strength. When assembled, the elements provide a uniform distribution of loads on all sections of the structure and on the elements associated with it. A rectangular profile is easy to cut, drill holes in it, match, make the necessary details. It should be borne in mind that when creating reliable gazebos from a profile pipe, welding may be required.

Projects

The availability of material and ease of processing allow you to create many interesting projects of gazebos from a profile pipe. They differ significantly in external design, but the drawings of the supporting frames are approximately the same.

One of the simplest examples is the project of a gazebo in the form of a square in profile with a height of 2.7 m. Due to its small size, such a design can be placed even on a tiny summer cottage, however, this is a full-fledged recreation area that can be equipped with a waterproof roof, equipped with walls, protected from wind and rain.

Hollow beams with a section of 80x80 mm and a wall thickness of 2.5 mm are taken as load-bearing profiles. For partitions, roofs, fences and benches, you can take thinner metal slats, for example, 20x50 mm.

There are two installation options for this design. If it is placed on open ground, then under its racks it is necessary to lay a strip foundation. Under 4 bearing supports, holes are pulled out a little wider than the profiles themselves, and filled with concrete mortar. Another option is if the gazebo will stand on a solid base, such as paving slabs or a concrete slab. Then the foundation is not required, the structure itself will be stable enough not to collapse under a strong wind.

Vertical load-bearing racks are connected by horizontal jumpers in 3 - 4 rows on three sides of the gazebo, in the fourth of the thin rails a doorway is made. One side of the square is a little over two meters wide. The top of the base is also fastened with jumpers, the roof is made four-pitched and symmetrical. Welding is used to connect all the elements, after assembling the entire structure, it can be sheathed with any material you like: wood, plywood, chipboard or plastic, cover the roof with metal tiles, slate or ondulin.

An interesting project is a portable gazebo made of a profile pipe with dimensions of 1920x1660 mm and a height of 2300 mm.

You can easily assemble it in 1 day, and place it anywhere, if necessary, move to any convenient place. To reduce weight, profile pipes 20x40 mm with a wall thickness of 2.5 mm are taken from galvanized steel. The semicircular roof rests on two arc profiles, it can be covered with transparent polycarbonate on top, and if you want a shadow, you can use a metal profile sheet.

For benches in such a gazebo with a semicircular roof, you can take polished boards, painted or varnished; to facilitate the whole structure, it is better to use plastic seats. In order to be able to lean, it is worth adding comfortable backs on the side. In the middle of the gazebo there is a table at which several people can freely fit. The whole structure is designed in such a way that it can be easily carried by hand: two or three people.

Recently, hexagonal or octagonal covered gazebos created in the Finnish style have gained immense popularity in our country. In the central part, they may have a brick oven for internal heating and cooking, the chimney is led out through the center of the pitched roof. The walls of such buildings are solid, solid, can be additionally insulated, inside it is possible to conduct electric lighting. A similarity of a Finnish gazebo can also be created on your suburban area using a metal frame.

The frame drawing for a Finnish-style hexagonal gazebo is very simple, it includes only a few metal elements.

For load-bearing supports, profiles of 100x100 mm should be selected, which are recessed into the ground and poured with concrete under the columnar foundation. The height from the bottom to the base of the roof can be from 1200 to 1500 mm, the roof coverings consist of 50x50 mm profiles. The side walls for additional rigidity are fastened with horizontal lintels made of thinner pipes, then the frames of the fence, internal benches, and the doorway are built up.

All work on cutting profiles and welding the frame of a hexagonal gazebo is carried out in one day. Then you can figure out what kind of roofing and finishing material to use, and proceed to its arrangement. It is good to install such solid buildings on a solid foundation, pour a concrete floor under them or lay them with curb tiles. The advantage is that in the future such a gazebo can be modernized as much as you like: build a stone oven with an oven inside, make glazing, line the bottom with bricks, and so on.

The original project is a large rectangular gazebo with a gable roof.

The option is open, but if desired, such a drawing can be changed, and the walls can be closed to the maximum with any available material. For vertical racks, the same hollow profiles 50x50 mm are used, the lower part and the roof are fastened with horizontal and inclined jumpers. Sloping slopes allow rainwater to drain and provide good shade. Various materials can be used as a roofing: slate, ondulin, profiled galvanized sheet.

The internal space of such a gazebo allows you to freely place a stove with a brazier, a barbecue, a cooking area, a dining table with benches. The roof can be equipped in such a way that a chimney or hood exits through it. The structure itself is best installed on a concrete base, it is worthwhile to pre-mark and prepare the pouring site, the columnar foundation for the bearing metal supports of the gazebo. After installing the floor and supporting structures, you can connect the rest of the necessary elements, equip the roof, make beautiful fences and benches, and other decor details.

Design

The profile pipe frame itself has many advantages, it is strong, non-flammable, durable, but does not have a pleasant appearance. Therefore, after creating the base, you need to start decorating. There are a huge number of design options for gazebos in the country, the main thing is to show your imagination and bring your ideas to life.

First of all, the profile can be painted.

The metal surface does not have a natural pleasant shade, in addition, is subject to corrosion, which over time will give an even more unfavorable appearance. For painting, waterproof, water-based brands are used - oil, acrylic, polyurethane, epoxy, aerosol. The main requirement is that they be resistant to sunlight, water, and temperature extremes. As for the color, here it is necessary to choose such shades so that they blend harmoniously with the rest of the details of the gazebo decor.

The metal frame is successfully combined with forged or welded gratings, which, when made by craftsmen, can be real works of art. They can be equipped with fences around the perimeter, the space under the roof, the doorway. From metal, you can make other elements of decor and everyday life: benches, tables, bins and flower beds, barbecue.

The only negative is that metal parts significantly increase the weight of the gazebo.

Polished, lacquered wood will always go well with dark metal textures. From it, in addition to gazebos from profile pipes, you can make internal benches with backs, tabletops, flower beds, tables. For fastening solid wooden boards to metal, threaded bolts with nuts or anchors can be used. For decor, it is good to use wooden platbands, fences, carved skates under the roof.

The most popular types of wood for arranging metal arbors are pine, beech, oak, birch. The wood must be well dried, polished, covered with a transparent varnish. Strong and lightweight wooden structures reduce total weight gazebos, it sags less on the ground, and if it is portable, then it is easier to move it to another place.

A very popular material in the arrangement of metal gazebos in recent years is polycarbonate.

This is a multi-layer profiled sheet made of polymeric materials, lightweight and easy to process. It is attached to the profiles with bolts or screws, it can also be easily removed. Polycarbonate is a transparent or translucent material, usually colorless, but there are also various color options. If you want to make more natural light inside the gazebo, then the roof of this material is the most suitable option.

A shed or gable roof on a gazebo from a profile pipe can be equipped with sheets of colored corrugated board. This is a wonderful lightweight material that is not afraid of moisture and deformation. It is possible to choose any color, with such a roof the gazebo will always look harmonious. Colored metal roofing is also very popular, it can also close a hexagonal gazebo. Metal sheets are simply attached to the roof frame, it is also easy to cut a piece of the desired size and shape from them, and they will last more than one season.

The design of the gazebo will look very impressive if you provide the frame with climbing plants. It is very simple to make a lattice or a guide pole out of metal rods; at the base, place flower beds from any available material: stone, brick, wood. After a few seasons, you can achieve a stunning hedge of dense thickets that will give shade inside the building.

Construction

It is very easy to make a garden gazebo from a profile pipe with your own hands due to the cheapness of the material and the availability of tools. To begin with, it is worth step by step to distribute all the stages of this work. On our personal plot we choose a place for future construction, it should be as flat as possible with stable dry soil. It would be useful to choose the location relative to the sun, passageways, noise sources. The place for the gazebo should be comfortable.

Then a design drawing with dimensions is developed, preferably in two or three projections, from which it will also be seen how much material and fasteners need to be prepared. If the gazebo is stationary, then a flat area and a place for pouring the foundation are immediately prepared. For support posts from a professional pipe, it is enough to fill in a columnar one with a maximum depth of 0.5 m.

Holes for pouring are dug manually or with a garden drill, a mixture of sand and Portland cement can be used as a solution, crushed stone, gravel, and small stones can be used to reinforce.

The main supporting posts made of metal profile are fixed in the foundation. After that, it is necessary to make and assemble a frame from metal elements.

To work, you will need the following tools:

  • drill with drills for metal;
  • Bulgarian;
  • tape measure and marker;
  • self-tapping screws and bolts for metal;
  • welding machine.

Installing a gazebo from a profile pipe with your own hands (photo below) is a simple matter, although it sometimes seems at first glance that it will be difficult for a beginner to take on such work. However, if you follow the recommendations and correctly treat the construction project, then there will be no problems at all.

Suppose you saw a beautiful gazebo from a profile pipe on the Internet or on another site and thought, “Yes, I would like to see this on my own site.” Can you build it? Surprised, but the correct answer is - with ease. Next, we will tell you how to do it right.

What is a profile pipe?

A profile pipe is a pipe with any type of section except for an oval one. It is believed that this material is very good for buildings of any size, and I must say that both professionals and beginners love to use it for construction: the former appreciate practicality, the latter appreciate the ease of erecting a building.

Advantages and disadvantages

Among the undeniable advantages of raw materials are:

  • versatility (not only withstands quite serious power loads, but also looks attractive due to its delicacy and lightness);
  • construction speed (fitting parts and assembling the gazebo will not take much time);
  • strength (achieved due to the cavity of the pipe);
  • economic attractiveness (building will not cost as much as, for example, brick).

If we consider the disadvantages of the material, then its inflexibility immediately comes to mind - in order to bend pipes, you must have special equipment. On the other hand, this factor provides the structures with a much greater strength - and it is impossible to say how serious a disadvantage this is, say, with a big wind.

From the profile pipes, gazebos are installed mainly summer, open.

Assembly types and shapes

Profile pipes are distinguished by a variety of shapes:

  • rectangular section;
  • oval;
  • flat oval;
  • square.

Each form is used for a specific purpose. For example, if you decide to decorate a future gazebo with homemade furniture, then best material for it there will be a flat-oval pipe - it is the most flexible of the above.

Square and rectangular products are best used when building a gazebo on a flat surface - this will increase the reliability of the building.

Depending on the future load and the expected environmental conditions - both natural and technological - pipes are produced with or without galvanization (they are also called "black pipes")

Do-it-yourself gazebos from a profile pipe - photo instructions for a step-by-step construction process

Having decided on the material, you can proceed to the direct planning of creating a gazebo from a profile pipe with your own hands. A photo of the finished structure can be seen below.

As soon as you create a clear plan for yourself, the process will no longer seem overwhelming and impossible. You will need:

  1. prepare materials and tools;
  2. choose a suitable place on the site;
  3. draw up a project;
  4. lay the foundation;
  5. build a frame;
  6. erect a roof;
  7. lay the floor.

Choosing a place in the yard

In order to choose a place on the site, carefully look around: in the event that you have a place where there are no mounds and pits, then feel free to choose it, because it is best to install the gazebo on a flat surface. It is good to pay attention to the vegetation growing nearby - constructions of this kind, openwork and light, look especially advantageous next to lush trees or rose bushes.

Having picked up a good place, you can start creating a gazebo project from a profile pipe with drawings. Such a design is usually made open - it is unlikely to be suitable for winter gatherings, but it is quite suitable for creating an elegant composition on the site.

Next, decide on the shape and size of the structure - there will be quite a few options for it. It can be both and simple awnings terraces adjacent to the veranda - you can see samples from us. Dimensions are completely your privilege, here you are free to choose on your own, however, it is important to know that structures larger than 6 m are usually not made.

Now is the time to work on the drawing of the future project. If you are not very good at drawing, this should not be a cause for concern - there are always many programs on the Internet that will help you make the right sketch.

In order for the drawing of a gazebo from a profile pipe to be competent and “readable”, indicate on it the dimensions, elements, as well as methods for connecting the professional pipe. The detail in the drawing may be superfluous, however, everything related to numbers (area and dimensions) is better to indicate exactly.

You may even need a few sketches - it is desirable that you have a general plan, diagram and angles on hand that require detailing.

Necessary material and tools

To build a gazebo from pipes with your own hands, you will need the following materials:

Screws with thermal washers

Proftruba

Cellular polycarbonate

screws

Gazebo tools:

Bulgarian

Pliers

Welding machine

Gloves

When building a gazebo from a profile, you will need at least minimal welding skills to weld metal structures. Of course, there is the option of using bolted joints, however, they do not look as neat as welds.

One of the advantages of the profile as a material can be considered its lightness - the design, thanks to such raw materials, also has a low weight. This greatly simplifies the installation task - you do not have to deal with laying the foundation - you can quite get by with a columnar foundation. The secret of the technology lies in the concreting exclusively of the support posts.

To do this, dig in the territory you have chosen (having previously cleared it of dirt and grass) the required number of holes (according to the number of racks). The pits should not be very deep - up to 0.5 m.

Profile pipes with a cross section of at least 75x75mm are used as racks. Racks for gazebos are installed vertically and then poured with concrete.

If the gazebo is planned to be small, then you can abandon the foundation altogether.

As soon as you have finished mounting the racks, you can start building the frame of the gazebo from the profile pipe with your own hands, photo below. The so-called strapping is the creation of horizontal racks, which are necessary to strengthen the structure and give it an attractive appearance.

How to weld a gazebo from a profile for a summer residence with high quality? To do this, you will need to make samples of the appropriate size and use a welding machine. It is necessary to weld the lower parts in such a way that they do not interfere with entering the gazebo, and the upper ones so that it is possible to enter it without tilting your head.

Bottom trim

Bottom strapping is needed to add strength to the structure. It can be performed immediately after laying the foundation. To do this, it is necessary to lay the binding pipe around the entire perimeter of the foundation, before that, welding them to the posts. After laying the lower harness, they usually begin to build walls, but since metal gazebos are most often openwork, it is best to immediately move on to the upper harness.

Top harness

The height of the upper trim must be sufficient to distribute the loads of the upper structure. Otherwise, the upper strapping is performed in the same way as the lower strapping - using a welding machine or a bolted method.

If you are not sure about the reliability of the structure, then it is best to add diagonal braces for strength.

Depending on the design of the homemade gazebo, you can sheathe its sides with clapboard, boards, or leave it empty, then your gazebo will look more like a canopy.

Roof assembly

If the walls are ready, then you can proceed to the roofing. To do this, you will need to make metal rafters - you can use all the same pipes for them. Position them at a certain angle (10-15 degrees). After that, you can lay the crate (wooden structure): for it you can use a thin profile pipe that needs to be welded between the rafters.

As soon as the frame of the roof of the gazebo is made, proceed to the coating: for this it is used as a slate , as well as polycarbonate . The first is considered the most economical option, however, aesthetically less attractive than the second. Polycarbonate, on the other hand, is a durable material, but it can hardly be called environmentally friendly and, moreover, it is highly flammable. However, most often it is used for roofing because of its ease of operation.

Polycarbonate sheets are laid out on the resulting lattice and fixed with screws with thermal washers (ordinary nails can also be used, but they are less reliable). This work will not take much time.

floor laying

Since gazebos from a profile pipe do not imply a solid foundation, then to lay the floor you will initially have to make an earthen pillow (a hole of small depth is dug and then covered with rubble and sand). This pit is subsequently filled with concrete mortar, after which you can choose which floor you would like to see in your gazebo - it can be stone, brick, tile or wood.

An asphalt floor is also perfect for an elegant design - since the gazebo will be seasonal, and is unlikely to be used in winter, you will save time when building such a floor.

decoration

Construction is over and now only the pleasant chores of decorating your summer house remain. In fact, a building cast from metal does not need additional decoration if you take care of the patterns and upholstery of the walls in advance. If not, it doesn’t matter, you can always decorate the structure with climbing plants like clematis or grapes.

Inside, it is worth installing several benches (you can make them from the remains of a profile pipe), as well as put a small table. If desired, you can conduct electricity or install floor lamps in the gazebo itself and near the path to it.

Exploitation

A few words need to be said regarding the care of the building. Even during construction, we advise you to treat the pipes with anti-corrosion paint for metal - this will ensure a longer service life of the gazebo, prevent the appearance of ugly rust spots.

The gazebo is not afraid of temperature changes, however, the heat resistance of pipes can play a trick on those who want to make furniture out of them - sitting on hot metal is not at all comfortable, so we recommend stocking up on soft pillows or positioning the building in such a way that it is always in the shade trees.
