The first step is to properly prepare the potatoes - peel and wash the tubers, dry them, and cut them into oblong pieces. Afterwards, be sure to dry the potato wedges with paper napkins.

Peel the sausages, cut into strips, and set aside for a while.

Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan, be sure to place the potato chunks in the hot oil, fry for 5-7 minutes, never cover with a lid!

For cooking you will need potatoes, onions, as well as hunting sausages or sausages. If desired, you can add bell pepper to the list of products; it harmonizes perfectly with smoked meats and potatoes. The best spices to use are ground black pepper, dried basil and oregano, although you can always use seasonings that you like, such as ground coriander or suneli hops. Fresh finely chopped dill will fill the dish with the aroma of summer and greenery, while dried dill will add a touch of piquancy. Fans of spicy dishes can season their potatoes and sausages with a pinch or two of red pepper.

Total cooking time: 30 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • potatoes - 1 kg
  • large onion - 1 pc.
  • hunting sausages - 4 pcs.
  • vegetable oil or lard - 3 tbsp. l.
  • salt - to taste
  • mixture of ground peppers - 2 chips.
  • dried oregano and basil - 2 chips each.
  • dill - 10 g

Preparation

    I peeled about a kilogram of potatoes and cut them into equal-sized slices. I poured boiling water over it and boiled until half cooked - exactly 5 minutes from the moment the water boiled again in the pan.

    Heat lard in a deep frying pan - there should be a lot of fat if you want the potatoes to turn out rosy and crispy. If you don’t like potatoes in lard, you can use refined vegetable oil. As soon as the lard was hot, I put hunting sausages and onions into the frying pan - coarsely chopped, as hunters like. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes, over high heat, stirring regularly to prevent the onion from burning. The sausages should warm through and brown a little, but not too much, as they will continue to fry with the potatoes.

    I drained all the liquid from the pan with potatoes. I dipped the potato wedges with a towel to remove moisture from the surface. I poured them into the pan with the sausage and onions. I didn’t turn it over for the first couple of minutes - during this time all excess moisture should leave the pan. If you overmix, the potatoes may crumble. You need to cook without a lid, over high heat.

    After 2-3 minutes, carefully mixed with a spatula. Continued frying for another 10 minutes, stirring the contents of the pan from time to time.

    At the very end, I added a little finely chopped dill and immediately removed the pan from the heat. If desired, you can add finely chopped garlic - 1 clove will be enough to give the dish a piquant taste and not overpower the presence of hunting sausages.

It is better to serve the dish piping hot, while the hunter-style potatoes with sausages are still hot. You can supplement it with fresh vegetables, a glass of tomato juice or a glass of beer. Bon appetit!

Fried potatoes with sausages are a tasty and satisfying dish for a home-cooked lunch or dinner. It is prepared quite quickly from the simplest and most inexpensive ingredients. Old and new potatoes are suitable for cooking. In both versions the dish turns out very tasty. Use boiled or smoked sausages if you want more flavorful potatoes. You can fry potato slices in vegetable oil or lard.

To prepare fried potatoes with sausages, use the following products.

I use small new potatoes. To speed up the process, young potato tubers do not need to be peeled. If using old potatoes, trim off the skins. Rinse thoroughly under running water, or even with a washcloth.

Cut small potatoes into four halves. If using large root vegetables, cut them into 6-8 pieces.

Place potato wedges in a deep bowl. Season with salt and ground black pepper and stir.

Pour oil into a frying pan and heat well.

Add prepared potatoes. Place the frying pan over high heat.

Stirring occasionally, fry the potato pieces until golden brown on all sides.

After the potatoes have browned, add the sausages cut into small pieces and chopped garlic. Stir and fry over high heat, stirring constantly, until the sausages are browned.

In general, you can start with sausages - everything else, according to my children, is completely unimportant. However, we have a deal: if you want those unintelligible pieces of sausage on your plate, please take it upon yourself to eat the rest. They are experts at scooping out sausages and leaving carrots and cabbage, but in our family there is a taboo on such tricks, so the children sigh and eat what seems healthy to me in order to enjoy what they think is tasty. Of course, you can now open a debate and start talking about the dubious benefits of fried carrots and cabbage, which have succumbed to heat treatment, but, you see, even in this form, these vegetables are much healthier than the same sausages or many other dishes we are familiar with, so I don’t really bother moments like this and I’m just glad that I can feed the children something tasty and... ok, even if it’s not harmful. Although why only children? My husband and I also enjoy it very much fried potatoes with vegetables and sausages - however, we honestly give sausages for the benefit of those to whom they seem like manna from heaven.

Contrary to the stereotyped opinion, potatoes are not at all as high in calories as they are commonly thought to be. An average serving contains only about 110 kcal, but adding butter immediately almost doubles the calorie content of the dish.

A completely homey, everyday dish. There is no pathos or sophistication, no expensive products or particularly rare ingredients. The most ordinary food for the most ordinary everyday dinners, with one thing: it's delicious! It's so delicious that it's hard to resist the temptation to take another half serving. Well, besides, it is prepared quite simply and unobtrusively - it’s quite possible to think of it for dinner after a long day of work.

Ingredients:

4 medium potato tubers;

1/4 small head of cabbage;

1 carrot;

2 onions;

3-4 sausages;

vegetable oil for frying;

salt, pepper, herbs to taste.

We prepare all the ingredients right away to make everything easier and faster.

Peel onions, carrots, potatoes.

We cut: potatoes into strips (put them in a bowl of water), carrots into long thin strips (a special knife for slicing vegetables will help you), onions into half rings. At the same time, chop the cabbage. Well, for company, we immediately cut the sausages - as large or small as you see fit (I usually divide each one in half lengthwise, and then turn it into crescents).

Heat the oil well in a thick-bottomed frying pan and add lightly dried potatoes. Stirring very rarely, fry until almost done. When the potatoes become soft, add the onion, after a minute - the carrots and cabbage, slightly mashed by hand. Stir and fry for another 5-7 minutes until the carrots are ready. At the end, add the sausages, then add salt, pepper if desired, and mix. Turn it off.

Serve immediately. Of course, it’s better with aromatic ground tomatoes or barrel pickles. Tasty and appetizing!
