When a citizen takes the military oath. Military oath

Oath.
What is the Military Oath? The Military Oath is the basic law of military life. The procedure for bringing military personnel to the military oath.
One of the features of military service is the mandatory taking of the military oath by every citizen enlisted for military service for the first time.
Nowadays, those entering military service take the military oath in front of the State Flag of the Russian Federation and the Battle Banner of the military unit. The Federal Law of the Russian Federation “On Military Duty and Military Service” approved the following text of the military oath:

“I, (last name, first name, patronymic), solemnly swear allegiance to my Fatherland - the Russian Federation. I swear to sacredly observe the Constitution of the Russian Federation, strictly comply with the requirements of military regulations, orders of commanders and superiors. I swear to fulfill my military duty with dignity, to courageously defend the freedom, independence and constitutional system of Russia, the people and the Fatherland.”

The procedure for taking the military oath is set out in the Charter of the Internal Service of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. This ritual is carried out as follows: At the time appointed by the commander, the military unit with the Battle Banner and the State Flag of the Russian Federation, with an orchestra, lines up on foot in the front line, and in wartime in field uniform with weapons. Military personnel taking the military oath are in the first ranks. The commander of the military unit, in a short speech, reminds them of the meaning of the military oath and the honorable and responsible duty that is assigned to them.

If you have the opportunity to come to the Oath, go without hesitation. Believe me, he will appreciate it and will be the happiest fighter in the world. He desperately needs your visit!
How much pride he will have to flaunt in front of the person he loves, MOM, all those qualities that he managed to acquire during the period of training for the Oath.

We are going to our son for the oath!
Calmly! otherwise it’s difficult to get together, do everything and not forget something....
1. Buy tickets, depending on the number of days you stay there (take it there and back). Here you can see the train schedule, number of seats and ticket prices http://pass.rzd.ru/. You can also order a ticket.

Or here you can choose several travel options - http://rasp.yandex.ru/

2. At the same time, search for housing (there are hotels and hostels, discover the city, go to hotels, look at the prices, decide how much you can spend for two, for how many days. Have you decided? Book online, there will be a discount if rooms are available, of course!) Find out , maybe local residents rent out housing
3. I need money with me (to feed myself, buy something for my son). You can buy everything, including sweets, in the city where the service is taking place, so as not to carry heavy burdens.
4. Take your son’s civilian belongings (if the delay is 2-3 days.) In many units, they are allowed to stay only on the territory of the town or unit. Then you won't need civilian clothes. What will you wear in the room? Slippers, sweatpants
5. Take the documents! Passport and some other document, well honey. book or driver's license, or medical certificate. a policy or something... to leave him in the unit on bail, otherwise they won’t hand him over to his son. Don't leave your passport, it will be needed for the hotel. You can first check into a hotel, leave your things, and then go to your son’s unit.
6. Equipment is needed. A camera or video camera, spare batteries for them (they run out in the cold...) or a mobile phone with a camera. Charging cords - don't forget. You can take a laptop so he can chat with friends. Take a photo of him, his fellow soldiers nearby, the city, the unit. All this is very valuable! For memory!
7. Keep in mind that you will have to stand on the parade ground for about an hour, dress for the weather. Don't forget about shoes, take comfortable ones.
8. Please your son. You can ask his friends to drop letters for him in your mailbox. Show your son, he will be happy. Bring some family photos with you.
9. Buy him a cheap phone (if he doesn’t have one) and a local SIM card, put money on it.
10. If you are not staying as a guest. - take 1-2 towels and a washcloth for your son, let him enjoy the wash slowly. Maybe a couple of pillowcases...you never know...decide for yourself depending on the situation.

An approximate list of things that can be brought to the oath:
1) Soap and soap accessories: soap (cheap, don’t take expensive ones, it will run out), a washcloth. toothpaste, brush, disposable razors (several) before and after shaving cream in tubes
2) Black socks (simple and warm, if allowed to be worn in the unit, this is not possible everywhere)
3) Laces for ankle boots, because wear out.
4) White, black, khaki threads, needles, hemming (white fabric for collars, or ordinary white calico).
5) Ointment for feet (because your feet wear out a lot in the first months of service. You can ask the pharmacy for any ointment for healing calluses and fungus on the feet. “Rescuer” ointment helps a lot).
6) Hand cream.
7) Adhesive plaster (roll and ready-cut).
8) Shoe polish with brush.
9) Clothes brush.
10) Clipper (nail clipper for hands and feet, you can take two - separately for hands, or you can take just one large one).
11) The calendar is small. They celebrate days of service.
12) Wrist watches (the cheapest and simplest, you can even use electronic ones). If allowed.
13) Sneakers (sneakers) for physical training (also, the simpler and lighter the better).
15) The gloves are warm.
16) Knitted hat at the shooting range.
17) Warm insoles.
18) Pens (several, usually three – with black and blue refills, not helium, simple)
19) Notebook, notebook or notepad
20) A general notebook (or several thin ones, this is different for everyone)
21) Pins and needles with round eyes
22) Additional charging for your phone.

Additionally, you can grab:
A set of medicines: for a runny nose, for a cough, for a fever, for mosquitoes, for indigestion (you don’t get used to army food right away), for calluses (the list can be expanded and supplemented). And vitamins, of course! If a company commander or another commander agrees to meet you, then you can give these medicines to him for storage for the time being. Otherwise we know these medical units with their brilliant green and bandages. Yes, there are few medicines in the units. Soldiers are prohibited from having medicines and various pills for personal use - according to the Charter. This is because one of the soldiers may misuse the medications, which will lead to complications.

Medicines are purchased by commanders as prescribed by doctors (this is not by law, but because now there is such a supply in the army and commanders have to think about purchasing medicines, although, of course, medicines should be supplied by the state), so it is better to find out from your son what the doctor prescribed for him and send this medicine. In different parts everything happens differently. And of course all sorts of sweets, the best sweets are caramel so that they last a long time. It is advisable to additionally call your recruit to find out what a soldier can and cannot have in the barracks. The list is not complete, because The requirements are different in different parts. Panthenol ointment helps heal calluses and also restores skin tissue. So we won’t replace it for abrasions, cuts, or bruises.

Although don’t bring too much to the oath. When they are disbanded, in a new place while they wash together, the thing-bags are magically emptied. So look at things soberly - don't overdo it.
The year has already passed!
Then, after the oath, the understanding will come that A YEAR IS ALREADY COMING. People around me talk and say that a year is not enough. Just ONE year. But they don’t know what this external calm, good mood, smile on your lips costs you, when you don’t receive news from your fighter, you don’t know what’s wrong with him, whether he’s healthy, and how he’s doing in general.

Starting the countdown, you understand that the numbers in the “standby mode” are increasing, maintaining the significance of the period, and you are no longer facing a year, but 11.10 months... And at first they drag on very, very slowly. But life doesn’t end there; you have to find a balance between constant worry for your soldier and the events that are happening around you.
You will get used to letters and rare phone calls, when after thousands of kilometers you hear your own voice through the crackling noise and sigh with relief: “Everything is fine.”

Without letting go of the phone, turning it on at full volume, you wait... You put it every night next to your pillow, you wait... Every day - morning and evening - you check your mailbox, you wait... You wait for this time to fly by, like a fast bird, but days drag on after days... You wait... When will it call, when will you hear that familiar voice... And here comes the call: you run to the phone, knocking everything under your feet, and He’s on the phone... And the connection out of spite he interferes with the conversation, he says that everything is fine here so you don’t worry...

He's in the army, not in a pioneer camp! Calm down, learn to wait. The phone is now just an extension of your hand.
Every soldier should have reference material in his pocket with an extract from the criminal code and hotlines... The soldier also has a reminder in his pocket on how to act in critical situations...

Everyone waiting is a little different... from a different test... until recently they were like everyone else - ordinary, but now they are different... They often live in two time zones at the same time... they care about the weather not only in their city, but also in one thing... mothers don’t swear when their son calls in the middle of the night... On the contrary, they are incredibly happy about it.
Here is my son’s answer to his mother’s question about the decent part.

“MOM, YOU UNDERSTAND, YOUR CONCEPT OF A DECENT PART IS ONE, OURS IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT, FOR YOU WOMEN, WHAT IS THE MAIN THING? TO BE FEED ON TIME AND TASTY, TO BE DRESSED IN A UNIFORM THAT IS SIZED, SO THAT MY BOY GET A SLEEP, GOD FORbid MY CHILD GET TIRED OR SICK, AH, MY BOY WAS HITTED!!! Believe me, MOMMY, THIS IS SUCH Nonsense, SUCH THINGS... FOR EXAMPLE, A SERGEANT ORDERED TO CLEAN OUT THE GUCKET, THE ORDER WAS NOT FOLLOWED, OR THEY CLEANED BADLY, AFTER THIS A FIRE STARTS (ALL THE FURNITURE IS TAKEN OUT FROM THE BUCKLEM TO THE PARKING PLACE AND EVERYTHING IS WASHED HIGHLY, BY TOM EVERYTHING IS PUSHING BACK ) WHO IS GUILTY?
-NOT A SERGEANT, BUT THOSE WHO HAVE A THING TO CLEAN, MOM WILL CLEAN THE HOME FOR HIM, AND HERE NOBODY SHOULD DO THIS FOR HIM, AND THAT'S CORRECT, WHO UNDERSTANDS THIS THE FIRST TIME IS WELL DONE, AND THOSE WHO ARE NOT, MAY BE SLAPPED IN THE FACE YOU CAN GET CO-WORKERS, BUT THAT'S THE WORK!!! HE JUST DOESN'T UNDERSTAND ANY OTHER WAY...

AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR ME IS THAT I LEARNED A LOT HERE, AND NOW IF THERE IS A GENERAL MOBILIZATION, I KNOW THAT I CAN GET IN A TANK AND DEFEND YOU, MY CITY, MY COUNTRY. I DON’T KNOW HOW IT’S LIKE IN OTHER UNITS, BUT WE TEACH MILITARY SPECIALTIES BETTER THAN IN THE TRAINING, BUT AGAIN - THEY STUDY THOSE WHO WANT TO LEARN SOMETHING, AND FOR WHOM EVERYTHING IS PARALLEL. HE USUALLY WHINES THAT THERE IS NOTHING TO DO HERE, IS SICK, ETC. AND SO ON.

THE HARDEST TIME AT FIRST IS TO STOP THINKING ABOUT HOME ALL THE TIME, YOU NEED TO LEARN TO SPEND THIS YEAR BENEFITIVELY FOR YOURSELF, NOT TO LOSE YOUR OPINION AND LEARN TO DEFEND IT. IT IS WORTH ONCE ONE TIME, AT THE VERY BEGINNING, TO SHOW WEAKNESS OR FEAR, THAT'S ALL... YOU WILL BE BREAKED, OR RATHER YOU WILL BE BROKEN... I was SURPRISED THAT AT KMB, SOME GUYS FROM OUR CALL OUT OF THE FEAR THAT THEY WOULD BE HITTED BY THEIR GRANDFATHERS OR DAGIANS, THEMSELVES STARTED TO SIX... AND WHO ARE THEM WILL THERE BE RESPECT AFTER THIS?

AS OUR PLATON LEAD SAYS: IF YOU ARE STUPID, THEN I WILL BE STUPID!!!

IN SHORT, THE GOOD PART IS WHEN THEY FOOL YOU ARE TAUGHT IN MILITARY WHEN YOU ARE BUSY AT WORK, AND BELIEVE YOU, THE COMMAND TREATS YOU WELL AND THE GUYS TOO...

IN SHORT, YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND WHERE YOU ARE AND WHY. BUT I WILL SAY THAT NOT EVERYONE SHOULD BE TAKEN INTO THE ARMY, BUT ONLY THOSE WHO ARE PSYCHOLOGICALLY READY, BUT THIS DOESN’T DEPEND ON US..

AND IN GENERAL, MOM, YOU SAID CORRECTLY, EVERYTHING COMES FROM THE FAMILY, HOW WE WERE RAISED, SO WE BEHAVIOR OURSELVES IN ONE SITUATION OR ANOTHER.”

Parcels for my son in the Army.
When sending a parcel to your son in the army, know and accept one feature of military parcels: you are sending not to your son personally, but to all his comrades. And what will your son, especially in the first months of his service, get... Do you think it’s unfair? But this is only from a civilian point of view. And a close male team has its own rules, its own laws. Send small parcels more often. You can track the movement of a parcel or registered letter on the post office website. You need to enter the number from the mail receipt that appears after the receipt number, usually starting with the zip code numbers of your city.

MONEY.
Don't send money in letters. Inexplicably, the letters containing the banknote get lost along the way. Don't send a lot of money, especially in the first six months.
Money in the army is the cause of most conflicts. The son may not get sweets, but he will also avoid nasty things. The most popular banknote is the 50-ruble note. If you have such a sum on hand, you can give it to the city with a delivery boy, order cigarettes and gingerbread.

THE RIGHT THINGS:
- hemming (in military stores there are ready-made collar collars, some mothers sew them themselves, you can just use white calico, just a sheet)
-threads white, black, khaki
-needles 1 - 2 packs
- laces for ankle boots 1.5 m.
-notebook, notepad, pens
-for shaving: machines, cream or gel
-nail clippers
-toothpaste, brush
-simple, wet, antibactericidal wipes
-toilet paper
-cigarettes, lighters (even if you don’t smoke you can send them, it will please your friends and you can exchange anything you need for cigarettes there, you can ask for a phone number to call.)
-shoe brushes 2 pcs. (one is used to clean off dirt, the other is used for cream)
-GOI paste (ask in hardware stores, it’s green. The guys use it to clean plaques.

FROM MEDICINES:
-various adhesive plaster
-ointment for fungus
- complex vitamins, vitamins A, E
-tablets: for cough, for sore throat, for headache (and tablets and vitamins in flat packaging)
-Activated carbon

FOOD
- tea, coffee in bags
-different candies, more sucking ones
-cookies, waffles, rolls
- in soft packaging, jams, preserves are also in soft packaging.
- Snickers bars

Now the younger generation does not know pioneer, military, or combat songs. And the team is in the ranks: “Sing!” puts young fighters into a stupor. They don't know the songs! But the command must be followed, otherwise they will just walk in formation, silently “from the fence until lunch.” The texts of military marching songs printed from the Internet and copied on several sheets of paper will be very useful. For the whole company. You can send books.
By communicating on forums, you will learn more specifically what needs to be sent. Ask your soldier what he wants...

In the New Year's packages, I also sent New Year's caps, a small set of Santa Claus... They really want a holiday... They prepare skits themselves. All your imagination will be useful to you.

Mom in the Army:)
During this year, you will learn who the “buyers” are, what “training” is, how the oath is taken, what the orderly shouts in a scary voice on the nightstand (and why on the nightstand? Is he standing on it or sitting?...).
-What does it take to be released into the uval (if they are released), what types of troops are there in our Red Army...
-You will learn what a distributor is, what stripes, chevrons, badges, hemming, hemming, beluga are... that in addition to boots they wear ankle boots, that they steal everything... they steal everything that is not nailed down, and even nailed down is not a problem, they will steal anyway...
...that they like to feed fish and pearl barley, perhaps someone has fallen in love or will love it in a year :)))
- that all the guys get sick, some too severely... chickenpox is the most common army disease...
...that you carry tons there and send food in parcels, transfer millions of money, pay for other people’s telephone calls...
-that your children can be very reserved, they won’t say too much, but you, mothers, can only guess about the true things...
- Well, and not the least - what our sons learned - to work with shovels in any weather conditions, to peel vegetables (well, whoever was lucky enough).

And you also realized that when the time of deployment comes, you again begin to worry, get nervous and worry, like on the day of conscription...
I know what feelings have overwhelmed and are overwhelming many of you, especially the new ones; I know how bad it was when the day of conscription came for your boys, and therefore for you; I know that you haven’t found a place for yourself and are still looking for it; I know everything because I went through it myself, and didn’t listen to stories on a bench about how great it is in the army. I remember how I came home completely devastated after seeing my son off in the morning.

I remember how my hands shook when my son made the first call from someone else’s phone (they didn’t give me his own because...) from the station. I remember how I couldn’t really ask anything, because my thoughts were confused and jumped from one thing to another. For a long time my hands were shaking and my thoughts were confused

I wish you all to wait for your soldiers safe and sound, calm and balanced, patient and caring, mature and self-confident. Beautiful, kind, decent. Cheerful, cheerful, brave.

And most importantly, this year they will definitely understand how dear Mom is to them!
How dear their family is!
How precious is love for them!
How precious are relationships!

It is at this moment in time, when you are reading this text, that we are protected and guarded by thousands of soldiers, including your son!!! EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE!!!

Information from here -

- this is an oath, a solemn promise that a citizen makes when joining the ranks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The text of the military oath is filled with deep meaning, which forms the basis of military service. It was approved by the Federal Law of 1998 “On Military Duty and Military Service” No. 53 Federal Law of February 11, 1993.

Before the ghost of the military oath

  • a serviceman cannot be involved in combat missions, as well as tasks during the introduction of a state of emergency and in armed conflicts;
  • Weapons and military equipment cannot be assigned to military personnel;
  • A disciplinary sanction in the form of arrest cannot be imposed on a military serviceman.

Text of the military oath

I, (last name, first name, patronymic) solemnly swear allegiance to my Fatherland - the Russian Federation. I swear to sacredly observe the Constitution of the Russian Federation, strictly comply with the requirements of military regulations, orders of commanders and superiors. I swear to fulfill my military duty with dignity, to courageously defend the freedom, independence and constitutional system of Russia, the people and the Fatherland.

Preparing for the military oath

The day of the military oath has always been a holiday in the military unit. As a rule, military personnel find out the date of this solemn day in advance. This is very convenient for timely notification of your family and friends so that they can organize a meeting. Within just a couple of weeks, military personnel begin to conduct drill training sessions with training in drill techniques with weapons. They are taught how to approach the boss correctly and in which hand to take the folder with the text of the military oath. Text of the military oath it is necessary to know it by heart, so that under the happy gaze of parents and flashes of photos, their child does not stutter and look for the text. I personally observed such moments when a soldier stumbled and his hands trembled. The feeling of insecurity and lack of drill training and desire to be in shape is noticeable from the outside, even to parents. Of course, these minor shortcomings do not at all overshadow the ritual of taking the oath, but it is still worth preparing for it.

Then, in a few days, they form lists of those being dismissed. As a rule, unit commanders are more loyal to military personnel on this day, and try to give soldiers and their parents the opportunity to rest as much as possible. Although, if there is a compelling argument for a particular serviceman to leave him at the company’s location, then most likely he will be located on the territory of the military unit. This can be caused by a gross violation of military discipline or personal indiscipline. Therefore, I recommend contacting your company commander or platoon commander a week in advance and inquiring about your son's service. When talking with commanders, it would be a good idea to ask about dismissal and the possibility of seeing each other on the day of taking the military oath.

Military oath ritual

On the day of the military oath, military personnel follow a separate daily routine. After getting up in the morning, the whole unit goes to breakfast. After eating, the soldiers go to receive AK-74 combat weapons and then, as a rule, the commanders conduct a drill review of clothing, weapons and instructions.

The location of the military oath is approved by the commander of the military unit. It can be carried out both on the parade ground and in a company unit, or in an officer’s house, if one exists. This depends on the number of personnel taking the oath and also on the weather.

Taking the military oath on the parade ground

Before the ritual itself, parents, relatives and acquaintances begin to be allowed into the military unit. As a rule, this is an open day, and no passes to the unit’s territory are issued. Next, parents are designated a place from where they can watch and take photos and videos. However, no direct communication with military personnel during the ritual of the military oath itself is allowed.

All participants in taking the military oath are lined up by platoon on the parade ground. Next, the military banner of the military unit is brought out, which is its official symbol and relic.

Military banner of a military unit

After the introductory speech by the commander of the military unit, the command “Proceed with the military oath” is given. Next, the serviceman takes a military oath and reads the text of the military oath in front of the State Flag of Russia and the battle flag of the military unit. After taking the oath, a note is made in the military ID and service record card of the serviceman: “Took the military oath (day, month, year).”

Organization of dismissal and leisure

At the end, parents will be invited to go to the company location and see the life and everyday life of the soldiers. Of course, many are interested in what conditions their children live in, so I strongly recommend not to miss this opportunity. Next, instructions are given before leaving for dismissal. Servicemen who remain at the company location are provided with a festive lunch and the opportunity to relax at their own discretion. In the army, this concept includes watching films, working out in the sports room, or reading literature.

I would like to add that only those whose parents have come to see them will be released! Not a girl, not an acquaintance or classmate, but parents. This is connected, of course, with the responsibility that officers take on. No one needs to look for problems for themselves on this day, neither soldier nor officer. There are many known cases when soldiers ran away without permission, drank alcohol and, to celebrate, started fights in the city while intoxicated. Therefore, now soldiers are released on overnight leave only with a receipt, which is written exclusively by the parents.

While preparing material for the next lesson in 11th grade on life safety, in order to diversify the material, I decided to follow the progress of changes in the text of the military oath in Russia since the beginning of the century.

The oath in the army is a real event for recruits. It is a ceremonial, solemn oath that every citizen entering the service must take. So, we should talk in more detail about this process itself.

What's the point?

Such a procedure as taking an oath in the army dates back to ancient times. Since ancient times, a person entering the service had to go through this. And this was not only the case in Russia. The military oath exists in many countries of the world. Of course, the content is specific, as are the rituals and traditions regarding its acceptance. It all depends on the customs of a particular country and the essence of the state system. But the meaning, be that as it may, is the same in all cases. The oath in the army is given by a recruit as a solemn oath of allegiance to his state.

The text of the oath has been rewritten more than once. And in the modern edition it is as short and succinct as possible. The first thing the recruit must say is the following phrase: “I (full name) solemnly swear allegiance to my Fatherland - the Russian Federation.” And then - according to the established text. It should be known well, but, as a rule, no one memorizes it. Because future fighters are given folders (usually red) that contain text. In principle, the point is that the future soldier swears to comply with the Constitution of the state, as well as strictly follow all orders of the commanders. And of course, fulfill your military duty and defend the freedom of the Motherland. In order for a soldier to take on these responsibilities, there is an oath in the army. The text of the oath must be given to soldiers for review.

How is the celebration going?

So, the oath in the army takes place on a certain day, at a specific time. Usually early in the morning (around 9 o'clock). The military unit must line up on the parade ground (on foot). On this day, all recruits put on a dress uniform and take weapons. There should also be an orchestra on the parade ground. When the celebration begins, the military banner of the unit, as well as the flag of the state, is brought to the parade ground. The military personnel who will have to take the oath are always lined up in the first ranks. Before the ceremony begins, the commander of the military unit speaks. Usually he reminds all recruits that they are now given a very responsible and at the same time honorable duty - to take an oath to their Fatherland. After a short speech, the recruits begin to be called, one by one, of course. Everyone breaks ranks, reads out the text of the oath, and then signs on a list prepared in advance next to their own name. Basically, that's all. After this procedure, the recruit returns to duty, and the next one is called.

When everything is over, the commander of the military unit says words of congratulations. Speeches can also be given by guests - veterans or officials (usually representatives of local authorities). In conclusion, the anthem of the Russian Federation is played by the orchestra. After this, the military unit in its entirety marches along the parade ground in a solemn march.

After the oath

When the celebration ends, the soldiers are given free time to spend with their parents and loved ones. The day on which the oath takes place is considered a day off in the army. Usually, recruits are also given leave for the next two days. Relatives are allowed to take the oath, but be sure to take your passport with you. In some units, however, everything is too strict: only parents and those people who came with them (friends, a soldier’s girlfriend, etc.) can come to the celebration.

Unfortunately, there is one caveat. If the parents did not come to the celebration, then the soldier would not be given leave and he would have to stay on the territory of the unit for two days, which could have been weekends.

Important information

Let's briefly talk about some other aspects that every person should know about. For example, here is a question that interests many: how long does it take to take the oath in the army? Usually within a month, but sometimes it happens earlier. However, before this event takes place, the soldier must complete the so-called young fighter course. This is the very first period of military service. During it, soldiers acquire initial military experience. Recruits must undergo a course of general physical training, study safety precautions, as well as regulations. Soldiers are also trained to fire a machine gun. They often take a professional course in their specialty. For example, an aircraft mechanic, a radar operator, a gunner, a radio operator, etc.

It is interesting that foreigners who enter the RF Armed Forces under a contract are not called to take the oath. That is, they do not take an oath of allegiance to the Russian Federation. They only accept the obligation to comply with the charter of the Constitution, as well as the orders of commanders.

In general, this event is definitely important for every recruit. It is very good that it still has a solemn character even in our days, when they try to reduce everything to formality.
