Jobs and available vacancies in nha trang. Finding a job and doing business in Vietnam Jobs in Vietnam for Belarusians

Vietnam is a socialist state in Southeast Asia, washed by the South China Sea and bordered by Laos, Cambodia and China. Over the past decades, the country's economy has changed significantly. The dependence on the agricultural sector, which now accounts for no more than 18% of GDP, has noticeably decreased. Every year the growth rate of industrial production is increasing. Local authorities are aimed at modernizing the economy, increasing competitiveness and increasing foreign trade.

Vietnam population 2020 is about 97.3 million people. At the same time, unemployment does not exceed 2.2%. This is an impressive figure when you consider that the labor force is increasing by an average of 1 million people every year. Poverty has fallen significantly, investment is being attracted to the country, and many foreigners are quite successful in finding jobs in the local labor market.

Work in Vietnam in 2020 for Russians and Ukrainians is available to both qualified specialists, especially owners of technical professions, and workers without special qualifications, for example, in the tourism industry. Wages are not so high in comparison with employment in China or, in particular, in Hong Kong, but every year the income of the Vietnamese, and consequently, of foreign job seekers, only increases.

Vietnam has thousands of kilometers of beautiful beaches, beautiful lakes, modern infrastructure and wonderful cuisine, perhaps the best in Asia. The country has almost recovered from the difficult periods of its history associated with wars, today it is quite safe here and comfortable conditions for life have been created. Next, we will consider the features of labor migration, options for finding a job, and also indicate the available wages and vacancies in Vietnam in 2020.

Labor migration to Vietnam

Despite the stability of the economy and the growth of employment, the Vietnamese government seeks to provide jobs, first of all, to its own citizens. In principle, like most other countries in the world. At the same time, the opening of new sectors of production, the development of the service sector and the arrival of many international companies in the country require specialists of different professions and skill levels, which opens up access to vacancies in Vietnam for foreign job seekers, including Russians.

The main requirement for foreigners for official employment in Vietnam for the period more than 3 months is to obtain a work permit from the local Ministry of Labor. Officially, foreign applicants have the right to apply for a document directly in Vietnamese territory ( no later than 3 months after arrival) or while in your own country, which is more preferable.

Basic conditions for granting a work permit in Vietnam

    Age at least 18 years old.

  • Satisfactory state of health, allowing to perform professional duties.
  • No criminal record in the country of residence and, of course, directly in Vietnam.
  • The presence of higher education and work experience of at least 5 years in a field of activity that is scarce for the Vietnamese labor market. Basically, managers, supervisors and qualified technicians are required.

If the above criteria are met and there is a specific job offer from a local company, which is a prerequisite, it is necessary to prepare a list of required documentation, which is translated into Vietnamese and notarized. As a rule, the employer assists in the transfer of documents to the local authorities.

Documents for obtaining a work permit in Vietnam

    A completed application in the prescribed form (Vietnamese or English).

    Copy of foreign passport.

    Two color photographs (4 cm x 6 cm) taken within the last 6 months.

    A job offer and a corresponding request from the employer.

    Medical certificate issued by an authorized healthcare institution, valid for at least 12 months.

    Copies of documents on education and qualifications.

    Certificate of no criminal record in the home country and in Vietnam, in case of residence in the country for more than a month.

Documents are sent to the Ministry of Labor of Vietnam no later than two weeks before starting work, but it is advisable to do this at least two months in advance. Officially, the application is considered no more than 7 working days, and in case of a positive decision, the foreigner receives a work permit for up to 2 years. The document is extended by the employer no later than 30 days before the expiration of the previous permit for the same period, but on the condition that local specialists do not apply for this place.

Who does not need a work permit in Vietnam

    Foreigners with a higher education of at least a bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of work experience for short-term employment for a period of up to 30 days, and a total of no more than 90 days during the year.

    In the case of a transfer between companies in the following areas of activity - information technology, business, education, construction, healthcare, environmental protection, finance, transport, tourism and entertainment.

    Owners or members of the board of directors of Vietnamese companies.

    Lawyers, with an official license.

    Foreign media workers.

    Teachers on the basis of international agreements and under the control of foreign Embassies.

    Interns and employees of international volunteer organizations.

There are different options for obtaining visas to Vietnam, for example, you can do it at the airport upon arrival, and for some foreigners, including Russian citizens, when visiting the country for up to 14 days, a visa is not required at all. However, in case of long-term employment, it is better to open a visa in advance at the Vietnamese Consulate in your country, which will allow you to replace the document with a full-fledged residence permit in Vietnam after moving.

The whole process of labor migration is quite complex, so you need to carefully coordinate your actions with the staff of the diplomatic department of Vietnam and the employer. In addition, the laws regarding the hiring of foreign workers are frequently changed in the country, for example, the latest changes date back to April 2016.

Jobs and salary in Vietnam in 2020

At present, the standard of living of the Vietnamese is noticeably lower in comparison with Western and developed Asian countries. Let's say a job in South Korea or Japan will bring a significantly higher income to a foreigner. On the other hand, the cost of living, prices and other daily expenses in Vietnam to some extent smooth out these differences. The fact that over the past 15 years the government has managed to reduce the poverty rate from 58% to 14% and overcome unemployment speaks volumes. In the future, work in Vietnam looks quite attractive.

The Vietnamese are mainly employed in the service sector and agriculture, engineering, food and manufacturing industries, clothing and footwear production. Depending on the region in 2020, the minimum monthly wage for a local worker ranges from 3.07 to 4.42 million VND, which is equivalent to 120-170 euros. The average salary in Vietnam in 2020 is 6 million dong or 230 euros per month. As a rule, foreigners occupy the positions of qualified specialists; accordingly, they can count on salaries in 500-1000 euros per month and higher.

The most prestigious vacancies in Vietnam for foreigners are offered by international companies and organizations where you can earn more than 800-1000 euros per month. In particular, senior managers and other executives are needed, as well as highly qualified technical specialists. Sometimes doctors are required, especially dentists.

Every year, Vietnamese resorts are visited by a large number of tourists, including Russian speakers. Local employers are willing to employ foreigners, for example, there are jobs in Vietnam for guides, diving instructors, hotel administrators, tour guides, less often, waiters, bartenders, cooks. Pay attention to the city Nha Trang, where traditionally there are many Russian tourists and language requirements can be minimal. Wages in these areas start from 150-200 euros and more, as you're lucky.

Vietnam is a poor but promising state. Salaries here are low, but the cheapness of life and the accelerating pace of growth and development of the economy every year attract more and more migrant workers.

The data published by the Institute of Economic Research and Policy (VEPR) show the positive dynamics of the Vietnamese economy. Growth in the first quarter of 2019 was 7%. This is the highest figure in the last 10 years.

By co standing at the beginning of 2019, the unemployment rate in Vietnam fell to 2.02%. The minimum wage has risen to $170 and the average wage has reached $230 per month. Specialists receive within 500-1000 dollars.

In Vietnam, engineers are highly valued, as well as healthcare workers from Russia and Ukraine. The growth of the tourist flow from the CIS countries generates a demand for Russian-speaking guides, animators, and tourism workers.

Of the advantages of working in Vietnam, it is worth noting the opportunity to earn 20-30% higher than the average for Russia, as well as the relative cheapness of life. Among the minuses is the need for at least a minimum knowledge of Vietnamese.

In-demand specialties in Vietnam include:

  • English teachers;

Types of employment

The most massive work for foreigners in Vietnam is teaching English. But even for those who do not speak the language, there are opportunities to find work.

Work without knowing the language

Russian-speaking guides, kitesurfing and diving instructors are in demand. The cities of Nha Trang and Mui Ne are inhabited by Russians and Ukrainians who have small and medium-sized businesses in Vietnam and are ready to hire their compatriots.

The following professions are in demand among Russian-speaking employers:

  • cook;
  • waiter;
  • masseur;
  • dancer;
  • household assistant (nanny, gardener).

Among the Vietnamese themselves, there are also people who know the Russian language. In this case, it is possible to get a job with them, for example, as an auxiliary worker.

Seasonal work

Seasonal work in Vietnam is directly related to the tourist season. During this period, additional vacancies are opened for:

  • water sports instructors;
  • fitness trainers;
  • massage therapists;
  • cooks;
  • waiters;
  • photographers.

The largest influx of tourists is observed from December to April.

Temporary job

Short term required:

  • administrators of a restaurant, hotel, spa;
  • waiters;
  • guides;
  • animators;
  • souvenir sellers.

Temporary activities in Vietnam are likely to be informal.

Other options

Another popular, albeit illegal, way to make money in Vietnam is to look for possible ways to work independently. For example, organizing shopping tours, gastronomic tours, part-time work as a street performer.

Rotational and contract methods of work involve living on the territory of the employer, that is, he himself is looking for a place of residence for future employees. Most often, he also pays for the accommodation and meals of employees.

But still, the terms of the contract need to be looked at, since not all firms are ready to take on these responsibilities.

The official recruitment process

Getting a legal job in Vietnam is quite simple, the main thing is to have a specialty that is in demand in the country and prepare all the necessary documents.

Priority of actions

The main steps on the way to official work in Vietnam:

  1. Drawing up a resume.
  2. Job search.
  3. After receiving a positive response from the employer - preparation of the necessary package of documents.
  4. Applying for a work visa.

As soon as the formalities are settled, the information must be transferred to the local department of labor, after which you can begin to perform work duties.

Types of work permits

It is possible to legally work in Vietnam upon opening either a work or a business visa. In the first case, hired labor is assumed, and in the second, independent business in the country.

Categories that do not require a work permit

Persons who can carry out legal labor activity without opening a work visa:

  • working no more than three months within one year;
  • who own a limited liability company in Vietnam or are members of the board of a joint-stock company;
  • engaged in sales in a foreign company in Vietnam;
  • providing services of a foreign lawyer with a license to practice law issued by the Ministry of Justice.

In other cases, opening a work visa is a prerequisite for carrying out legal work activities.

List of main documents

To obtain a legal job in Vietnam and obtain a work visa, you must collect the following package of documents:

  • a request for a work permit (to be prepared by the employer);

  • medical certificate confirming the ability to work;

  • documents confirming the education of a bachelor's degree or higher;
  • documents confirming the availability of work experience;

  • documents confirming the right of the employer to employ foreign citizens;
  • two color photographs 4.0 x 6.0 cm.

Once the package of documents is ready, you can open a work visa.

Applying for a work visa

You can get a working Vietnamese visa directly on the territory of Vietnam by entering the country on a tourist visa. But still, it is better to do this in advance through the embassy or consulate of Vietnam in the actual host country.

Eligibility Criteria for Employment Visas

You can open a work visa only if the applicant meets the following points:

  • Age at least 18 years old.
  • No convictions.
  • The absence of health problems that could become an obstacle in the implementation of labor activity.
  • Higher education.
  • Experience in the specialty.

All documents confirming the applicant's data must be translated into Vietnamese and certified by a notary.

Work visa extension

A standard work visa is issued for up to 2 years. After this time, the visa can be extended within 30 days from the expiration date of the first work visa. The visa will be extended for up to 2 years, but only if local specialists do not apply for this position.

Business immigration

The sphere of services and production of goods in Vietnam is completely concentrated in the hands of private entrepreneurs. Opening of enterprises with 100% foreign capital is allowed here. According to local law, to obtain a business license, you must have assets of at least $30,000.

Internship in Vietnam

Students and graduates of universities can take an internship in Vietnam. Places and grants are available in Vietnamese, hotel and restaurant business. Young people from 18 to 28 years old can participate in volunteer programs and internships of international youth organizations such as AIESEC.

Consequences for illegal employment

In case of revealing facts of illegal work, deportation from the country is legally provided. The high level of corruption in Vietnam has led to the fact that in most cases the police turn a blind eye to illegally working foreigners.

The fine for overstaying a visa is $5 for each overdue day.

Vietnam is attractive due to the relatively simple procedure for obtaining a work visa and the ability to legally work for a short time without having a work permit. In addition, the country has a wide list of vacancies for both specialists and people without qualifications.

Vietnam is the poorest country in which the Communist Party continues to play a leading role. In this state, there is a huge gap between the rich and the disadvantaged. And many people live in such poverty that the Russians never dreamed of. However, residents of Russia often go to Vietnam not only for vacation, but also for year-round stay.

This country is attractive for its amazing beaches, and the cheapness of accommodation and services, and a kind of exotic. Russian entrepreneurs, programmers, bloggers and representatives of other professions live here for months. Our correspondent Olga Malysheva spoke with Anna Moskalenko, who works as a translator from Vietnamese and often visits this country.

Text: Olga Malysheva

— What do you need to go to Vietnam for a long time?

- Firstly, knowledge of the Vietnamese language is required. Without this, there is nothing to do there if you are going to live and work in local enterprises, and not stay as a tourist.
For example, I was sent for an internship with a group of Russian students in Hanoi. I studied the language for free - through the university. In the group with me were students from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Vladivostok. If you are studying at a university and want to visit Vietnam, then start preparing for the trip from your institute. It is quite possible that they will be able to help you there, including with the study of the language.
You can also learn the language at a Russian language school that teaches Vietnamese, but you will probably have to pay for it there.

However, if you work remotely (for example, you are a programmer), and you consider this country as a place where you can, sitting on the beach, sort out the keys of a laptop, then you don’t need to learn the Vietnamese language - basic knowledge of English is enough to communicate in the store.

How difficult is it to get a visa?

— Traveling to Vietnam is quite easy. You can stay without a visa in the country for two weeks. You can get it either in advance at the embassy, or directly at the airport after arrival.
You can issue an invitation for one month for 20 dollars, and for 35 - for three months. For example, through this service:

There is one trick to extending a visa. To do this, you need to leave the country, but it is not necessary to fly home every three months, which is very expensive. It is enough to buy a bus ticket to Cambodia, which costs only 11 dollars, cross the border, spend a day in Cambodia, and then enter back into Vietnam. Thus, the visa can be renewed.
You can also apply for a visa at the Vietnamese consulate in the same Cambodia. In three days you can be issued a visa there for up to a year. In Russia, at the Vietnamese consulate, you cannot get a visa of the same duration - here they draw up a document for a maximum of three months.

- How much does it cost to rent a house in Vietnam and provide yourself with everything you need?

- To go to Vietnam and live comfortably there, it is enough to have an apartment in Russia and rent it out for 30 thousand rubles. This money is enough to live in clover and not deny yourself anything in Vietnam. You can rent a luxury apartment in Hanoi for $200, a room for $100. It should be noted right away that you cannot buy an apartment there - this is prohibited by law. You can only shoot.

Another expense item is renting a motorcycle: it is difficult to live without it, since this is almost the only means of transportation in the absence of public transport. The average rent is $60, plus gas money.

— How are things with work?

- It is easier for English-speaking Europeans here than for Ukrainians and Russians. With a Canadian, English, Australian and US passport, you are eligible to teach at many Vietnamese companies that teach English. English is now in high demand in Vietnam. Foreigners receive an average of $30 per hour of teaching.
I have a Russian passport. But, despite this, I worked as an English teacher. I had to lie to students that I was also from Canada or Australia, and my boss, who knew that I was Russian, took advantage of my vulnerable position and paid me $ 15 per hour of work (that is, half as much as usual).

If you plan to make money with unskilled labor (laundry, cleaning, courier services, repairs), then Vietnam is not the best option. Here, this labor niche is occupied by immigrants from the Asian region, and labor in this area costs negligible.
And if you have a good education, if you know Vietnamese and English, then you will have broader prospects in the field of skilled work. In particular, you can get a job as a manager in a travel agency, in a hotel, in a bank. If there is a technical, construction education, then engineers, technologists, architects are very much needed here.

As for opening your own business by Russians in Vietnam, you can run your own restaurant, car wash, hotel.

- How does the migration legislation relate to the employment of visitors?

— If you are a foreign private entrepreneur, then you do not need a work permit. The Vietnamese are quite welcoming to foreign investment in their economy.
But if you get a job as an employee and intend to work for more than three months, then your boss is required to obtain permission from the Ministry of Labor and hire you in a special status - a “foreign citizen”.
A work permit is not required if you are entering the country by invitation.

— What can you say about everyday aspects of life in Vietnam?

- People who are afraid of dirt, unsanitary conditions, diseases, poisoning will be scared here. If something happens, it will be difficult to get high-quality and cheap medical care in Vietnam. There are only foreign clinics whose bills reach thousands of dollars.
If you want to be treated, welcome to the French hospital, where first aid costs $600, and a day in the ward costs $300. Getting sick in Vietnam is expensive, so it's best to be as careful as possible.

Another tip: watch your belongings, the country is very poor, and this is fraught with theft. It is also worth carefully watching what you eat, what you drink and always be on the alert, as every day they will try to deceive you at least somewhere.

— How do the local population treat foreigners?

- The main goal in the life of absolutely any Vietnamese is to “shoe” a foreigner for money. Your white skin color for them is like a red rag for a bull, symbolizing a lot of money in your wallet. In 100 percent of cases, the Vietnamese will name the price of any things and products many times more than the real one if they understand that you are a foreigner. So, if you have a talent for bargaining, then it will come in very handy.

One should not go there. I recommend traveling alone or in a small group.
You should not expect to find your "soul mate" in Vietnam. Local Europeans prefer connections for one night, some find local girlfriends, but most often it ends with the young ladies simply extorting money from overseas guests. And, by the way, this is only half the trouble. Love affairs with the locals here can result in exotic diseases, and, as mentioned earlier, being treated in Vietnam is an expensive pleasure.

“It seems to me that we have quite frightened our readers and discouraged them from going to this country. Maybe it's better to choose some safer direction? Who would you advise to go live in Vietnam?

Well, it's not all bad there. Of course, there are safer and more promising countries, but their list is quickly exhausted, and I want something new. Vietnam is a fresh experience for those who have already traveled a lot.

This is a good country for wealthy people - where you can relax, relax. Many go there from Russia for summer, warmth - away from the cold winter. Many people like the Vietnamese flavor: Hanoi and Saigon are like two different countries... The cold communist north and the depraved hot south...
In general, this is a country for those who are looking for relaxation, adventure and replenish the treasury of life experience.
