How the closed rotational camp Sabetta lives in the far north. Port beyond the Arctic Circle Sabetta Financial difficulties in the way of construction and not only

the lot of romantics and extreme people, today it becomes an ordinary sea road. A year later, a new heart of the Northern Sea Route will appear in the north of Siberia - the port of Sabetta. A huge complex that will provide work for the nuclear fleet, researchers and traders. New Mangazeya Siberia

The construction of the new port of Sabetta began last summer. The new port in the future should become the largest Arctic sea gates of Russia. The new port in the northeast of the Yamal Peninsula will become a key element of the transport infrastructure of the Yamal LNG project, which provides for the construction of a natural gas liquefaction (LNG) plant at the resource base of the company's Yuzhno-Tambeyskoye field. The project is included in the comprehensive plan approved by the Russian government for the development of LNG production in Yamal. The construction of the port of Sabetta will create the foundation for the development of the Yamal and Ob Bay fields, as well as provide year-round navigation along the Northern Sea Route and will contribute to the development of the Russian icebreaking fleet, the report emphasizes.

Construction will be carried out in two stages. At the first of them, berths should be built to receive large-sized technological modules of the LNG plant and building materials. In July 2014, the port should receive the first modules. At the second stage, it is planned to build berths for the shipment of LNG and gas condensate.

In fact, this is the largest offshore construction modern Russia worth about 600 billion rubles.

In December 2011 By the decree of the Russian government, it was ordered to allocate in 2012-2016 for the construction of the port of Sabetta. federal funds in the amount of 47.2 billion rubles, as well as 25.9 billion rubles. extrabudgetary funds. Earlier, NOVATEK's financial director Mark Jetway reported that it was planned to raise $7-8 billion in Yamal LNG with a total investment in the project of $18-20 billion.

Of course, we are most interested in how this will affect the future of Siberia and its inhabitants. Observers assure that this will be a new Mangazeya (a city that at one time became the center of fur trades, about which the blog "Discover Siberia!" will tell in more detail).

Here, for example, is what Vladimir Ruksha from Murmansk writes:

"The start of operation of the Sabetta port will give us, the sailors of the nuclear icebreaker fleet, permanent long-term work. At the same time, for the first time, these will be long-term contracts for 15-25 years. The Yamal LNG project at the first stage will generate 5-6 million tons of cargo in year-round navigation At the third stage, the deep-water port of Sabetta will generate up to 16 million tons per year.Taking into account that this cargo flow is planned to be sold in a sufficiently large volume to the Pacific Ocean markets, this means that in winter Rosatomflot's nuclear icebreakers will provide safe escort for ships with cargo hydrocarbons through the Kara Sea, most likely in a European direction, and in the summer-autumn period, these same cargoes will go in transit along the Northern Sea Route, also accompanied by nuclear-powered ships of Rosatomflot.

The port of Sabetta is the second mangazeya for the Yamal land. I am sure that the start of construction of a deep-water Arctic port and the start of financing the construction of a new nuclear icebreaker by Rosatomflot are links in one chain, stages of one huge project to develop the most important transcontinental transport route - the Northern Sea Route."

And here is another evidence from the construction site. Most recently, Alexander Mitev, Master of the 2nd year of study at the Department of Ecology and Nature Management, IEUiP, Siberian Federal University, went there. He, as is usual for young romantics, even compares this construction site with the second BAM, and is ready to return there even now to create a mega-project:

"Maybe for someone else there is a question - why build a huge port in the Arctic? - but the answer lies on the surface. It just so happened that Russia's natural resources, primarily gas and oil, are located in the north of the country, far from those objects where they are really needed How to deliver them to the consumer?

So in this regard, I was lucky - there has not been such a large project in Russia, probably since the construction of the Baikal-Amur Mainline. And so, as part of a group of environmental specialists, I ended up on the Yamal Peninsula, where it was necessary to conduct radiation and environmental studies.

I had never been to the tundra before, but it turned out to be about the same as I imagined it: cold, wind, snow, polar night and northern lights. In general, it turned out to be quite difficult to work in the conditions of the Far North without habit, especially when you are 6-8 hours outdoors. Nevertheless, the harsh, lifeless beauty of this region does not leave indifferent anyone who has been here."

In July 2012, construction began on the new Arctic port of Sabetta on Yamal. The seaport of Sabetta is a key infrastructure facility of the Yamal LNG project (Novatek, Total), which includes the creation of capacities for the production, storage and shipment of liquefied natural gas based on the resource base of the South Tambeyskoye field. According to the Governor of the YNAO Dmitry Kobylkin, it is necessary to build a road to the seaport of Sabetta so that it turns from a monoport into a multifunctional hub of the Northern Sea Route, which can be used to export liquefied gas from Yamal, Siberian grain, Ural metal, Kuzbass coal, oil products from Tatarstan and Bashkortostan .

Construction of seaport facilities in the area of the village. Sabetta

Start of work - 2012, completion of work - 2017

The Arctic port of Sabetta is being built near the village of the same name on the western shore of the Gulf of Ob in the Yamal district of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Tyumen region. The work is being carried out as part of the Yamal LNG project, which provides for the launch of a natural gas liquefaction plant based on the Yuzhno-Tambeyskoye field. The new port on Yamal will ensure year-round navigation of gas carriers and their passage along the Northern Sea Route.

Scope of work

As part of the construction of seaport facilities in the area of the village of Sabetta, the following are being built:

approach channel 6 km long, 495 m wide, bottom mark minus 15.1 m;
sea channel 49 km long, 295 m wide, bottom mark minus 15.1 m;
port water area with bottom mark minus 15.2 m.
Navigation equipment will be installed in the port and coastal infrastructure facilities will be built:

control station,
hydrometeorological observation post,
administrative, technical and storage buildings.
The total volume of dredging works is about 70 million cubic meters. m.
Sequence of work

The preparatory phase (2012-2013) has been successfully completed.
A technological channel with a length of 3.9 km, a width of 240 m, a bottom mark of minus 12.4 m and the water area of auxiliary berths has been created. This made it possible to start delivering equipment and materials to the port construction site.

Main stage (2014-2017).
Dredging works for the construction of the main hydrotechnical facilities of the seaport of Sabetta - the approach and sea channels, as well as the port water area. Dredging is planned to be carried out in two phases during the four summer navigation periods.

Work on the construction of coastal infrastructure facilities is carried out all year round.

Construction conditions

The construction of the port is carried out in difficult geological, climatic and hydrological conditions beyond the Arctic Circle. The uniqueness of the project lies in the fact that the construction is being carried out from scratch, there is no transport infrastructure on the coast, and the navigation period, which allows dredging and delivering heavy cargo by water, is very short and amounts to 70 days (August - October).

The general contractor for the construction of seaport facilities in the area of the Sabetta settlement is USK MOST JSC, determined by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation. The construction customer is FSUE “Rosmorport”. Design organization - JSC "LENMORNIIPROEKT". Subcontractors in 2012-2013 - the Belgian company "Jan De Nul n.v.", specializing in the construction and maintenance of marine infrastructure, LLC "Fertoing", which provides engineering support for the project, the international environmental foundation "Clean Seas", which carried out environmental monitoring of dredging.

So far, you can get to Sabetta only by air (I already showed you the new airport) or along the Northern Sea Route, this became possible thanks to the construction of a new Arctic port of the same name here. Its construction began in 2012, everything will be fully built in 2017. That's what we'll be talking about today.

On July 20, 2012, the laying ceremony of the port of Sabetta took place. order federal agency of Sea and River Transport of the Russian Federation dated July 25, 2014 No. KS-286-r, the seaport of Sabetta is included in the register of seaports Russian Federation.

2. Administrative buildings of the port.

The port is located 5 kilometers northeast of the village of the same name. The village of Sabetta itself is located on the eastern coast of the Yamal Peninsula near the Ob Bay of the Kara Sea. The port has been functioning for 3 years, it works year-round. In 2015, more than 3 million tons of construction materials have already passed through it, and in total over 6 million tons during its operation.

The Sabetta seaport is being built primarily to ensure the transshipment of hydrocarbons from the South Tambey gas condensate field and for the further transportation of natural gas and gas condensate by sea to the countries of the Asia-Pacific region and the Atlantic. The cargo will be transported by Arc7 class tankers. And without it, the construction of the Yamal LNG liquefaction plant it would just not be realistic.

The construction of the port is being implemented on the principles of public-private partnership. The federal property (construction customer FSUE “Rosmorport”) will include ice protection structures, operational water area, approach channels, vessel traffic control and navigation support systems, marine service buildings. Yamal LNG facilities include technological berths for transshipment of liquefied natural gas and gas condensate, ro-ro cargo berths, construction cargo berths, port fleet berths, storage facilities, administrative and economic zone, engineering networks and communications.

The port is being built in two stages - preparatory and main. The preparatory phase includes the construction of a cargo port to receive construction cargo and process modules of the LNG plant. The main stage of construction includes technological berths for the shipment of LNG and gas condensate.

7. We do not need the Turkish coast, if we have the Kara Sea!

12. Liquefied gas storage tanks

The project itself is certainly unique. First of all, because it is being built from scratch, since there was practically no transport infrastructure here.

The port infrastructure will consist of: an approach channel 6 km long, 495 m wide, 15.1 m deep, a sea channel 49 km long, 295 m wide, 15.1 m deep. navigation equipment will be installed and coastal infrastructure facilities will be built: a control and correction station, a hydrometeorological observation post, administrative, technical and storage buildings.

In 2012-2013, a technological channel with a length of 3.9 km, a width of 240 m, a depth of 12.4 m and water areas of auxiliary berths was created, which made it possible to start delivering equipment and materials to the port construction site. The construction of the bases of technological berths for shipment is underway. They will be delivered here in a modular design, assembled and brought to perfection in 6 months, and by the launch of the first line of the plant, scheduled for 2017, everything will already be in full operation.

The state has plans - to bring to the port railway, pull somewhere 700 km. If this becomes a reality. Our port will turn into an important strategic hub for the entire Northern Sea Route, and for the Arctic as a whole. And through it, not only liquefied gas will be exported, but also grain from Siberia, metals from the Urals or coal from Kuzbass.

Many thanks to the entire press service of the company OAO NOVATEK for organizing my visit.

An LNG plant with a capacity of 16.5 million tons per year is being built directly at the Yuzhno-Tambeyskoye field on the coast of the Gulf of Ob. The construction uses a modular installation principle, which significantly reduces construction costs in the Arctic and optimizes the project schedule. The production complex will include three gas liquefaction process lines with a capacity of 5.5 million tons per year each. The first phase is planned to be launched in 2017.

The field development project provides for the drilling of 208 directional production wells with a horizontal ending (with a horizontal section length of at least 500 m) from 19 well pads. The Arktika drilling rigs were designed and manufactured specifically for the project. The rigs are designed to operate in the difficult natural and climatic conditions of Yamal, they are completely protected from the winds, which ensures qualitatively different working conditions for personnel and continuity of drilling, regardless of weather conditions.

LNG plant On September 21, 2015, the first module for the construction of the Yamal LNG liquefaction plant arrived at the port of Sabetta. A day later, two more arrived at the site. Their delivery by sea, unloading and installation is an engineering miracle. In total, almost 500 modules with a total weight of 560,000 tons will be required for the construction of the plant and auxiliary production facilities. The plant's modular design makes it possible to reduce the cost and shorten its construction time.

The module of the main pipe rack weighing 1455 tons and with dimensions of 33×24×34 m was delivered to Sabetta by a specialized vessel. She left the Chinese shipyard PJOE (Penglai) on July 30 and moved to Sabetta through the Suez Canal. The transition took 55 days. Within one day, the ship was unloaded and the module was transported to the LNG plant site.

The ship with two Siemens modules weighing 2194 tons with dimensions of 89 × 35.2 × 15 m and 715 tons with dimensions of 37 × 16 × 12 m left the Indonesian port of Batam on August 19 and arrived in Sabetta on September 23 through the Bering Strait. This was the first transportation of modules for Yamal LNG along the eastern route of the Northern Sea Route, which took about 35 days.

The first module of the plant was delivered to the site in September 2015, at the same time the delivery of other equipment began long term manufacturing. In total, by the end of 2015, 7 plant modules, a cryogenic heat exchanger (a key element of natural gas liquefaction technology) and a complete set of compressor equipment for the first and second stages of the plant, boil-off gas compressors, a reserve heater for the plant, 46 sets of metal structures for pipe racks, 6 sets of pipe assemblies, turbines for power plants and other equipment. The unloading of large-sized equipment in the port of Sabetta and its transportation to the installation site were successfully worked out.

Port The operation of cargo berths in the port of Sabetta was started, which made it possible to open winter navigation in October 2013 and ensure year-round delivery of construction cargo. In 2015, dredging was carried out in the port water area, the approach and sea channels, the total volume of reclaimed soil amounted to more than 16 million cubic meters. m. The year-round port of Sabetta received more than 3 million tons of cargo (50% more than in 2014), delivered by 190 sea vessels and 317 river barges. To protect the port water area, the construction of a southeastern ice protection structure more than 2 km long was underway, on which an unloading rack for LNG and stable gas condensate was being installed.

The agreement on the construction of the Arkhangelsk deep-water port was concluded in October 2016 in Beijing by the management of the Arkhangelsk Arctic Transport and Industrial Hub JSC.

February-January 2015-2016

The project for the construction of a new deep-water port of Arkhangelsk is closely connected with the project for the construction of the railway line "Belkomur" (White Sea - Komi - Ural) with the message Arkhangelsk - Syktyvkar - Perm (Solikamsk). This will speed up the logistics of cargoes in the Urals and Siberia by reducing the railroad delivery distance to 800 kilometers.

February 2017

The seaports of Arkhangelsk and Murmansk have become logistics centers where goods are delivered by road and rail transport, then by sea they go to the port of Sabetta. For example, in 2015, 117 loaded ships set off for the coast of the Kara Sea from Arkhangelsk.

January 2016

"Road to Sabetta" 1300 nautical miles - the length of the route from Arkhangelsk to Sabetta. Every five days, a ship departs from Arkhangelsk with a cargo intended for the construction of a plant as part of the Yamal LNG project.

The Murmansk Transport Branch of Norilsk Nickel (MTF) summed up the results of production activities in 2016. Last year, the company's dry cargo fleet transported 1.262 million tons of cargo (in 2015 - 1.174 million tons) along the Northern Sea Route.

69 flights were operated from Dudinka (versus 63 in 2015), including 11 direct flights to European ports. 67 flights were made to Dudinka and 0.437 million tons were transported.

According to the Association of Commercial Sea Ports of the Russian Federation, the cargo turnover of the ports of the Arctic Basin, in January-May 2016, amounted to 17.53 million tons, which exceeds the figure for the same period last year by 23.4%.

Russia plans to transport up to 40 million tons of cargo along the Northern Sea Route by 2022.

Port of Sabetta- http://zavodfoto.livejournal.com/4838728.html
Yamal LNG- http://zavodfoto.livejournal.com/4827701.html

The name Sabetta was given by geologists of the Tambey NGRE, established in 1980, after its relocation to the village from the city of Labytnangi.

The name of the village is derived from the name of the river Sabetta-yakha.

There are also several other versions of the origin of the name:

On behalf of the Sabe family, a local family of Samoyeds (Nenets) who lived in the area;

From the word "sabetta" - the name of the female headdress in the Nenets language.

According to the 2002 census, the eponymous village (village) of Sabetta, abolished in 2006, had 19 inhabitants, including Russians - 12, Komi - 5, others - 2. Since 2011, the construction of the infrastructure of the shift camp Sabetta, designed for 3500 inhabitants.

More than 22,000 people now work in Sabetta. They are building a port and a gas liquefaction plant on the coast of the Gulf of Ob as part of the Yamal LNG project.

Today the port actually already works in a regular mode. Over the past year, about 1,200 ships of various classes and about 3 million tons of cargo were received and serviced. ( M.Sokolov)

The Yamal LNG project provides for the construction of a plant for the production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) with a capacity of 16.5 million tons per year on the resource base of the Yuzhno-Tambeyskoye field. The proven and probable gas reserves of the field amount to 907 billion cubic meters. The first LNG production line under the project is to be launched in 2017.

The implementation of the project involves the creation of a transport infrastructure, including a seaport and an airport near the village of Sabetta, as well as a transshipment base in the Belgian Zeebrugge to deliver gas to the countries of the Asia-Pacific region during periods when there is no transit navigation along the Northern Sea Route.

This region is the richest place in terms of its reserves, it is possible to produce more than 70 million tons here. Here it is possible to create a hub with a share in the world market of more than 15 percent for LNG. The created infrastructure will help to ensure this in the shortest possible time.
