By the way, sometimes I even use kefir instead. The main thing is that it is a fermented milk product, which will prevent the potatoes from darkening and make the potato pancakes more tender. It is also not necessary to use the highest grade of wheat flour - the first grade will do. It’s clear that some may say, why all these additives... Draniki are purely potatoes and onions... But that’s how I cook it and we like it that way.


Mix everything thoroughly (I do this directly by hand, it’s more convenient), taste for salt, and add it if necessary. By the way, do you know what is the beauty of stirring by hand? You can easily feel pieces of potatoes or onions that might have slipped through and not been chopped.


Now we will fry potato pancakes with minced meat. Pour some refined vegetable oil into the frying pan, heat it well and add a tablespoon and level the potato mixture so that you get a fairly thin pancake.

Heat a frying pan over high heat and heat the required amount of vegetable oil in it, and then use a tablespoon to spread the prepared mass. Reduce heat and fry pancakes until golden brown for 5-7 minutes, then turn over and fry some more 3-5 minutes. Place the finished pancakes on a plate and cover with a lid so that they sit slightly and do not cool while you prepare the next batch.
