First, put everything aside, brew yourself a cup of aromatic green tea (green tea has been proven to contain beneficial substances that help you calm down faster), open a bar of dark chocolate purchased in advance at the store and enjoy the silence. Don't think about work - think about something more pleasant, for example, about your trip last year. Take a break from gloomy thoughts and, at least for a couple of minutes, immerse yourself in a state of absolute harmony and peace.

      5. Do some cleaning. It’s hard to believe, but an activity so unloved by most, like cleaning the apartment, can really help relieve stress and get rid of unpleasant thoughts. If you focus on organizing things, you won't have time to pay attention to stressors. In addition, it is known that external order is transferred to order in life. And working in a tidy apartment will bring you much greater satisfaction.

      6. Control your breathing. When a person is in an anxious state, his breathing quickens. At the same time, a person is unable to concentrate on important matters, everything falls out of his hands. To prevent this from happening, you should control your breathing. How? It's very simple - take a deep breath, hold your breath for one second, then slowly exhale. In this case, your exhalation should be twice as slow as your inhalation. While doing the exercise, try to concentrate on your own breathing.

      7. Start practicing relaxation techniques and take up meditation. Meditation will help not only get rid of problems, but also learn to abstract from them, “clearing” your head of disturbing thoughts. You learn to react calmer to stressful situations, and some of them are completely ignored. Everyday stress-forming factors, such as traffic jams, blockages at work and city noise, which previously led to psychological breakdowns, will lose all meaning for you. You will learn to treat them as normal factors that happen from time to time. Moreover, you will begin to be surprised at how painfully people perceive ordinary situations, how they react anxiously to them. After all, this is such nonsense!

      8. Listen to pleasant music. It doesn't have to be meditation music or birdsong, although the beneficial effects of this music can hardly be disputed. You can just drop everything, lie down on your bed, put on your favorite headphones and plunge into the magnificent world of music. The main requirement is that you should like the music and every time you listen to it, it should evoke pleasant emotions in you. Of course, it is advisable to listen to the smooth and monotonous sound of the melody. This type of music may seem boring and even tedious, but it is recommended for relaxation and stress relief. But again, the choice of music is always yours.

      9. Relax... on the way home. You probably know how many stressful situations arise during the working day. Some of us continue to accumulate it when we return home. As a result, stress creates a bad mood, which then spills over to family and friends. The result is quarrels and conflicts that do not in any way contribute to a good continuation of the day.

      Have you noticed how many conflict situations arise on public transport in the evening, when most people return home from work? People scream, quarrel and get nervous. But do it differently - don’t let general panic take over your mood. Just turn off your thoughts and abstract yourself. If it’s difficult for you to do this, buy an MP-3 player and download several relaxation compositions onto it. Remember: you should leave all negative emotions received at work at work.

      10. Learn to manage your thoughts. If obsessive thoughts constantly creep into your head, drive them away. Having allowed them once, you will begin to beat yourself up over trifles, which in reality are not worth a penny. Concentrate exclusively on positive and optimistic thoughts. The second category of friends are constantly positive, interested in your affairs, it is so easy and simple to communicate with them, forgetting about problems. These are the people you need to communicate with, so try to spend most of your time with them, and start moving away from the first category of friends or minimize your communication.

      12. Turn everything off. This technique is so simple that you can use it right after you finish reading the article. Turn off your computer, phone, TV, stereo and anything else that might distract you. Lie down on the couch and be alone with positive thoughts. This is a great time-tested way to get rid of stress.

      13. Prevent stress. Stress, like any disease, is easier to prevent than to treat. How to do it? Very simple! Change your attitude towards many areas of your life.
