"Men don't like big breasts anymore." Candid interview with a stripper. The most common myths about strippers And who reacts more adequately

Sometimes they go outside the offices. Today is just such a day. We decided to tell readers about a profession that always attracts attention, but still remains a mystery. A stripper from one of the Moscow clubs shared with us all the secrets of her work: from clients to earnings.

What is the difference between an office and a club?

I want to note right away that yes, I am a stripper, but please do not confuse me with representatives of another, more ancient, profession. I know how people usually react to me when they find out what I do. And still I think that there is nothing wrong with my occupation.

What's more, I think it's more fun and lucrative than cute cozy office jobs. What is the joy of an office worker? Gets up every day early in the morning. Not getting enough sleep, he runs to work on a sweaty subway or strong traffic jams. He sits all day at the monitor, spoiling his eyesight and not only his eyesight. And he gets his 40-80 thousand rubles. Best case scenario. For me, it's different.

Even in my youth, I learned what very easy and affordable money is, and I got used to it. I didn't get this habit from my family. My mother works at the post office, my father is a driver. I knew how hard it was for them to get a livelihood, and, at the same time, I myself had the opportunity to receive many times more, but without making so much effort. Time passed, and those easy money ceased to be so easy ... My friend went to study at the institute, and I went to learn to dance striptease. And now I'm here, in a club in the center of Moscow.

By the way, I have a daughter, she is almost a year old, and a boyfriend. He knows about my work and is not at all embarrassed, he loves me, he is pleased with my salary, the way I look and what I can do.

Like a taxi driver

My working day, or rather night, starts at 9 pm and lasts until 6 am.

I go to the club, change clothes, put on make-up, do my hair. When the show starts, we take turns going on stage and dancing. Each stripper invents a performance for herself. It lasts from 7 to 15 minutes.

After my exit, I go down to the hall and, while other girls are dancing, I work with tables, performing personal dances. You can, of course, not do this, you can go back behind the stage and smoke there while waiting for your turn. But they won't give you money!

When the last girl finishes dancing, I go on stage again. As a taxi driver, he took the client and again stood at the end of the line.

In the team, only I am a Muscovite. The rest of the girls are newcomers. The most interesting thing is that mostly from Ivanovo. Of course, we have tough competition. For example, new girls (and the turnover is constant) are allowed to go on stage only last, when the "old-timers" have already sorted out the main "contingent".

"Contingent" against "wrappers"

The fact is that we divide guests into two categories: "wrappers" and "contingent".

“Fantiki” are young people, students or novice office plankton who this evening decided to change traditional shrimp beer for naked women. Each has a thousand rubles in his pocket, and with all your efforts, they will not give you more than this amount.

"Contingent" - on the contrary, respectable adult men, polished, in expensive suits, a tasty morsel for us. There are many foreigners among them. On the "contingent" in one evening you can earn from 5 to 10 thousand rubles. The main thing is to find an approach and correctly “dissolve” the client.

And those and others, in general, can be seen immediately, even if only by what is on their tables. Even during your dance, you plan for yourself clients in the hall: who is looking at you, who can be better divorced. True, sometimes you can make a mistake, you look - it seems that his tie is expensive, and the drink is not cheap on the table, you think - "contingent!" You come up, dance in front of him, and he is a “wrapper”. Just skillfully pretends to be.

Psychology in general is a very important moment in my profession. You need to try to create a comfortable environment for the client and make sure that he calmly and with pleasure gives his money.

You can also get money for expensive food

I don't have any salary. They do not transfer money to my card twice a month. I work on a two-by-two schedule. And night to night in terms of earnings is not necessary. Sometimes it is possible to earn 1-1.5 thousand rubles, and sometimes - 10,000-15,000 rubles. It all depends on the day of the week, holidays and so on. Well, and the desire to earn. If you go on stage, take off all your clothes and go back to the dressing room, you won’t get much. Important twinkle in the eyes and arrogance. In our world, only these qualities pay off. The competition is wild.

By the way, in addition to divorcing rich uncles for money for striptease, there is another, completely legal, way to earn money. True, also with the help of the same "contingent". It happens, and quite often, one of them asks you to sit at his table, offers to order something ... The main thing here is not to be modest and order drinks and food from a special (expensive) menu. Then you will get a percentage of the order amount. I receive approximately 25% of the order amount. The money is issued by the administrator at the end of the shift.

Professional risks

Of course, in my work, unpleasant situations happen when clients go beyond the limits, stop controlling themselves and dissolve these very hands. But this happens quite rarely. Depends on the general atmosphere. Sometimes she gets very heated and on some evenings the guards literally do not have time to drag the overexcited clients away from the girls. And it happens that everything goes quietly, peacefully and sedately.

While I am in the club, I am not afraid of clients. Security is everywhere, which, in case of anything, will always come up and explain to the client how to behave with a girl. In addition, you can negotiate with a girl - the club has a separate room in which strippers perform private dances for a separately agreed amount. There are no fixed prices for private dances - it all depends on how you communicate with the client.

Employment conditions

I have no work book and no contract with the club. I can stop going to work at one point and that's it. No one will ask me for a letter of resignation.

But I always look good: manicure, pedicure, hairdresser and solarium at my service. Here is a social package. True, I buy my stage costume myself, with my own money. Although the costume is loudly said. Panties, bra, skirt, blouse - you can buy both in a regular store and in a specialized one. You don’t need to invent anything extraordinary, the main thing is to make it look sexy.

And everything would be fine, but only I get very tired and drink a lot of alcohol (if the client treats me, you can’t refuse). I have no idea what I'll do after 30.

First black professional hockey player

On January 18, 1958, the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League played against rivals from Montreal. An ordinary NHL regular season game went down in history by the fact that it was the first time since the creation of the league that a black hockey player appeared on the ice.
Twenty-two-year-old forward Willie O'Ree realized his lifelong dream of becoming a professional hockey player. A native of the small Canadian town of Fredericton, he skated for the first time at the age of three. The child literally fell in love with this game and was ready to spend all his free time on the rink. But few believed that a black boy could become a real hockey player. In addition, Willy played baseball well and he was predicted to be successful in this particular sport. O'Ree played in youth baseball teams, but the dream of becoming a hockey player did not let go. Then, fate prepared another test for him: during a hockey match in the junior league, the puck hit Willie in the face and his right eye practically stopped seeing. But the guy did his best to hide his blindness and continued to play hockey. The efforts of the young athlete were not in vain, he was noticed by the bosses of the Boston Bruins hockey club and O'Ree was included in its composition. True, he played only two matches that season, but these were games in the strongest professional hockey league in the world. After leaving Boston, Willy continued to play in other, less significant hockey leagues. Two years later, in Boston, they remembered him again and O'Ree spent another season in the team, this time more successful: 43 games in which the hockey player scored 4 goals and made 10 assists. Although his career in the NHL was short-lived, in total, in different hockey leagues, the athlete spent 21 seasons, playing a total of 1288 matches and scoring 523 goals in them. The sporting successes of the world's first black professional hockey player did not go unnoticed. In 2012, the name of Willie O'Ree was inducted into the Boston Bruins Hockey Club Hall of Fame, and in the athlete's homeland, in Fredericton, an ice palace was named after him. Interestingly, the second, after O'Ree, African American appeared in the NHL only in 1974. The Washington Capitals have signed a contract with Michael Marson. His career on professional ice lasted 6 years, after which Marson retired from hockey and became a famous karate master.

Unusual plant eremurus

On the slopes of the Trans-Ili Ala-Tau, giant flowers grow up to two and a half meters high - eremurus (locally - sharysh). For the beauty of a tall arrow with a mass of pinkish, sometimes white flowers, eremurus received in the old days the popular name "Royal crutch".
Amazing plant! At one time, high-quality glue was extracted from eremurus, and fresh leaves were eaten on a par with cabbage. It has long been known that there are a lot of vitamins in eremurus. In addition, Soviet scientists discovered a hitherto unknown substance in the rhizomes of this plant, which was called eremuran. This substance is very valuable for the chemical industry. It will find application in pharmacology and confectionery. With the help of eremuran, you can, for example, prepare ice cream that will hardly melt in the sun.

Why do bulls react this way to red?

For several centuries, there has been an opinion that bulls hate the color red and therefore, only at the sight of it, they fall into a rage. However, it is not. Bulls are color blind, and for them the color scheme of the fabric does not matter at all. So why, then, during bullfighting, these animals rush with wild fury at the red cloak that the bullfighter is waving?
It turns out that the bull is annoyed by the movement of the cloak, and not by its color. The bull perceives the matador, taunting him with a bright red cape, as another bull who is clearly behaving very aggressively. And therefore, trying to defeat the enemy, the bull rushes to his most vulnerable spot - the front part, which is the same cloak. Why was the red color chosen for the cloak? Yes, simply because this way the spectacle of bullfighting looks more effective and colorful.

Where and when did striptease and dancing pole first appear

The tradition of pole dancing was started by strippers, who began using vertical bars installed in clubs to diversify their numbers. So very quickly they invented a new dance, graceful. sensual and sexy, but at the same time acrobatic and complex, requiring physical fitness and good skill.

It used to be possible to learn how to spin on a pole only by getting a job in a specialized institution, and the art of handling a magic wand was passed from stripper to stripper, and people who were not related to nightlife continued to form stereotypes that a decent girl did not fit " sit on a perch."

However, over time, pole dancing went beyond nightclubs, choosing sports clubs and professional dance schools. The dance has a great variety of all kinds of figures, so most often such schools give only basic rotations - then everything depends on the performer's imagination and his skill. Real pros can do extraordinary things, spin upside down, holding only their feet, develop unprecedented speeds. Americans periodically hold competitions among professionals and amateurs, in which even men participate! But, nevertheless, only nightclubs and bars can boast of the brightest representatives of striptease, for example, http://rasputinclub.ru/ offers show programs that will not leave any man indifferent.

Today in the United States, as well as in Australia, England and France, special schools are being opened that teach pole dancing, the first of these educational institutions were opened by strip club workers, confident that this sport is a solid plus.

Why are dollars the way we know them

Why is Benjamin Franklin on the 100 dollar bill? Most dollar bills feature American presidents - George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Andrew Jackson - but there are two exceptions: Alexander Hamilton (on $10) and Benjamin Franklin (on $100). Franklin is one of the "founding fathers" of America, and his signature is on the Declaration of Independence. It was also with the help of his typographical skills that the first American currency was printed.
Why is there a pyramid on the back of a dollar bill? This pyramid is part of the official seal of the United States: in the foreground - an eagle, in the background - a pyramid, it is believed that the pyramid means power, and its thirteen steps symbolize the first 13 states, the absence of a top means the need for further work.
Some cities have their own local currency! The first city to create its own currency was Ithaca, New York. Cities such as Madison, Wisconsin, Corvallis, Oregon, and Traverse City, Michigan have their own currencies.
To play Monopoly, more money is printed than real banknotes! While this may sound like an Internet myth, it is true that according to the game's makers, Parker Brothers, $30 billion worth of banknotes are printed annually for Monopoly. 95% of this money is printed to replace old, worn-out banknotes.
How many times can you fold a bill before it breaks? Each bill can be folded up and down 4,000 times, according to the Federal Reserve, the average lifespan of a dollar bill is approximately 22 months; 5 dollar - two years; ten dollar - three years; 20 dollar - four; and $50 and $100 live for nine years. Coins are more durable and can live for about 30 years.
How is money created and destroyed? The Federal Reserve decides how much money should be printed each year, and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing does the printing. When receiving cash deposits from banks, the Fed checks all currency on special equipment, the results of the check usually show that a third of the currency is unsuitable for future circulation, and these banknotes are cut in machines and replaced with freshly printed money. The “shredded” bills are either sent to landfill or packaged as souvenirs sold on field trips to the Federal Reserve Banks.
What do money and the secret service have in common? In fact, this organization was created to combat counterfeiting. Then, in 1865, this craft flourished: according to rough estimates, about a third of the currency in circulation was considered counterfeit at that time. Today, the volume of counterfeit banknotes in circulation is about $250,000.
Why do some coins have grooves? When coins were minted from precious metals such as silver or gold, some skilled thieves made good money selling the metal neatly cut from the edge of the coin. Therefore, these grooves appeared on the edges of the coins, according to the US Mint, the dime has 118 of them, the quarter has 119, and the half dollar coin has 150 grooves. Although coins are no longer made from precious metals, these grooves are preserved on them today, because thanks to them, people with visual impairments distinguish coins from each other. Interestingly, the one and five cent coins never had grooves, because they were never made from precious metals.
Is there a $10,000 note? The largest denomination at the moment is one hundred dollars, but earlier there were banknotes in denominations of $500, $1000, $5000 and $10,000, but in 1969 they were no longer printed due to lack of need, the last time such banknotes were issued in 1945. Some of these banknotes still exist and are legal tender, mostly in the hands of collectors.
How much is a two dollar bill worth? Two dollar bills have always looked funny, but they are legal tender, the two dollar bill appeared in 1862 and was discontinued in 1966. Ten years later, they were returned again as part of the celebration of the US Bicentennial. Such bills are quite rare - they make up only 1% of all paper currency in circulation, but contrary to a common misconception, they do not cost more than their face value, that is, two dollars.

Why mice are useful

The word "mouse" comes from the ancient Indo-European language, Sanskrit, and means "thief". Mice are one of the members of the rodent family, which also includes rats, gerbils, lemmings, and others.
Cats, wild dogs, foxes, birds of prey, snakes and even certain types of arthropods have been known to prey heavily on mice. However, due to its remarkable adaptability to almost any environment, the mouse is one of the most successful genera of mammals living on Earth today. Mice are common experimental animals in biology and psychology primarily because they are mammals, and also because they have a high degree of correspondence with humans. People have been eating mice since prehistoric times and still eat them as a delicacy throughout eastern Zambia and northern Malawi, although they are no longer commonly consumed by people elsewhere. These small rodents live up to their name by stealing their food from humans by eating grains, vegetables, and meat, or even skin, glue, and soap.

Elina told us her story. Photo from the site: striply.com.ua.

We agreed to meet with Elina in a cafe. A tall, pretty girl quickly entered the establishment with a graceful gait. It is impossible to immediately guess what she is doing - she is dressed modestly, her make-up is discreet. Who would have thought that the beauty has been dancing striptease for a dozen years ... Now Elina directs her own show ballet, acts as a Go-Go (sometimes topless) andorganizes erotic shows at the request of the audience.

The dance story of our heroine began a long time ago. At the age of 6, her mother gave her to ballroom dancing. Elina devoted about 7 years of her life to them. She says that she did not take first and second places in competitions below. But in adolescence, the girl began to grow rapidly, she soon became taller than all the boys of her peers. On the eve of important competitions, Elina's partner was given to another girl, along with costumes sewn by her mother for the performance. Not surviving the loss, she retired from ballroom dancing.

When the girl was 18, she saw a ballet show in a nightclub and literally fell in love with their performance. Elina realized that she wanted to go on stage. She found the choreographer's phone and they took her to ballet, although at the beginning it was free.

Later, the team broke up, for several years the dancer performed in clubs (Palladium and Yo!). Then she was offered to participate in an erotic show program at the Gulfstream establishment. For Odessa then it was a novelty. Elina agreed to dance, stripping down to her underwear. And then she became interested in moving on. In addition, they offered good money for striptease ...

- Tell us about the feeling when you undressed for the first time?

The first time I undressed with my husband on a nude beach, he loved it. I didn’t have any complexes about this, but it was strange to strip naked in front of people. It was something like a restriction of my freedom and I had to get rid of it. I remembered the first time I jumped with a parachute. Then you had to make up your mind and take a step, otherwise you could not dare. Also on the beach, I just undressed without thinking, not letting myself stop. First shock, then normal. Such a psychological break. Then I started to regularly go to the nude beach and nudity was not a problem.

In general, then in the "Gulfstream" I was paid about $ 300 (in 2003 it was good money). They gave me the number "Pirate", very beautiful. Then I began to undress all the time, I didn’t have the feeling at all that it was somehow wrong, although I often noticed people had the wrong attitude towards strippers. Probably, some imposed ideas work ...

- Yes, associations of a stripper-prostitute work in the society. Why do you think?

Definitely it is. It's thanks to the strip clubs. I've been watching this business since '96. "X" opened first, then "Lighter", then "Rasputin", then "Axis" and others, weaker ones. Any girls who are ready to work topless are recruited there. They go to rehearsals, learn to do pole tricks, spins. It's just that if you're ready to get naked, come in at 8pm and leave at 8am, dance in the club all night, then you're welcome.

The work is distributed as follows: the DJ announces the girl, she dances 2 tracks for exactly three minutes. The first track is just a dance, the second is undressing. Then the next girl comes out and they work in circles all night. After the stripper has worked on the stage, she goes out into the hall, sits down to the client and does whatever she wants with him so that he orders a private from her, and then ... there’s someone for that much. All in order for him to order a private dance, because she has 50% of it - on average, this is about 150 hryvnias. If they didn’t take her to privates, then she didn’t earn anything - she just worked for free all night. In some clubs, of course, there are rates - 50 or 100 dollars, so, purely for travel. Work every day.

- You worked in a strip club?

Yes. Somehow there was little work and I was called to the "Lighter", so to speak, for the mass character. Two girls in a row can't work all night, you need at least 10 people. I was told that one exit would be paid at 100 hryvnias, but I didn't work there for long. There was another group there. Of course, I made money, they shoved tips ... 700 hryvnias - I calmly had a thousand per night, but there was a time when I didn’t earn anything and it didn’t suit me. Then I arranged for my acquaintances, non-resident girls who needed to dance and earn money, came to visit them and realized once again that this was not mine. Strip clubs are a place where you need to sit on the hands of strangers, seduce them, persuade them ... Simple and sincere, most likely, will not survive there.

- How does an interview in a strip club go?

I think it's purely formal. If there is strictness in the institution, then they will talk to the girl, see for the first time how she works. But, in principle, if there are no girls, then those who wish come and say: "Hello, I want to work for you" and that's it. If a girl does not know how to move at all, then she will be assigned to an experienced one to work out. But in general, anyone can walk around, twist the booty of the “eight”, the most important thing in the club is to be able to speak.

- That is, the most important thing for a stripper in a club is to be able to breed in private?

Yes, imagine: a man sits down and all the girls want him to take them to private and 15 people come running. Therefore, there are some rules. For example, one girl cannot sit with a client for a long time - she sat for 5 minutes and must leave. If in these 5 minutes you managed to charm him, you got your money.

- Among the strippers in the clubs there is a hierarchy, the highest caste?

There are girls who have been working for a long time and, thanks to their experience, sit down to the client, say a few words and go to private in a couple of minutes, but there are inexperienced ones, that's all.

- That is, there is no hazing?

There are different teams. Somewhere they can shove their hair into the wall. But in general, if you behave normally, then they communicate with you normally. There is no obvious hazing. In addition, administrators also do not just sit there, they monitor and control everything. But, of course, someone can’t stand it and leaves, someone is hypocritical and sucks up ...

- Do tender friendships develop among strippers under such conditions?

It's calm. This is possible in any group.

- But it's still a non-standard team ...

Of course ... Sometimes there are girls who smoke, swear, communicate like: "Hey, bitch." Many allow this and consider it cool and fashionable. Naturally, everyone thumps - this is consumption. You drink and get a percentage of the booze that they treat you to, and they drink too much. Even if they ask not to pour them a lot, they still get drunk ...

- And what about ransom girls for the night? This is the deposit to the topic of prostitution?

There is such a moment. For a thousand or two hryvnia (this is payment for the girl’s work time), you can buy her out and take her, for example, to a restaurant. But this is a very dumb topic, because the club is not responsible for what is happening at this moment.

How do girls agree to this?

The girls want money. It happens that they buy out several at once, then it is easier for them. Therefore, when they are redeemed, they always try to offer to take a girlfriend. And one can go if the client somehow endeared himself.

- Do you know stories when ransoms ended badly? Horror stories between girls go similar?

It ends badly, I'm sure. There was one situation in my memory, I don’t remember how the girl left there. She argued with the client, and he told her: "Why did you go with me? I thought you and I would smoke in the corridor?!" And so often happens. Either the girl sees that there is no way out, she has to do what he wants. In many successful clubs this is encouraged.

- Prostitution flourishes in successful clubs?

Girl dancing. What does a man do? Excited. This is absolutely normal. Naturally, what does a man want? Get satisfaction. Some adequate men are silent and understand that this is just a dance, they go and solve these issues in their own way. And there are men who begin to load and say: "Why are you turning me on and leaving me like that, decide it." Or there were situations when I offer private, and they answer me: "And why do I need this? I will get excited and then what? Will you continue?". Here it is the work of a stripper in clubs. You need to be able to dance, earn money and delicately evade claims. And others… No one knows what they are doing in private booths…

- But at least they can masturbate in the club?

I think about half do it. I haven't seen it in person, but I think so.

- And who comes up with unusual "official" services from the crazy menu?

Probably, the leadership with the girls and come up with. Standard - dance on the table in front of the client, this is plus 100 hryvnia. You can dance with a stripper on stage, you can buy a part of the girl's costume, you can take two for private, or you can wash with the dancer in a special shower on stage ... Anything that comes to mind can be included in the services.

- Can you refuse a client?

Yes, if a girl for some reason does not want to work, then she will not receive money. This is her own business and no one will force her. If she knows that this is some kind of crazy and will paw her, then no one will drag her.

- Who are the average customers of strip clubs?

Offended by their wives, men who lack love.

- Are they rich people who can freely afford a trip or men who save up for pleasure?

There are all sorts, but the majority are people with average earnings. They do not need and can afford to spend about two thousand hryvnia per night. But there is one more thing - the richer a person, the stingier he can be. There are people about whom you know that they don’t have a lot of money, but they give you everything without any problems, and the rich will rinse their brains out and then give nothing back.

- What do the dancers themselves think about the clients?

If it's a strip club, then it's simple. Gives money - a cool client, does not give - a goat. If about the customers for the event, then I just try to resolve issues in a businesslike way, without imposing and creating the illusion of friendship. I work with honest people. It may be that you are ordered, but on the same evening they call and cancel. Then you lose money. I don't work with these anymore. And as for the clients - those that I pull into the dance, they also come across different. There are adequate ones who sit down and enjoy it, but there are insane ones who want to loosen their hands or start twitching, dancing and not letting them work. So I just quietly say in my ear: "Calm down" and usually it works. Although there was one who grabbed me, put me on his shoulder to carry somewhere, but I gracefully got out of the situation without spoiling the number. By the way, I noticed one thing - I look for decent people during the performance, but I never look for a specially cute boy. Sometimes I even pull out grandfathers. I once thought about it after I accidentally pulled out a cute boy, it was so nice. I don't know why, I don't always do this...

- Have you seen the stars among the clients?

Sergey Bezrukov was once in the Gulf Stream at our show. He came with company. When I danced for him, someone joked that I was taking an exam at GITIS. In general, there were often stars. They behaved very dignified.

- What do you feel when you dance? Pleasure or do you use some kind of detachment technique?

Simultaneously. In general, those people who are successful in this area do not think that everyone is looking at him and appreciating him. This thing works - what you think is what people will see. You know how they say that a thief's hat is on fire. The same is true here. It happens that you are dancing, and some girl is standing below, looking angrily, taking apart the bones, you catch her look and start to worry, you lose all sensations. Therefore, you need to dance for yourself, as if you are just preparing food in the kitchen at home.

- Did you experience sexual arousal on stage?

I personally don't. I have a very aesthetic approach, no vulgarity and vulgarity can be seen in the movements. This is especially important for me - grace and intelligence in the dance. One girl and I arranged the first lesbian duet in Odessa. There were parties where we stripped naked and kissed on the bed. But I never felt sexually aroused. I felt emotional excitement, I felt very good, but this pleasure was aesthetic - that everything is harmonious and beautiful.

- Do you want to be as beautiful outside of work?

Unlike many girls, no. When I leave work, many simply do not recognize me, I look completely different. I don’t try to drag myself into clothes, put on a hairpin with a platform, I look absolutely normal. The main thing is to be comfortable - jeans, a jacket, flat shoes. I can't imagine how it is possible to be like that both on stage and in life.

- Are you still married?

We divorced. When I was on a flight, I fell in love with another boy, arrived and immediately divorced. That is, I was married for 5 months, although we met for three years. After that, I realized that I did not like being married. I prefer to live with a person in a civil marriage, so there is more freedom. If you want, you can leave, there will be no red tape or division of property. Now I have a loved one.

- How did your men feel about your occupation?

Absolutely normal.

- Aren't you jealous?

It was a little sometimes, but this is a matter of normal relations. If a man feels that there is sincerity and trust, he is loved, he is the only one who knows that I do not give reasons, then everything is fine. It's just work. In addition, I have never had a man who would be very rich and could fully provide for me. Perhaps, in this case, I would not have worked, but simply taught. Although I am horrified to imagine myself without a stage. Some part of me lives only there.

- And what is the first reaction of men when you say that you are dancing a striptease? Asked to dance private?

Yes, it usually does.

- Did you learn how to dress beautifully?

I danced before striptease for many years. Naturally, I understood how to take something beautiful off of myself. It wasn't a problem.

- What is your education? Have you ever had a "day" job?

I graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Narxoz. In my second year, I realized that I would no longer work in my specialty. Since I received my diploma, I have not taken it in my hands again. Then I tried to get a job in my specialty - as a manager, but I was not interested in it and, besides, I realized that it interfered with my dancing. So I stopped looking for a job. There were also thoughts imposed by society that dancing could not be a profession ... In addition, I did not graduate from the corresponding institution, and therefore did not consider myself a professional and could not feel confident. Only 10-13 years later I realized that dancing is my job and there will be no other. I don't want to feel like a beginner in another field, I want to be a professional dancer. There is nothing that I could not do on stage - I am not talking about perversions now, but about dancing and acting.

- How did you organize your show?

After the closure of Gulfstream, regular customers began to invite us to events. I did not think to continue to dance striptease, did not spin, but it went by itself. I was known as a dancer, PJ-ku, that I can work a strip. Then girls began to appear who could not do anything, I began to train them, give them work, share. I took responsibility, negotiated, sometimes gave costumes. Gradually, she began to take symbolic money for this, something about 50 hryvnias. She began to train girls, worked together. When the girl had experience, she went to solo numbers. I was offended, but I won’t sue a person if she wants to perform on her own or decided to leave the dance. You won't be intimidated by this. In general, there are three people in the city who have been working in striptease for a long time - Helen, Sheri and me. They also faced "scammers". I would like to teach two or three girls, adequate, cute, so that they do not throw me. And so the idea to make a ballet was born. I noticed that banquets do not take striptease, I lose these opportunities. And bald bands often perform at events, in unwashed suits, torn tights and pimply boys. We made three very beautiful costumes for 5 thousand dollars and are already working. At first we wanted to perform only at cool banquets, but now I realized that for now we will take on everything, and we will make costumes cheaper.

How are the numbers generally assigned? And why do stripteases often dance to ancient pop music?

Usually I hear the music and immediately see the idea of the performance. If there is no idea, then this number is bullshit. The idea does not always come immediately, you have to squeeze it out, but it must be done. It happened that I was driving and I heard a great song on the radio and I saw a number in front of my eyes instead of the road. There was one time that almost got into an accident. Since then, I have not listened to the radio while driving. And girls choose music, these are their tastes. But here the theme also plays a role, because the number "Little Red Riding Hood" cannot be danced to inappropriate music.

- How are things going with male striptease in Odessa?

Everything is fine. There are about nine good people. Some guys were ordinary fitness instructors, and then they staged a corporate party and it went so well that they began to do it.

- And what is more expensive: male or female strip?

Equally. It’s just that we don’t have men’s clubs yet, although there are women’s days.

- How much can you earn on a striptease?

Overnight, my maximum was $700, and I never counted in a month. In general, they usually consider it for one job, regardless of whether it is permanent employment in a club or once invited to a bachelor party before the wedding. By the way, I really like them.

- Why?

This is an easy job - come, work, leave, forget.

- Aren't you afraid to ride them alone?

And I don't think bad. Who is afraid, he attracts. I have one girl I know, she is always afraid of something, just a little, she immediately spreads panic and her constant problems.

- Do you often get booked for a bachelorette party?

It doesn't happen very often. But sometimes when we dance, we can choose for ourselves who to pull out - a boy or a girl.

- And who responds more appropriately?

It happens that at some banquet, the guy's friends ordered a striptease for him, but they forgot to warn his girl. I had one situation when a girl with claws attacked me. I dodged, she scratched me a little, but I continued to dance. I think that it is very important to finalize the performance, no matter what happens, but it happens that the girls get lost at once.

What other incidents happen?

Sometimes, she broke her heel, sometimes she forgot to remove the plaster from her back, such a huge one. But the most terrible incident is when the string from the tampon hangs. I once saw a partner, came up, whispered, covered her, she fixed the problem.

- Is there an injury in your work?

There was a moment in Amsterdame when I was dancing the can-can and I fell down. One dancer accidentally tripped me. Then I tore a ligament, severely clogged my thigh and knee, and since then I have had obvious problems with my joints.

But you didn't stop dancing...

I have tried many times to finish dancing because of knee problems. But I started having nightmares. I dreamed all the time that I was at work, I had to dance a number that I didn’t know or I didn’t have a suit. And then I start dancing - and the nightmares pass. For the past few years, I feel like I have to finish. I think, well, that's all for next year! Especially in the clubs it's smoky, I don't smoke, it's hard for me. But they continue to invite me, money is still needed and I love to dance.

- How old is the youngest and oldest striptease dancer?

The youngest is 17 years old, and the eldest ... It's hard to say, probably 33 - this is a dancer who has already given birth and has come back into shape. By the way, many dancers continue to dance after giving birth. Here is such a thing - at night on the stage, where the light music of a person with a good figure will look normal.

- Don't you think that the attitude towards striptease is better abroad, your career would go uphill?

Yes, there is a better attitude to many things and in general life is better. I had many opportunities, but somehow I will miss you a lot. I really like it here.

Striptease former gymnast and master of sports Anna Delos brought the most common desire to earn. However, unlike other girls, she did not leave this occupation either after a year or two, and has continued to dance for almost ten years. Today she has her own show on the pylon, with which she works not only in clubs, but also at private events. At 26, the ex-athlete does not even think about looking for herself in something else. With what contingent she has to communicate, how much money she can earn in one night at the club and how the stripper's personal life develops, Anna Delos told AiF.ru.

Will I shoot or not?

When I performed for the first time, until the last moment I thought: “Will I take off my bra or not?”. At that moment, I experienced wild adrenaline, but at the same time I perfectly understood that I had no right to let my employer down. Then I undressed only out of a sense of responsibility to the person who got me into the club. Of course, now all the experiences are long gone. I calmly go on stage, moreover, I enjoy what I do.

Striptease and family

For my relatives, I do dancing and acrobatics. They know that I have my own show and that you do not need to come to it. For competitions - please, for work - no. Still, in a strip club, I have to be as sexy as possible, my task is to interest a man, if I know that my family is sitting somewhere at the next table, I just can’t be liberated.

I discuss my work with my parents, I can complain about some guest or, on the contrary, tell how someone praised me. But the question of whether I perform topless or not, of course, is not raised. I don't see any point in this.

compliments every day

In most cases, the guests are friendly towards the girls. Every evening someone confesses their love to me and showers me with compliments. Of course, boors also come across, someone is in a bad mood, and someone decided to raise their self-esteem at the expense of girls who cannot answer. “Get out of here”, “don’t come near me” are the most harmless phrases that can be heard. But since I have been working in this area for many years, I have learned to abstract, it is impossible to offend me. If I see that a conflict is brewing, I just silently turn around and leave. It’s not worth answering an aggressively minded person, you can get it in the face.

Hard rules

From the outside, you might think that the club is such a wonderful place where everyone has fun, and the girls who dance striptease also relax and have a great time. In fact, any institution has a huge set of rules that every dancer should read and learn. Any violation will result in a fine or dismissal. For example, you can not be rude to a guest. Another taboo is intimacy with a client, although in some clubs in Moscow this is allowed, but where I work it is absolutely not. When all the dancers go out to the welcome parade, you must be sure to smile. You stand with a stone face - a fine. If you do not applaud after the end of the show - again a fine. I forgot to do a manicure - again a fine. Did not come to work - a big fine. Despite this, some girls are constantly skipping, by the end of the month they have accumulated such a debt that it is easier to go to another club.

Big and small money

I have a salary as I perform with a show program. But ordinary dancers do not. They receive interest from private dances, communication with the guest. Earnings completely depend on the girl herself, the more active you are, the more it is.

I must say right away that all the stories about how strippers are given apartments and cars remained somewhere in the 90s. I have not encountered such things. There is no question of any easy money in our sphere. Absolutely all guests count money. But Russian men are still the most generous. Foreigners against their background are tight-fisted and do not like to leave a tip, they will sit and wait until the last change.

There are good nights when many guests agree to go to a private dance with you, then for a few hours of work you can get more than 20 thousand rubles.

I have the right to perform at the club five times a week, but I am against working to the limit. If the season is high, you can see me on stage 4 times, when the season is low - 3. In addition, I can take more corporate parties, I can take less. If you load yourself in full, then you can really earn 500 thousand rubles a month. The standard income is about 300 thousand. However, I get this kind of money only because I have my own show. The earnings of an ordinary dancer are much more modest. If the girl is new, inexperienced, then 3000 rubles per night. To some, that kind of money may seem normal. But do not forget that you need to pay for a taxi from this amount, because the metro does not work at night, as well as makeup and hair - it's about 1500. You can't prepare yourself for going on stage - there are professional stylists for this purpose. If you don't want to get fined, use their services.

poor girl

There is a separate category of clients who like to read notations: “How did you get to such a life, why are you here, find yourself another job, etc.” I usually react to such things gently and with humor: “You liked my show, but I gave you pleasure, let this be my mission.” But sometimes, if a person is too intrusive, I can answer harshly: “What are you doing here? You came here to spend, and I earn.

Continuous expenses

Girls come to the club casting every day, it happens that even several people at once. But not all remain. Someone already on the first night understands that this is not their place: there are too many restrictions and requirements. You can't sit in the dressing room all night. Some are simply shy of men. They do not want to be the first to approach the guest, they expect that they will be approached, and this rarely happens. If you don’t earn money, you will leave very soon, because our profession involves huge expenses for yourself: hairdo, makeup, manicure, pedicure, fitness, beautician, stage costumes. This is a giant list of expenses. For example, my most expensive suit costs 150 thousand rubles. Individual work with a choreographer who puts on my numbers, and renting a hall - 5 thousand rubles per hour. Shoes (strips) - 8 thousand, if they are decorated with rhinestones, then all 15! And they last for a maximum of a month, since the load is very strong. In addition, you should have several pairs of such shoes for different looks.

It is no wonder that those who remain in this profession are trying to find a variety of ways to earn money. For example, I knew a girl who took hypnosis courses. Clients voluntarily gave her all the money they had with them. It is impossible to rob a man, there are cameras all around, for such things in good clubs they are fired, but here he gives you everything himself - you won’t find fault. Girls in this regard are very inventive - they attend seduction and NLP courses. It's a whole business.

Know when to stop

Men often treat dancers. This is allowed by the rules of the club. But not all girls have a sense of proportion, they do not understand that if you drink with guests every time, then this will not lead to anything good. Some people just fall asleep. It is important to remember that you came to the club not to have fun, but to earn money.

I don't drink at work, also because I just can't dance. Tricks on the pole should be done with a sober head, since you work at height, it is dangerous. I have repeatedly witnessed how inexperienced girls after alcohol simply fell to the floor while performing complex elements. A terrible sight. Besides, you spend the whole evening walking in high heels, talking to men, and they don't like drunken women.

Not 18 anymore

Youth does not give any privileges in our profession. But everyone stubbornly continues to think that young strippers are in higher demand. I am often asked: “Do you understand that at the age of 30 no one will need you?” This is complete nonsense! Firstly, the guest usually does not understand how old you are, after all, subdued lights and makeup do their job. The second point: when you are young, you do not understand how to interest a client, how to approach, start a conversation. These skills are developed over the years, so an experienced dancer will always have higher earnings.

Chest and lips are natural

Another stereotype that has nothing to do with reality is that all men love big breasts. No, they love natural breasts and do not allow girls with the fifth size, which clearly appeared on the stripper's body thanks to the efforts of the surgeon. The same attitude to pumped up lips, hair extensions and even eyelashes. Many girls now remove everything that they once enlarged and do not know how to do it without consequences.

no husband

I have never had an affair with guests, because I take a sober look at things: men come to a strip club to relax and unwind, and not to find a wife and future mother of their children.

When I first started doing striptease, I constantly heard from others that no decent man would marry a girl like me. But in fact, these words have nothing to do with reality. I was called to marry more than once, there is no end to the fans. Many have nothing against an affair with a stripper. But I myself am not yet ready for children and marriage.

Stripper and acrobat

I don't see anything offensive in the word stripper. Of course, when I meet people, I am in no hurry to tell them about what I do in the first minute. Not because I'm shy, but in order not to frighten a person. Usually I say that I work as a dancer in the show, if the reaction is adequate, then I reveal all the cards. Some tense up at the word pylon, of course, I present my work to them as an acrobatic show, in fact, it is.

Plans

Some girls are building another business in parallel, I still want to achieve heights in this business. My task is to show people how different striptease can be, so that they do not think that it is dirty, vulgar and disgusting. I already have my own show program, where not only striptease, but also acrobatics, gymnastics, and even tricks. I perform at birthdays, bachelor parties, corporate parties. The plans include a full-fledged show for 1.5 hours, which will run separately from the club program, perhaps even on a completely different stage. I expect that the audience will be not only men, but also couples. Conventionally, it is in the same line with Crazy Horse and Moulin Rouge. Although I wouldn't compare. Alas, there is such a stereotype that a striptease is when some girl takes off her bra, nothing interesting. And some strippers themselves believe that in this profession the main thing is to undress. In fact, modern men are no longer surprised by bare breasts. Now, in order to interest the viewer, you need to think through and work out each number to the smallest detail, and I do it with pleasure.

Striptease history (striptease)

Striptease (striptease) (from the English "strip" - "undress", "tease" - "tease"). This dance appeared in ancient times and was intended to please the gods.

Datura herb for courage

Initially, the naked dance had a sacred character. In any case, it was precisely this “divine” explanation that the priests gave to the mothers of young maidens when they took away their daughters to serve the cult of the gods.
Indian bayadere dancers danced in pagodas (special memorial structures, relic repositories). Officially, they were declared servants of the altars. To liberate the girls, the priests used head-stirring incense, with which the bayadères were choked. Their voluptuous dances are not difficult to imagine: monotonous sounds of percussion instruments, passionate rhythm and movements. Bayadere took care of their appearance and especially took care of their chest: so that it would not get fat and lose shape, the girls put on a special light wooden case of two halves, fastened on the back. Covered on the outside with a gold leaf with diamonds, it emphasized all the charms of a fluttering chest.

Almei: wisdom in dance

In Egypt, there was also a special class of women, followers of the cult of Osiris - at the same time singers, dancers, and musicians. They were called almei, from the Arabic almeh - a scientist. Despite the fact that their songs had an erotic content, and their dance steps had a pronounced sexual overtones, the Almei were welcome guests even at family holidays. “As soon as the dance began, the Almei threw off, along with the cloak, the modesty of their sex,” writes one researcher. The historian also notes the mobility of facial expressions, which depended on the role being played - the girls were good actresses. In the dance, performed to the tunes of the flute, their bodies stood out especially clearly, and silk dresses already in those days served as unmistakable ways to attract male gazes.

Biblical footprint of learned enchantresses

The Jews also had almei. There is a testimony of the Evangelist Mark about how the oriental dance of the Almea enchanted the sons of Israel: at the birthday party of Herod, where all the high society of Galilee was invited, the dancer Solomeya was present. After her speech, the admiring king declared that he would give her whatever she wanted. Solomeya demanded the head of John the Baptist, who exposed her mother's relationship with two relatives, and indeed received it.
The rampage of sensuality in Babylon gradually turned sacred pleasure into a public one. Quintus Curtius, in The History of Alexander the Great, speaks extremely disapprovingly of the Assyrian capital: remained completely naked. And it was not public women who behaved so loosely, but the most noble ladies and their daughters.

Everything was in Greece

Hetaerism reached its height of popularity during the Hellenistic era, in the 4th to 3rd centuries BC.
Getters, ancient courtesans, were considered the elite of society and influenced its cultural life. The famous and fatal hetaira of Greece, a favorite of sculptors, Phryne became the first woman to suffer legally for public exposure.
Once a year, at the festivities held in honor of Neptune and Venus, Phryne left her secluded dwelling, threw off her clothes on the steps of the temple, and, covering her nakedness with luxurious long black hair, walked to the sea to the enthusiastic cries of the crowd. After the ritual bath, she lay down on the sand and allowed everyone to admire herself. Smooth skin, pearls of water in the hair, elastic lines of the body - it is not difficult to imagine how such a picture acted on men. One of Phryne's vain admirers, to whom she refused a date, wrote a complaint to the city court. Phryne was accused of corrupting the morals of the townspeople, which carried a mandatory sentence of death. When the accuser was already finishing his speech, one of Phryne's ardent admirers, Hyperides, convinced of the helplessness of oratory, led the famous courtesan to the barrier and tore off her clothes. The astonished judges were speechless: the divine Aphrodite herself stood before them!
Hyperides, without wasting time, demanded an excuse for Phryne: in the name of beauty, harmony and perfection of forms, which were always highly valued by the Greeks. The arguments convinced the high court, and the charge was dropped.

Silk empress

A striking example of the fact that erotic dance was also widespread in the Roman Empire is Theodora, the Byzantine empress, wife of Justinian the Great. Before taking the throne, she was a circus performer and, according to the historian Procopius, "entertained the crowd with her nakedness and depraved gestures." The green-eyed beast, Theodora really appeared in the arena only in a silk scarf and regretted that she was not allowed to perform naked, as she did at rehearsals. The scandalous reputation of the acrobat did not prevent Theodora from becoming Justian's wife and actually taking the reins of government into her own hands.
Theodora contradicted public taste in everything: in ancient Rome, dark hair was considered a sign of decency and homeliness, so courtesans wore wigs of different colors.
It was the sophistication of Theodora in search of attractiveness that turned into an eternal fashion for mankind - for blondes. Preparing for the feasts and holidays of the imperial court, she gave her hair a striking blue tint and, in addition, sprinkled it with gold powder.

Student striptease

The birthplace of striptease in its modern form is, of course, France. But until the end of the 19th century, the maximum that men are allowed to see is a small area of bare skin, enclosed in the arms of a stocking and a garter. But in the summer of 1893, 111 years ago, during the traditional ball of students of art schools, two young ladies, heated by the atmosphere and champagne, jumped on the table and, to the sound of music, began to slowly undress until not a single exciting rag was left on them.
History has preserved their names: Manon Laville and Sarah Brown. The Paris police opened a criminal case against the participants of this ball, and some of them (primarily naughty young ladies) were sentenced to large fines. Such actions caused a wave of protests among French students, there were several fights with law enforcement officers, one of the defenders of freedom of undressing was killed ... Passions were serious, but the students prevailed: the taboo on striptease was lifted.
Striptease began to perform Mata Hari, composing a legend that she studied the mysterious oriental methods of exposure. Isadora Duncan was also not shy about dancing bare-chested. After the conquest of Europe and America, Isadora, beloved of Sergei Yesenin, fluttered like a butterfly to revolutionary Russia. At the beginning of the 20th century, she appeared on the Russian stage without stockings and in a transparent gauze dress. Before the public had time to recover from the shock and properly enjoy Isadora's naked legs, she was replaced by two completely naked students Duncan - one of those who are bolder and bolder. So, at the end of the first Russian revolution, just before the beginning of the Fifth Party Congress, Elena Rabenek and Olga Desmond danced naked and dancing.
It was impossible to get tickets for their subsequent performances. In the end, the city government, showing concern for the morals of the inhabitants, banned Olga Desmond's performances. As for Olga Desmond herself, she persistently defended her right to perform naked. “Let it be bold, bold, whatever you want to call my appearance on the stage, but this is required by art.”
Characteristically, in the pursuit of chastity, the tsarist police lost sight of the split of the Social Democratic Party into Bolsheviks and Mensheviks, which surprisingly coincided with the first erotic experiences on the national stage.
The Bolshevik revolution was also not without striptease. Lenin seriously considered organizing nudist beaches, and Kharkov remembers the crowds of naked people who staged demonstrations in the 1920s under the slogan “Down with shame!” Subsequently, as you know, the country covered up revolutionary nudity, and the replica "We don't have sex!" in the late eighties sounded almost like an incurable diagnosis. But the nineties came with their sexual freedom on the verge. A flood of information, including of an erotic nature, poured into Russia from the West. We learned that striptease is not a hidden form of prostitution, but an exciting creative activity.

Features of national striptease

Now striptease shows are included in the programs of almost any club party and are not forbidden, but rather boring. And yet, each country has its own peculiarities of its implementation.
In the United States and Canada, the "high" class of striptease bars has sunk into the past: now this dance is designed to brighten up eating the traditional American sausage. Such establishments are located in working-class districts, so the whole situation, with the exception of the obligatory silicone bust of a stripper, is natural here.
In Australia, an “incomplete” striptease of expensive variety shows is common: there girls will never part with chic underwear.
In Germany, there are so many erotic entertainments that such a phenomenon as anti-striptease has recently arisen: an elderly lady, to put it mildly, goes out in a light dance to the audience, and visitors, in order to avoid mental trauma, pay her to get dressed.
Thai striptease - cheap and physiological. The use of unexpected objects, which at first caused enthusiastic amazement of tourists, rather discourages than provokes desire. Now its popularity is akin to the success of various shows with crocodiles or sharks.
The most expensive prices for striptease are in Estonia. An evening in the company of a frivolous lady will cost $ 250 there.
Dancing without clothes in the French cabaret "Crazy Horse" has been elevated to the rank of art, which continues to delight visitors with unforgettable performances to this day. Regulars say that the striptease from the Parisian "mad horses" is very beautiful, elegant and talented.
France generally decided to revive the ancient traditions of striptease and make it more popular. So, the management of the new lingerie store "Galeries Lafayette" held an interesting action: a week after the opening of the supermarket, all customers were taught striptease techniques for free. Lea, the teacher, explained to the women how to take off their skirt correctly, so that at the final stage it would not get tangled in stilettos, and that the fasteners on the blouse should be unbuttoned from the bottom up. The lessons, according to reviews, were artistic, and not in any way not vulgar. Men were not allowed to attend. Source: JournalGeo-Focus

(most famous stripper)

Many years have passed since her death, but the secret of life has not yet been revealed. This woman possessed not only a stunning appearance, intelligence and artistic talent, but also the ability to find out state secrets from the men fascinated by her. Surrounded by a mysterious halo, Mata Hari continues to excite the hearts of millions of men even after death. Evidence of this is an emergency with the mummified head of a beautiful spy, all these years carefully kept in formalin among other exhibits of the Paris Museum of Anatomy.
Her real name is Margaret Gertrude Celle. Born in the Dutch province of Friesland, in the family of a hatter. Already at the age of 17, her parents sent the obstinate beauty under the care of a stern uncle, whom she, however, quickly got rid of by marrying a Scottish officer. Her husband was 20 years older than her. He took Margaret to the East Indies, where she learned the Malay language and mastered the art of sacred dance rites.

After the divorce, she moved to Paris and took on the Javanese name Mata Hari (“Eye of Dawn”) and began to perform exotic dances in front of the public. The Courier Français newspaper wrote: “even when she remains motionless, she bewitches the viewer, and even when she dances, her charms act magically.” During the dance, Mata Hari gradually took off her luxurious oriental attire, remaining only in a pearl necklace and sparkling bracelets. At that time, striptease was a real sensation, and soon all of Paris lay at the feet of a charming dancer. La Press newspaper: “Mata Hari affects you not only with the movements of her legs, arms, eyes, lips. Unconstrained by clothes, Mata Hari influences with the play of her body.” She conquered Paris: she performed in the mansions of the nobility - including Baron Rothschild, in the most luxurious salons, in the famous Olympia Theater. The newspapers called her dance "an Indian religious mystery."

She danced in Madrid, Monte Carlo, Berlin. Puccini himself sent flowers to her, and Massenet wrote: “I am happy when I watch her dance!”

Belly dance ( )

Belly dancing has a long and colorful history.

Belly dance is the oldest dance that originated in Egypt. Many of its basic movements stem from birth rituals, fertilization dances, and religious worship.

Through the centuries, the dance acquired new movements, many borrowed from the dances of the gypsies who traveled to many countries of the world. They brought various movements borrowed from the dances of different countries. In addition to other styles (dances of the West, dances of Greece, Turkey, North Africa, Persia (serpentine hands), India (head movements), other countries of the Middle East), traditional oriental dances also absorbed elements of Spanish dances.

Oriental dance has become dearly loved by different strata of society. It was performed by both the daughters of sheikhs and girls from poor families. The versatility of the culture of this dance fascinated.
However, belly dancing also experienced difficult times when its popularity was fading away. With the advent of Muslimism in Egypt, girls from wealthy families, who previously performed this dance for entertainment, stopped dancing it. Culture dictated a new fashion and the performance of belly dancing became indecent and unworthy. Thus, oriental dance moved to Europe. It seemed that belly dancing would mix with the dance traditions of other cultures and slowly disappear as an original phenomenon. In the nineteenth century, after the French conquest of Africa, the former bewitching art of belly dancing shone again. The choreographers were simply shocked by this ancient oriental dance (belly dance). The choreographers added several new elements to the belly dance, complicated some of the tricks, making the belly dance more professional. Since then, belly dance began its solemn procession around the world.

Belly dance is not only graceful and sensual, but also very plastic, showing all the grace and beauty of the female body.

Belly dance is an ethnic and cultural form of Eastern dance used in the Middle East for almost all holidays.

Belly dance is a beautiful and viable art form, a form of expression of feelings and emotions.

In the East, young girls were introduced to belly dancing from an early age, training their abdominal muscles in preparation for childbirth, as Arab women knew that trained abdominal muscles were the best pain prevention mechanism. What could be more beautiful than to create a dance form for this. During this period, women danced with other women in sacred ceremonies and prepared for childbirth. Another interpretation is that the dance originated in the worship of the goddess, expressing one's emotions through ritual movements.

The dance evolved from entertainment to an art form where the movements used in the dance inspired such greats of modern dance as Isadora Duncan, Ruth St. Denis and Martha Graham. Belly dance has gained fantastic popularity, it demonstrates sensuality, grace, the power of emotions, mastery of the whole body, the alluring beauty of a woman who is in the ecstasy of dance.

The new dance was a mixture of styles and costume details, adapted for an individual female performance. People often mean "women's solo dance" when they say "Raks Sharqi", distinguishing it from folklore dances, usually group dances. A dance with a lot of hip movement is now associated with Baladi, and the center of movement moves up to the torso.

In the West, Raks Sharqi becomes known as "belly dance". This is the wrong name. Although Middle Eastern dance must be quite ancient, there is no documented evidence for the myth that modern bellydance bears any significant resemblance to the ancient dance. Numerous other myths arose among the cultural influences that have shaped modern bellydance. These myths have led to different dance styles and to the use of accessories such as snakes and swords, the use of which in dance has no roots in Middle Eastern female dance.

R&B (Rhythm and Blues)

What is R&B? Rhythm and Blues (RnB).
A little about the RnB culture in general. In the early 50s, rock and roll literally broke into popular music in the United States. First began a craze for him in America, and then followed by its further distribution, first in Europe, and then throughout the world. Such an unexpected phenomenon was caused by a number of social and economic preconditions. But I wanted to emphasize first of all that the musical foundation of rock and roll is Negro R'n'B | RnB - was already quite formed by the beginning of the 50s as an independent phenomenon. White performers had only to master it, and entrepreneurs - to sell it to a white audience.

By the way, the term “Rhythm and Blues” itself appeared only in June 1949 in the Billboard magazine, when there was a clear need to designate a long-formed new phenomenon.

Is it possible to say unequivocally that rock and roll is black R'n'B | RnB (Rhythm and Blues), but for a white audience and performed by white artists? No, such a wording would be a clear simplification. Firstly, white performers brought their aesthetics, their culture to rock and roll, changing the sound itself, and the image of R'n'B | R&B. Secondly, many black stars of R'n'B | RnB without alienating the US colored audience. Moreover, rock 'n' roll became a symbol, if not part of the very mechanism for breaking down racial barriers in the post-war United States.

By the early 50s R'n'B | RnB was already quite developed, but was still kind of in the shadows, being a typical subculture even within the isolated black culture of the United States.

The history of R'n'B dance itself is rather short.

R'n'B dance | RnB began to take shape back in the late 30s, as a result of the urbanization of the life of "rural" American blacks and their concentration in ghettos - special areas of large industrial cities, where representatives of various ethnic groups live separately: blacks, mulattoes, mestizos, Puerto Ricans, Jews, Italians, Chinese.

One of the factors in the birth of R'n'B dance | RnB in the Negro ghettos was served by the migration of country blues performers (village blues) from the South to the North of the United States, from the countryside to big cities, from farms and plantations to factories and factories.

R'n'B dance | RnB migrates from rural picnics, where it was most often played, to noisy bars, clubs and dance halls. For example, such famous bluesmen as T-Bone Walker from Texas and BB King from Memphis moved to Los Angeles; in New York, Louis Jorden from Arkansas and Joe Turner from Kansas City; from the Mississippi Delta to Chicago - Muddy Waters, Elmore James and Howlin' Wolf.

To date, R'n'B | RnB is one of the most popular club dances in the world.

club latina(Club latina)

Club Latin traditionally includes the so-called "Antillean dances": merengue (merengue, merengue), salsa (salsa), mambo (mambo, mamba)

Meringue /merengue/merengue

Meringue came to us from the Dominican Republic (Caribbean), and its mood reflects the cheerful atmosphere of an eternal tropical holiday. The movements of the meringue are simple, and the music is rhythmic and pleasant not only for those who dance to it, but also for those who simply listen to it.

Meringue does not require space, you can dance it on any patch of free space. The partner leads his partner carefully, unobtrusively, helping her to make slow turns, so slow that one turn takes 4-8 steps. It is these turns, plus perky music, that form the basis of the meringue.

salsa / salsa

In 1928, Cuban Ignacio Pinheiro uttered the words "Echale salsita!" ("Let's add a spark!") and made them the title of his new song. Soon this phrase was simply transformed into "salsa", and the dance of the same name became insanely popular.

Until the early 1970s, the word "salsa" referred to a mixture of a wide variety of Latin American styles and rhythms, including guaracha, cha-cha-cha, pachanga, rumba, mamba and many more. The simple, catchy word has become a trademark of Latin American dance music. Later, after the music came the dance.

Salsa contains elements of various dances and styles of the Caribbean (Cuba, Puerto Rico, Haiti, Dominican Republic) and neighboring countries of Central and South America (Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia). Some salsa moves are taken from traditional dances, others are specific.

The character of salsa comes through in its basic step. It arises due to the immobility of the upper body and the shift of emphasis to the legs and waist. The movement of the legs is extremely important, as they set the movement of the hips characteristic of salsa.

Mambo / mambo / Mamba

Mambo appeared in the 1940s in Cuba. The fathers of this dance were Odilio Urfe and Arsenio Rodriguez. Unlike salsa, meringue and lambada, mambo does not have clearly defined folklore roots, as it was created artificially.

Interestingly, the name "mambo" is attributed to the famous voodoo sorcerers, who have the ability to immerse a person in a hypnotic trance. It was believed that they were able to put some of their magic into the mambo. The dance was condemned by the Catholic Church or banned by the authorities in a number of Latin American countries, which only added to its popularity.

By the early 1950s, mambo's fame had reached the United States. The dance was introduced to the Hollywood public by the famous Perez Prado Orchestra and immediately became extremely popular. Thanks to such hits as "Mambo No. 5", "Mambo No. 8", "Mambo Jambo" and "Guaglione", mambo became the dance that is so well known and loved all over the world.

flamenco(flamenco)

Flamenco was born in southern Spain in Andalusia. Flamenco comes in three forms - Song, Dance and Guitar.

There is no single clear opinion regarding its origin, due to the fact that the roots of flamenco go deep into history, and there is no documentary information that would dispel some doubts. Apparently, the art of flamenco originates in folk songs and dances that existed in Andalusia in very ancient times. The flamenco style itself is based on the traditional rhythms of very ancient eras. However, the various civilizations, races and cultures that were present in Andalusia have contributed and to some extent determined the rhythm and harmony of modern flamenco.

The first written mention of flamenco is found in Moroccan Letters (Cadalso 1774). In them, the author attributes the authorship of flamenco to the gypsies. This is true to some extent. The non-European rhythms that flamenco contains are remarkably similar to the complex Asian rhythms that originate in India, and it is no coincidence that gypsies originate from India. In addition, the gypsies were the main ones who supported and carried flamenco through the years, selflessly presenting it.

A very strong influence on flamenco goes deep into history, in the distant times of Muslim Spain, coming from the so-called "Moors", various ethnic groups from North Africa, who settled primarily in Andalusia in the Middle Ages. This influence can be clearly seen in the harmony of sounds. Flamenco songs keep a clear parallel with other North African musical performances, such as Moroccan music. The guitar remembers not only North African musical performances, but even includes Central African ones. The female dance, primarily in the movements of the hips and arms, is similar to some North African dances. All these influences, which are so obvious that they cannot be dismissed, are not surprising, knowing that Andalusia has been influenced by this culture for so many centuries.

In addition, the coexistence of so many races in the lands of Andalusia may have found a more ancient reflection in the gay folklore rhythms of the Jews, in their ancient musical liturgies. Unfortunately, now it is difficult to say whether this is a coincidence or a reality.

In any case, how pure flamenco is considered today is how mixed it is at the same time. Flamenco contains sui generis elements that are not inherent in any other folklore, and at the same time, the influence of other peoples is quite rich.

When examining the evolution of flamenco as we know flamenco today, we can start from comparatively recent times, between 1765 and 1860. During this period we meet three important places: Cadiz (Jerez de la Frontera) and Triana quarter in Seville (Sevilla). Since this era, flamenco dance has taken its place among the Spanish dances that develop in schools, flamenco is danced in courtyards, squares and private salons during the holidays.

Regarding the guitar, at the beginning it was not customary to accompany the singing. Flamenco singing was not accompanied by music, as they say - without embellishment. They tapped with their hands or clapped their hands. Some composers, like Julian Arcas, are beginning to compose music for flamenco. Since then, a new era has begun.

Between 1860 and 1910 the development of flamenco enters a new era, which is called the "golden age of flamenco". At this time, song cafes flourish, in which they sing, developing all facets of flamenco - instrumental, vocal and dance, reaching what we now see as the classic "jondo" (a kind of flamenco). The dance takes on an unparalleled luxury, and becomes most attractive to the public in song cafes, which gives a strong impetus to the guitar as a fundamental and indispensable complement to vocal and flamenco dance.

Between 1910 and 1955, the singing is marked by what is commonly called the period of flamenco opera, which is dominated by light singing and the singing of "ida y vuelta" (this is Latin American-influenced singing brought in by Latin American immigrant singers). Many people did not like this new way of development of flamenco, and in 1922 the intelligentsia represented by Falla and other artists organized the Flamenco Competition in Granada in order to find new ways to develop real jondo singing.

Beginning in 1915, a cycle of theatrical dance of an exceptionally high standard was born, bringing Spanish dance and flamenco to all stages of the world.

The revival of flamenco begins in 1955. His main figure is Antonio Mairena with his austerity, desire for research and popularization of the orthodoxy of singing.

The dance at this time develops into tablaos (tablaos) - these are the heirs of the previous song cafes. This period is characterized by real personalities in flamenco dance, who alternated their performances not only in tablaos, but also in theaters, festivals and other stages. Guitarists, accompanying the singing and dancing of flamenco, are acquiring an increasingly significant role.

Currently, the guitarist is not only an accompanist, but also a soloist. Paco de Lucia marks the beginning of a new exciting phase of flamenco, bringing about a real stylistic revolution in the game. Along with him, many other real virtuosos of this instrument should be noted, such as Manolo Sanlucar.

Flamenco continues to evolve. While modern flamenco music is marked by some mixing with other movements like jazz, salsa, bossa nova, ethnic dances of other different groups, we can today be present in Andalusia for an authentic pure and classic flamenco performance, where a Japanese woman dances or an Italian plays the guitar, in front of numerous connoisseurs.

Flamenco is a demanding music, but its rise is pushing it into a new era where, with modern media, many can witness the brilliance, power and uniqueness of flamenco. But real flamenco will always be felt best on a warm night in a small circle of friends where there is a guitar, a voice, and a dancing body. This is the real Flamenco Festival.

Jazz(djaz)

The creators of jazz dance were Africans and African Americans. The principles of jazz dance were laid outside the musical direction of jazz and generally have nothing to do with it, therefore it is necessary to separate jazz as a musical direction and as a dance technique. Traditional African musical instruments, as a rule, are percussion: drums tuned to different pitches, a xylophone several meters in size, rattles and rattles. The howl of the saxophone is much closer to the traditional songs of France than Africa.

A black man, according to the famous traveler Geoffrey Howard, is one who conveys his emotions and moods through dance. Birth or death, wedding or funeral - the black man is dancing. Without dancing, he is not able to live even a week. In this case, dance means rhythm. They say about a good dancer in Africa: "He has good ears." Of course, quite certain steps are often superimposed on the rhythm, but the entire crowd entering the trance, and even more so - the soloist, constantly improvise.

Almost every village in Black Africa contains a group of professional dancers, with a repertoire that includes the unique dance of the area, costumes, etc. It is probably connected with this that when, in the nineteenth century, Europe began to take an interest in African culture, romanticizing and poeticizing it, Africa was able to meet the demand. And the descendants of black slaves imported to America became the distributors of African rhythms in their new homeland. They, in turn, mastered European musical instruments and harmonies.

The basic principles of jazz dance are similar to the principles of jazz in music. This, perhaps, was the reason for the common name. So, the basic principles are: improvisation, polyrhythm, polycentry (the last two are akin to musical polyphony). Less important principles of jazz dance, partly derived from the first three: isolation, contraction-release, collapse (reset), impulse, wave.

We have already spoken about improvisation, it follows from the very nature of African dance. Polyrhythm means that different parts of the body move in different rhythms. Polycentria provides for the occurrence of movement in various parts of the body. Movement can come from the head, shoulder, knee, very often through impulse. Polycentric certainly requires mastering the technique of isolated movement for each part of the body.

The contraction-release is not so much the principles of jazz as a characteristic pair of movements that are essentially opposite to each other. Contraction is a distortion, for example, of a straight line of the spine in one or another of its departments. Contraction is not contraction (muscle clamp disrupts the flow of energy and is therefore repugnant to any dance technique, although, of course, it can be used as an expressive stage tool), but, on the contrary, lengthening.

Agree: a curved line is always longer than a straight line. Release is the opposite of contraction, liberation from curvature and even more elongation. Jazz is very diverse. In the literature they call musical jazz - a lightweight direction that allows the dancer to sing along with the dance, ballet jazz, Broadway jazz ...

Well-known jazz dancers (for example, Matt Matox in France, Gus Jordan and Luigi in the USA), who organized their own schools of jazz dance, often became the founders of a new direction. They created certain approaches to teaching dance, developed sets of movements and their combinations, which give a peculiar flavor to the performances of each jazz school. And the terms “Mutt Matox technique”, “Luigi jazz”, “Simons jazz” appeared.

Jazz absorbed the exercise of classical dance (in jazz, parallel positions of the legs coexist with eversion, and the arms lose their roundness inherent in the classics and take on the appearance of one or more straight lines), movements and techniques of modern dance, folk dance. Here we come to ethno-jazz with its most famous varieties of afro-jazz and latin-jazz, a style that, on the next turn of the spiral, returns to its roots and invites a new interpretation of reckless dances from Black Africa, incendiary samba and viscous-dreamy rumba.
