The meaning of the Tarot card Waite's Justice is not much different from the classic Justice in the Marseille Tarot. An important addition is the columns, the same as we have already seen in the Hierophant and the Priestess. Waite pays special attention to columns. Waite's description of the map provides a cryptic note that the pillars of Justice open the entrance to one world, and the columns to another. Justice points to the channel to the Higher Law of Existence, and the Priestess - to the laws of Nature. Modern researchers have managed to reconcile the laws of Existence and Nature, having found an amazing, comprehensive formula: “He who has an ax also has meat.”

Like other descriptions of the Major Arcana, the description and meaning of the Justice Tarot card is exclusively mystical and poetic. If it weren't for the extra chapter, we would never have known what this card means.

The key words of Justice are not order, prudence, harmony and responsibility, and not even fairness. All this is correct and important, but not the most important thing.
