Step by step recipe

Preparing cottage cheese casserole with blueberries is simple and quick, the main thing is to follow the recipe step by step.

First, mix semolina with sour cream in a bowl and leave to swell for about 30-40 minutes. Wash the blueberries under running water and drain in a colander.

Mash the cottage cheese thoroughly with a fork or puree with a blender until smooth so that there are no lumps left. Add sugar, add eggs and cream and mix everything thoroughly again. Salt the curd mass.

Now it’s semolina’s turn. When it swells enough, add it to the batch. The last chord is blueberry. Mix the berries into the dough carefully so as not to crush them.

Turn on the oven, setting the temperature to 180 degrees.

Grease a mold with high sides with natural butter, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and transfer the curd mass into it. Place the pan in the oven, set the timer for 40 minutes and rest.

After 40 minutes, check how the cottage cheese casserole with blueberries feels in the oven. By then she should be ready. You can verify this with a wooden toothpick. If it remains dry after dipping into the dough, then the dish is ready. But the casserole should not be immediately removed from the oven, but rather left to “rest” for another 10 minutes.

Recipes often indicate that semolina can be added to the dough without pre-soaking. This is a big mistake, since the cereal will not have time to cook, and the product will turn out flat and dense, heavy on the stomach.

The recipe for cottage cheese casserole with blueberries can be modified. In particular, instead of cream, add cow butter melted in a water bath, replace blueberries with apples, pears, cherries or strawberries, and replace semolina with instant oatmeal.

The dessert is cut into portions, topped with sour cream, jam or preserves and served with tea, coffee, or compote.
