So, the whole turkey is washed, divided into portions.


Mushrooms (I used sandboxes, those that I had stocked up since autumn) were frozen and laid out in bags in the form of briquettes, I immediately put this frozen briquette into a slow cooker and turn on the “Baking” mode (for Panasonic) for 20 minutes, in other models you can use the more powerful "Frying" mode. The lid is open, I periodically stir the frozen mushrooms with a spatula, wait for them to defrost, then salt them a little.


Peel raw potatoes and chop into small cubes.

Sometimes I cook stewed poultry with sautéed vegetables (usually with onions and carrots), but today my fussy people asked me to cook a turkey with potatoes without them, only with mushrooms.

The mushrooms in the slow cooker have warmed up, they can be removed, put pieces of turkey meat,


mushrooms on them.


Then I pour chopped potatoes to the turkey,


salt, add dried chopped root parsley, ground pepper, bay leaf.


I fill the turkey with potatoes and mushrooms with boiling water from the kettle (so that the dish starts to cook faster in the slow cooker), the photo shows that the water hardly reaches the top of the potatoes.


If you want a turkey stew with a lot of broth, like a thick soup, then cover it completely with liquid.

Stewed turkey with potatoes and mushrooms according to this recipe will be cooked in the "Stew" mode for 2 hours, about half an hour before the end of cooking, you will need to open the lid


and mix everything.


Similarly, you can stew turkey pieces with potatoes and mushrooms on the stove over low heat in a tall saucepan, cauldron or thick-walled brazier. As you can see, I do not add oil or fat to this dish at all, if you are not used to such healthy food, fry onions, carrots and mushrooms together in vegetable or butter, and then stew vegetables with poultry.
