First of all, we prepare all the products that will be needed to prepare the dish. Remove old leaves from white cabbage, and peel onions and carrots. Then we wash the vegetables under cold running water, dry them with paper kitchen towels, put them in turn on a cutting board and chop. We cut the onion into half rings or cubes up to 5 - 6 millimeters thick.

We rub the carrots on a medium or large grater.

We chop the cabbage into strips up to 7 millimeters thick, put it in a deep bowl, and the rest of the cuts in deep plates. We also put salt, tomato paste and black pepper on the kitchen table.

Step 2: cook stewed cabbage in a slow cooker.



Now let's start cooking. Turn on and warm up the multicooker for 5 minutes on mode "Bakery". Then pour vegetable oil into its bowl and spread the chopped onion. We fry it 5 minutes, stirring occasionally with a wooden spatula or plastic spoon.


After that, add carrots, tomato paste to the onion and simmer the vegetables together for another 5 minutes. Next, put chopped cabbage, salt, black pepper into the multicooker bowl and pour in one multi-glass of purified water. Gently mix the products until a homogeneous consistency and set the mode on the kitchen appliance "Soup/Stew" on the 1 hour.


During the entire cooking time, the multicooker lid can be opened several times and the vegetables re-mixed. If at the end of the quenching at the bottom of the bowl there is a lot of water left, fry the cabbage on the mode "Bakery" 5 – 10 minutes, depending on the amount of liquid.

About the recipe. Especially tasty stewed cabbage is obtained from a fresh vegetable with delicate green leaves. There are no tomatoes used here (for my taste, they turn out sour), I was content with ketchup - the classic ingredient in this dish.     Rinse and peel the carrots, cut them into large strips, for this you must first cut the carrots into longitudinal plates, and then chop them across.

    Onions need to be peeled and cut first into half rings, and then in half again.

    Young cabbage should be cleaned from the upper leaves, cut along the stalk, and then cut it out. From 1 kg of cabbage, after cleaning, I got 850g. Cut the cabbage the way you like, I use a vegetable cutter for this, thanks to which it turns out thin shavings.

    Pour vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl and set the "frying" mode. When the oil is hot, start the chopped carrots and fry them with the multicooker lid closed for three minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Then start the chopped onion, mix and continue frying under the lid, also 3 minutes.

    Next, start the chopped cabbage and continue frying with the lid closed and stirring occasionally. If you are using a new crop of cabbage, you do not need to grind it with salt first, it already quickly gives juice and begins to fry.

    After 10 minutes of frying, the cabbage will decrease in volume by half, become soft and even burn a little without stirring, be on the lookout.

    It's time to add salt, ketchup or tomato paste (in this case, I recommend adding 1 tsp each of table vinegar and sugar), cloves, peppercorns and bay leaf.

    Mix all the ingredients evenly, as during the stewing you will not even need to look under the lid of the multicooker.

    Set the “stew” mode for 30 minutes (or more, depending on the quality of the cabbage), close the slow cooker and go about your business, the device will do an excellent job with gentle stewing, in which the vegetables languish without reaching a boil. There is enough liquid in cabbage and vegetables, so you do not need to add water.

    As soon as the signal sounds, taste the dish and, if necessary, add a little more time to stew, if it is young cabbage, then, as a rule, 30 minutes is enough.

    Serve the cabbage stewed in a slow cooker hot, garnished with fresh herbs.

  5. Finely chop the cabbage. When the mushrooms are ready, add cabbage to them. Add good quality soy sauce and 1 cup water.

Cooking process:

  1. Finely chop the washed cabbage with a knife or vegetable cutter. Wash the meat, dry it, cut the veins, if any, cut into pieces of about 1x1 cm.
  2. Peel and wash onions and carrots. Grate large carrots. Onion cut into small cubes.

If there is no tomato sauce at home, you can make it yourself in the amount necessary for the dish. To do this, cut into pieces 1 large tomato and 1 peeled garlic clove, add a pinch of salt, punch with a blender.
  6. Set the "Stewing" program and cook the cabbage in this way for 1 hour. If the head of cabbage is hard, cook the dish for 1 hour 20 minutes.
