Thrush or candidiasis occurs with increased reproduction of a yeast-like fungus of the genus Candida. Traditional healers recommend treating thrush with soda. This method, combined with traditional methods, helps to quickly cope with a fungal infection. Soda therapy can be used to eliminate infection not only in adults, but also in children. Causes of development, symptoms of candidiasis

Thrush is caused by the yeast-like fungus Candida. Generalized candidiasis most often has a chronic course. The infection can affect any organs. This form of the disease appears when the immune system is weakened, as well as when allergic to yeast-like fungi.

Chronic thrush is characterized by alternating periods of remission and exacerbations. Relapse can provoke trauma to the mucous membrane, menstruation, drinking alcohol, sour or spicy foods.

In women, thrush is manifested by itching, burning, swelling and redness of the genital organs, abundant curdled yellow-white discharge that has a sour smell. During urination or sexual intercourse, the burning sensation intensifies, pain is observed.

Candidiasis in men is accompanied by soreness or burning during urination and sexual intercourse, redness, burning and itching of the head and foreskin of the penis, the appearance of a characteristic whitish coating. Thrush is usually passed on to children from the mother. This happens in about 72% of cases. The infection affects the oral cavity of the child, manifested by the formation of a white curd plaque.

Cutaneous candidiasis usually affects the folded areas of the skin - the armpits, neck, elbows and knees, as well as fingers and toes. The main symptoms of cutaneous candidiasis:

• weeping formations with white discharge;
• the spread of the rash throughout the body.

The use of sodium bicarbonate for candidiasis

Baking soda or sodium bicarbonate is an effective home remedy for thrush. With the help of a soda solution, you can eliminate the symptoms of thrush, neutralize the pathogenic microflora. This method can be used for candidiasis of any type, even when newborns are infected. Boiled water must be used to prepare the solution.

You can eliminate the symptoms of thrush with a soda solution: in 1 liter of warm boiled water, you need to dilute 1 tbsp. l. substances. This solution should be used for douching in the morning and evening. The duration of treatment is from 5 to 7 days. The procedure neutralizes the acidic vaginal environment, creating unfavorable conditions for the reproduction of the fungus.

A solution of sodium bicarbonate can also be used for washing, which is recommended after urination. Such procedures help to eliminate the burning sensation and pain that occurs when urine enters the affected genital mucosa.

Sedentary baths are effective for eliminating fungal infections. For 1 liter of warm water, 1 tbsp. l. sodium bicarbonate and 1 tsp. iodine. The duration of the procedure is 15 minutes, it is recommended to carry it out 2 times a day. Iodine has disinfecting and drying properties. In combination with sodium bicarbonate gives excellent results. It is important to remember that an overdose of this component can cause burns and an allergic reaction.

For skin candidiasis, you need to prepare a solution of 1 tsp. soda and 200 ml of water. Soda solution should be used to treat the affected areas. If the thrush is localized in one place, then it is recommended to make lotions with a solution of sodium bicarbonate. To do this, soak a gauze napkin with it, apply it to the affected area, fix it, leave it for 30 minutes. This method of treatment eliminates fungal infection, promotes rapid healing of wounds.

Limitations on the use of sodium bicarbonate

Soda solution has a pronounced antibacterial effect, therefore, it effectively eliminates painful symptoms, neutralizes a fungal infection without harming beneficial microorganisms. However, it may not always be used. Contraindications include:

• pregnancy (douching in the early stages can cause fetal fading or miscarriage);
• intolerance to the components of sodium bicarbonate;
• the period after childbirth and abortion;
• inflammation of the pelvic organs;
• erosion of the cervix and gynecological diseases in acute form;
• reduced acidity of the vaginal microflora;
• menses.

When treating candidiasis with soda, you should refrain from sexual activity, taking hot baths, visiting baths, saunas, swimming pools, solariums, and swimming in open water. It is not recommended to wear tight underwear and underwear made of synthetic fabrics. It is necessary to give up alcohol, coffee, spicy, salty and fatty foods.

When preparing the solution, it is important to ensure that the substance is completely dissolved. Dry powder, getting on the mucous membrane, can cause a burn. When used properly, baking soda will help eliminate a fungal infection. The reason for the negative impact of soda treatment may be non-compliance with recommendations on the dosage of sodium bicarbonate and the frequency of its use.
