Iphone 7 plus operating experience. sectarian affairs. There are no other normal leather cases

“Every year Lyapota writes material on the same topic - how he bought an iPhone.” This is exactly the content that should be the first comment on this note, so I made it easier for you and left it even earlier. That's it, now I'll tell you about mine new iPhone 7Plus. This is my first Plus, so the material promises to be interesting. Moreover, I am often asked how it is, whether it is very inconvenient, what are the advantages, why, and so on. In this same material I will share what accessories I purchased immediately, without leaving the checkout, so to speak. In general, a short experience, impressions and advice. Everything you love!

Video of operating experience and impressions

I'll start with why I freaked out and took the Plus and not the regular version. There are many reasons, both direct and indirect. I’ll start with the direct ones: the 7 Plus itself, in comparison with the simple “seven”, is much more advanced, this difference is much more significant than a year and two years ago. It used to be like: if you want a big screen, take Plus, if you want compact smartphone- take the regular one. The difference between them was precisely in the dimensions of the case and the diagonal of the display. Yes, the “plus” versions received in addition greater battery life and optical camera stabilization, but these were all changes. And, let’s be honest, they are not critical, which is why last year I preferred the 6s, because it is more adapted for humans. Although last year I initially wanted to take the larger version, but after the review I changed my mind - it was too inconvenient.

But this year I had no options, I knew for sure that I would have to put up with the dimensions. The 7 Plus has better not only autonomy, but also random access memory not 2, but 3 GB, and not two, but three cameras. And lastly - this is the most important thing - I think that the iPhone has a second camera - this is perhaps the best thing that has happened to cameras in smartphones.

Yes, it is said very loudly, but I will try to explain. The quality of photography and video shooting should become better as technology develops. Therefore, I cannot call the slightly improved shooting quality in some new smartphone a revolution - this is logical. You also need to understand that all top smartphones today take good pictures. Some are better in the dark, some in bright sun, some are better at writing videos, but the difference is very small. With at least a little straight hands, you will get good results on any flagship (and not so flagship) smartphone. But portraits with an equivalent focal length of 56 mm are something completely new. For the first time we can see a non-wide-angle picture on the screen. To put it simply – a twofold zoom, which is achieved here by using a second lens, and not digital zoom, as before.

B, but I couldn’t appreciate all the charm then. I only had the smartphone in my hands for a few days, since sales had just started at that time, and I was in a hurry to do what I could. Therefore, yes, the approach was visible, but the real benefit of it became obvious only now. In addition, during the review, I discovered that the standard camera application does not use the portrait lens if you are shooting in a dark room. ABOUT . Now I found out that in third-party applications, like ProCamera, for example, the second camera can be turned on forcibly and it will work even in poor lighting. In the same application, you can take photos in raw, after which they can be processed in Snapseed, for example. Or even in the desktop editor.

Actually, all my delight lies in the two things already mentioned: the 56mm lens and shooting in raw. What does this portrait give us? In fact, the ability to take photos with less distortion or distortion of lines at the edges, as well as shoot in full resolution and without losing the quality of distant objects. Now you can take portraits without facial distortion, shoot cars, and so on. Of course, we can say that such a portrait lens should also contribute to better blurring of the background, but the difference in aperture ratio of more than one stop, as well as a smaller matrix, do not make it possible to separate the object from the background. Only very nearby objects are blurred, as can be seen from the photo above.

And shooting in raw is a separate issue. I took a whole photoset of the car for a short test drive in raw using a 56mm lens, after which I threw them onto the computer and started processing them in Lightroom. And then I saw what the raw iPhone photo was made of, and you have to work sooooo much with it. I won’t say that I coped with the task at least 30%, but you can take photographs, they were all taken on the 7 Plus. But in the example below you can see how clouds and even trees stretch out from a completely overexposed sky.

To summarize about the camera, most likely, it is important that the second camera appeared in the iPhone in principle, because now they have practically no way back and they will have to develop the quality of both the main and the second main camera. I said the same thing about slow motion when it appeared in the iPhone 5s, apparently. Once it appeared, it should get better over time, and over time we saw not only 120 fps in full hd, but also 240 fps in hd. Now we are waiting for a slightly improved aperture ratio, an enlarged matrix, and so on. But it definitely won't get worse.

On the smartphone itself. I was sure that it would be completely uncomfortable and was ready to put up with everything. Most likely, it is precisely because of low expectations that I do not experience any problems in using it, one might even say that now I am comfortable using it. Of course, if all the same things were in the iPhone 7, I would have bought it, but now I have fully felt the advantages of a large diagonal: watching videos is much more pleasant, I have become a virtuoso at the drums, but I can hardly play “tanks” no more convenient than on a tablet, since a smartphone is still more convenient to hold. In addition, I noticed that the extra 0.8″ allows me to open the laptop much less often. I am increasingly answering emails, chatting and doing other work using my iPhone. Therefore, this is the first fact in favor of Plus.

Second, I received a very cool watch, which I recently told you about in detail. Now I no longer need to run with a smartphone, I will only run with a watch, because it already has GPS and all the necessary sensors. Accordingly, one of my main questions regarding dimensions has disappeared. Although I did run a few workouts with the iPhone 7 Plus and I must say that it is not annoying in my pocket, but in the summer it would be stressful to hold it in my hands for the entire 10 km.

By the way, I liked the horizontal interface mode, available only in Plus models

I won’t invent any other cases, I’ll go straight to one of the main advantages of the 7 Plus – autonomy. It's really cosmic. Seriously, I am a person who always, under any circumstances, whines about autonomy in smartphones; it never suits me. But here it’s not something that suits me, even on a difficult day my smartphone easily survives until the evening, and on an ordinary day there is still 40-50 percent left.

It’s not for nothing that Phonearena 7 Plus took first place in the test for autonomy from the resource. I expected a lot, but definitely not such a good battery. I literally don’t worry when I need to turn on the navigator, or when I want to watch a battle in “tanks” - the smartphone will definitely survive until the evening!

After I got acquainted with UAG cases a year ago, it’s difficult for me to work with others; I always want the best. I don’t mind testing something else, especially if my friends recommend it to me, but I’m not going to switch to other cases. At least, if something very good doesn’t appear, and if it does, I’ll tell you. Actually, that’s how I became acquainted with UAG products - a friend simply wrote to me and suggested that I try them out, since he had been using them for many years. And now, having purchased the iPhone 7 Plus, even before it came to me, I acquired a UAG case, like this. It is relatively inexpensive, quite compact for a protective case, and looks stylish, albeit brutal. But design is a matter of taste; some may find it too unrestrained.

For me, the most important thing is that the case completely protects the smartphone from external influences from all sides. Even if he falls, most likely nothing will happen to him, here. And since the likelihood of even accidentally dropping the 7 Plus is much greater, I don’t consider carrying a smartphone without a case at all.

And a little about the film on the display. I won’t talk about brands, or indeed about whether it needs to be glued. I’m gluing and that’s it, if it bothers anyone, don’t glue. I’ll just tell you why not glass, because it’s much more “cool”! I’ve been gluing films for several years now and purchasing various accessories from my friends – the iWorld.ua store, where I immediately went with the new 7 Plus. But, since the model was new and expensive, there were no rogue films, there were only glasses. By the way, neither films nor glasses from 6s Plus are suitable, don’t even try, it’s all about wider dynamics. So, there were no films, but they advised me to go with glass, they say, I’ll try it once and won’t refuse again, films suck. They glued me the coolest Baseus glass, very thin, high quality... And a week later I changed their glass to film. What don't I like about glass? No matter how thin it is, it is still thick. The home button turns out to be very deep, it is difficult to unlock the smartphone, and moving the interface down with a double tap is generally unrealistic. The front camera is not cut out in the glass, so the picture deteriorates a little, no matter how you look at it. The picture itself becomes more distant from the surface and from the finger, there is no effect as if you are touching the icon. 3D Touch works much worse, which is logical. The smartphone feels thick and all this made me wildly angry every day. Therefore, I was once again convinced: glass is a redneck, it’s like Sparco mud flaps on a car. The film deteriorates faster (scratches), but does not affect the experience of using the smartphone.

Do I miss the 3.5mm jack? As planned - no. I have actually been using this exclusively for several years now. wireless headphones and speakers. I recently bought Jaybirds X2 (and a couple of days later the X3 came out), and I use them at the stadium. For comfort and good sound I have ah. There hasn’t been a single case in a month where I stuck my mini-jack into nowhere.

But the sound from the speakers pleased me, even very much. Still, stereo sound in a smartphone is only needed when it is spaced on different sides. Of course, this is not ZTE Axon 7 at all, its speakers sound much louder and cooler, but it is also much better than it was before.

I've seen several reviews about the iPhone 7's GPS falling off. Everything works like clockwork for me. As with all previous iPhones. People will just ask me about it, so I decided to write right away.

Somehow, with all these stories, I didn’t talk about the color and version. Even during the review of the 7 Plus, I said that you need to take one of the black versions. Since Apple has practically not changed the design of the case, in others iPhone colors looks exactly the same as before. The black colors somehow distinguish the new product. I chose matte because I love practicality. I decided to take the maximum version of 256 GB. There are no excuses, I just decided to take the maximum version.

Looking at the fact that Apple is beginning to divide its smartphone lines not only by size, but also by characteristics, I will most likely buy the larger versions in the future. They have too many advantages, among which the main ones are autonomy and camera. These are my impressions and first user experience of the new smartphone. If you have any questions, I will be happy to answer them!

With security on desktop macOS. Maybe it's time for Android? We spent a year with the iPhone 7 and are ready to tell the whole truth about it. Although the smartphone was introduced back in the fall of 2016, it is still a current model. In addition, Apple recently announced the release of “refs” - devices using used components, but in new cases and with an official guarantee. This means that the price will become even more attractive, especially compared to the expensive iPhone 8 and iPhone X.

Specifically, I’ve been using the iPhone 7 for a year, but in general I haven’t parted with iPhones for about nine years. Though Apple technology and is considered reliable, but something happened to every smartphone over the course of 2-2.5 years: on the 3G the case cracked at the bottom near the connector, on the 4S the charge level indicator stuck (it resolved on its own after a few days), on the 5S the power button stuck twice and the glass in the corner came off a little. “Seven” also causes trouble, but of a completely different kind.

Design and usability

It took Apple several years to get the back cover design right. The disgusting stripes on the iPhone 6 and still hurt my eyes. It's funny, but this was one of the reasons for refusing to buy the 6S - after all, the device should be aesthetically pleasing. The iPhone 7 is in order in this regard, and a full-fledged black color has appeared. Before purchasing, I almost chose the iPhone 7 Plus, realizing at the last moment that changing my wardrobe for the sake of a smartphone was too much. The 5.5-inch hulk won’t fit into any jeans pocket, and a men’s clutch is an overly outrageous accessory; in the alley, they might even ask for it.

In any case, the decision was definitely the right one: several times I caught the iPhone 7 literally in flight, and the Plus version would definitely have crashed onto the asphalt, tiles or parquet on the very first day. The body is incredibly slippery. This is especially unusual in the first month and a half. With the 5S, of course, there was no such problem: firstly, the 4-inch smartphone can be confidently picked up with one hand, and secondly, its edges are straight and not rounded.

For some reason, Apple still hasn't introduced an iPhone with dual SIM cards. When traveling you have to either take a paperclip or improvise

However, even despite careful handling, scratches, chips and abrasions appear on the smartphone. A logical solution would be to buy a cover and film, but it’s like walking down the street in shoe covers so as not to get the soles of your shoes dirty. The origin of some of the chips remained a mystery: the smartphone did not fall on hard surfaces, nor was it scattered across a table with grains of sand.

In terms of ergonomics, there is only one miscalculation, and it remained from the days of the iPhone 6 (safely transferred to the iPhone 8) - the body is practically the same. When the smartphone is lying on the table, when you press the lock button, you often touch the volume up key - they are located on different sides at the same height.

And how much criticism there was when abandoning the 3.5 mm jack! In fact, there is no tragedy: the cables get caught on clothes, break, and get tangled. The problem can be solved by purchasing Bluetooth headphones - freedom from wires is difficult to overestimate. Well, as a last resort, there is a minijack - Lightning adapter in the box.

What made me happy

This is the first Apple smartphone with water resistance. The IP67 standard allows a smartphone to remain at a meter depth for thirty minutes - you’ll barely have time to catch anything from the bottom of the paddling pool. Protection from water came in handy: once I was passing a smartphone across the table, and the iPhone fell (I told you it was slippery) right into a glass of soda. There was nothing left to lose: I had to rinse it in running water. The smartphone showed no signs of concern. The main thing is not to charge your iPhone until it is completely dry.

The device has lost a physical Home button, but if you don’t know, you won’t understand it right away. The Taptic Engine works wonders: the tactile feedback is simply perfect - it gives the impression that the key is being pressed under your finger. The same applies to vibration feedback: the smartphone seems to be pushed. This cannot be compared with the vibration in other devices. Plus small features like the Taptic Engine triggering when you set an alarm: it’s like winding a mechanical watch.

There are rumors that one of the future iPhones will lose 3D Touch. The attitude towards technology is twofold: it is convenient, but not at all necessary. The functionality takes some getting used to. At first you want to open applications as usual, and only over time you train yourself to use a strong press on the display to quickly access functions. But then it’s hard to give up 3D Touch.

Another thing that is fantastically convenient is the screen turning on when you pick up the smartphone. There is no need to activate and turn off the display with a button: you lift the device to a natural angle at which you look at the screen, and it lights up on its own. You put it on the table and it goes out almost immediately. The function works almost flawlessly.

the main problem

I foresee a lot of ridicule, but there are benefits to slowing down your iPhone. The smartphone turned off even at near-zero temperatures: this usually happened when 15-20% of the charge remained. As soon as the device warmed up, it could be turned on again. The gadget simply froze, which was quite annoying. After installation iOS updates With the function of forced slowdown of the smartphone, this problem disappeared: the iPhone honestly works up to 1% in any weather. Although in severe frost the battery runs out very quickly.

The battery is generally the main problem with the iPhone 7. The charge lasts from morning until late evening, no more. Wi-Fi and GPS, notifications from instant messengers, social networks, mail and a number of applications are always turned on. Of course, you can deactivate everything, but then what is the point of a smartphone?

Calls are made rarely, 90% of use is instant messengers, mail and reading news feeds. There were situations when the iPhone asked to be charged by one o'clock in the afternoon. But the scenarios were also voracious: mapping services, YouTube videos, video calls.

The worst thing is that the “seven” does not support fast charging - the device takes about two hours to replenish the battery (with a measly 1960 mAh capacity) from 0 to 100%. Android smartphones are much more progressive in this regard.

A quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM are naturally enough for GTA and other demanding games, but the iPhone does get hot.

operating system

A year ago I could not even imagine that I would scold operating system. But Apple leaves no choice: iOS 11 is very bad. The company hasn’t been fixing some obvious bugs for six months, but new emojis are steadily appearing in updates, damn them.

So, point one: iMessage periodically breaks down the chronology of incoming and outgoing messages. The message you just received appears above the one you sent earlier. It reaches the point of absurdity: the answer is higher than the question itself. After some time, the messages are placed in the correct order. Moreover, this is not an isolated problem.

Go ahead. For some reason, the volume jumps when playing songs from Apple Music. This does not depend on the headphones, the volume up key is not affected, but sometimes an arbitrary track starts playing at very high tones, and the next one at normal volume. Also, sometimes the music suddenly pauses - so far it's only happened 2-3 times, but it's still unpleasant.

The Handoff function has finally gotten out of hand. It used to work somehow, but now it’s a complete mess. The smartphone and laptop are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, Bluetooth is activated, but the open application icon simply does not appear on the other device. Sometimes, on major holidays, it still occurs.

At the same time, to speed and smoothness iOS work There are no questions: pleasant animation, lightning-fast opening of applications, quick switching between them.

Despite all this disgrace, there is nowhere to go with iOS. Android is not considered for a lot of reasons, besides, switching to another platform will destroy the ecosystem, which you don’t want to do at all because of the convenient synchronization (thank you, although it hasn’t been broken yet) between devices.

Is iPhone 7 still relevant in 2018? Definitely, especially with the advent of “refs”, they will cost adequate money. The current iPhone 8, whatever one may say, is expensive (although it has 64 GB of memory), and iPhone price X is generally beyond reason. In such a situation, the iPhone 7 becomes quite an interesting purchase, especially since it will support new iOS for another three years.

Apple updated leather cases for the iPhone 6s more than a year ago. And in the situation with the iPhone 7, the company continued the traditions of the new line, which turned out excellent (!).

Before this, I simply did not recommend official leather cases for iPhone. They peeled off, frayed and turned into God knows what after just a month of active use.

But today I myself make a conscious choice in their favor.

There are no other normal leather cases

Most of us first saw the “recipe” for producing official Apple leather cases in a book Designed by Apple in California, which Arthur recently showed us.

It’s a pity, but other manufacturers today have never thought of something similar in terms of execution.

Apple not only managed to make the entire case out of leather (no plastic misunderstandings to keep the smartphone inside), but also gave it a nice even color.

The latter, by the way, is achieved through a special secret method with deep penetration of natural dyes into the material.

Yes, this is genuine calf leather of the finest quality.

And there is nothing else to look at on the market for leather cases for iPhone 7. Interesting options are found only in the format of “pockets” and flips. But I myself don’t like them at all.

Every day he gets better

I'm a leather fanatic. Honestly. And I especially like the matte one, which rubs off and becomes more and more vintage every day.

Someday I’ll tell the story of how I regularly order various custom-tailored leather items from local leather workshops. The article may be very interesting.

Yes, such material cannot be called practical. Therefore, I recommend polymer options for replacement - for dirt, physical activity and so on. But!

I am sure that a leather case should be in everyone’s arsenal.

By the way, black and blue ones hardly wear out and remain like new in appearance for a very long time. But here is another trick.

Apple came up with metal buttons

Today, on the case, Apple duplicated the buttons on the side edges of the iPhone case with metallic colors.

In my brown-red version they look like bronze. And with this decision, handling a smartphone has become much more pleasant.

The metal feels pleasantly cool on the hand and the whole case feels more premium.

Plus - I think metal buttons will be more practical in use and will serve its user faithfully much longer than leather ones.

It protects the iPhone 7 well from falls

I like that a small edge protrudes above the screen of the device in the Apple leather case, which allows you to not be afraid to put the smartphone face down.

But this is not the most important thing. The cover turned out to be very soft. So he's great springs when struck.

I have already checked this personally more than once - I dropped my smartphone on the tiles at home and there were no consequences. And I didn’t even expect that a compact leather case was capable of this.

Nevertheless, in situations close to extremes, I still recommend something more serious - I gave a tip at the beginning of the text.

The smartphone inside it will not be scratched

The inside of the Apple leather case is very soft backing, which prevents the device from being scratched.

No, even the plastic accessory itself will not damage the device. But grains of sand and dust inevitably get between it and the body of the device.

They act as an abrasive with great hardness - this is how scratches appear on the smartphone. And the soft material of the case takes the blow.

Official Apple leather cases for iPhone 7 - mine new love, which after two months of aggressive use showed itself to be excellent.

Good afternoon to everyone interested =) By tradition, my review will be from the category of “a woman’s view of a smartphone”, in this post - on Apple iPhone 7 (the previous female look was at the Samsung A3 2017 model - link).

Let me start with the fact that the iPhone 7 is my second Apple phone, the first was the iPhone SE, which I passionately desired and was disappointed in on the day of purchase, because:

  1. It didn’t fit in your hand (it was all sort of thick, with clear edges, angular and cold, SMALL);
  2. The weight was completely inconvenient (too light, it’s not clear at all whether you can hold it in your hand or not);
  3. A small (well, just TINY) screen that made my eyes hurt on the very first day;
  4. It was constantly slowing down (so don't listen to reviewers talking about how good it is inside))

In general, I returned it to the store after a week of use (with iPhones this is completely not an easy procedure, but I did it thanks to a friend’s tip. If anyone finds it useful, write, I’ll share) and I took the same Samsung (link) that I had been using for a little less than a year, after which I returned to Apple again. I studied a lot, realized that I needed a standard screen, better performance than the SE, and, of course, iOS instead of Android.

After looking through a bunch of reviews, reading a sea of reviews (we girls don’t need all these men’s numbers, I didn’t look at them at all), I realized that the 6ka is slow, the 6s is not bad, but there’s no point in taking it, I feel sorry for the money for the 8ka ( not to mention 10k), and decided on the iPhone 7. I have had it in use since February 2, 2018.

Now a little more about the agony of choice.

1. Back cover color:

For me personally, the issue with color was very acute, as for many girls after all appearance matters to us, no matter how you look at it. Because my iPhone SE was “rose gold” color (at that moment I wanted only this and no other), I quickly realized that this color was not mine at all: it is too common and completely girly)) no matter which way you look - every girl has An iPhone in rose gold is not interesting. I really wanted a red smartphone, but I had to overpay several thousand for it, which I didn’t have, so I was faced with the following choice:

  • gold
  • black (space gray)
  • black onyx
  • silver

When I came to the store, all the questions disappeared by themselves, since there was only a seven in the color Silver (silver), which I was incredibly happy about (probably, on a subconscious level I wanted it).

I must say that I am pleased with the color to this day, since for some reason it is found less often than others.

2. Front panel color:

This is also an interesting question: when faced with a white apron in the iPhone SE, I saw how the already small screen from the white frame visually became even smaller... I was afraid to encounter such a problem again, but I categorically did not want to take a black one (like everyone else), looking at versatility. And here I did not regret the choice I made:

  • On a 4.7 screen, the white border is perceived absolutely normally; the screen size is enough for comfortable use of the smartphone. I didn’t notice the white frame from the very beginning of use and I still don’t notice it.
  • The round home button, which distinguishes apple products from any other, is much more visible on a white apron than on a dark one.
  • And in general, the phone always looks fresh.
  • And it's easier to find on the sofa than dark

    3. Memory capacity:

I chose the smallest one that currently exists - 32 GB, because I am well aware that no matter how much space you give us, it will not be enough. I prefer to clean my phone by periodically dumping information onto the computer. This volume is quite enough for me.

Now about the advantages and disadvantages. Let's start with the advantages.

    1. Appearance:

Well what can I say? Beautiful! True, the black one looks a little more rounded than the white one, but overall, both are good. The dark gray edging (antennas) doesn’t bother me at all, I take it for granted, as a design feature, and I don’t understand the hype around the even more noticeable antennas on the iPhone 6s (for me, there’s nothing wrong with them).

    • On the front panel: home button (mine has a silver edge, the rose gold one has a gold edge), speaker, front camera (7MP), proximity sensor

    • Left: volume control buttons, mechanical lever for switching to vibration mode

    • On right: power off/lock button, SIM card slot

    • Bottom: speakers
    • On the back: main camera (12 MP), flash

      2. Size and ease of use:

iPhone 7 is the ideal size (data from the Internet: 138.3 × 67.1 × 7.1 mm, weight - 138 grams). It feels good in the hand, because the weight is also ideal. The smartphone is not thick and not thin - just right for my female hand. By the way, the thickness can be easily adjusted by selecting a suitable case (I have a branded silicone case - link, in which the iPhone is slightly thicker than in ordinary transparent inexpensive silicone). I don’t recommend wearing it without a case: you risk scratching your smartphone. Yes, and it is slippery without covers.

Using the phone with one hand is quite possible: your fingers can reach all corners if you try a little. But it’s always more convenient to use two hands

      3. Touch Home Button:

I’ll consider this point an advantage, because the button really behaves not like a touch button, but like a mechanical one. It’s pleasant to press, the response strength can be adjusted in the menu (three options), besides, I read somewhere that due to this design of the button, the sealing of the case is achieved, which allows us to talk about the moisture protection of the smartphone (I haven’t checked the moisture protection and don’t plan to. Only if accidentally))).

Nuance: Naturally, the button does not react to pressing with a fingernail, and this is so useful if your hands are stained with hair dye (if a message or call caught you in the process of painting) or with carrots and onions (if during the cooking process). In general, just a finger, friends, just a finger))

      4. Mechanical button to switch to silent mode:

A definite advantage of the iPhone! One of the best ideas!! I’m delighted, as you understand, there’s no need to unlock your smartphone, no need to go inside, no need to waste time. Just move the lever to the desired position (red stripe - vibration, silver stripe - sound) - and you're done!

Nuance: Over the course of six months of using the lever mechanism, dust accumulated, which once prevented me from moving it. The issue is resolved by cleaning with a needle.

      5. Internalities Inexplicable love for little things:

I can't explain exactly why I like some of the details in this smartphone, but I do like them.

      • The dialing keyboard with round buttons - I love it, although there is nothing supernatural about it.

      • The ability to swipe down a picture or video after viewing, thus returning, for example, to the gallery or to a conversation in contact is a very convenient thing, I always use it! You just need to swipe your finger from top to bottom - and you're done! Out of habit, I try to do this on smartphones of other brands - unfortunately, nothing works

      • The ability to place the cursor in any part of a word when typing. Yes, perhaps all smartphones have such a function, but I didn’t have it on the SE, and it was very annoying.

      • Ability to pay for purchases via Apple Pay. Great! Fast! Comfortable! You might forget your cards at home
      • There were some drawbacks too. But I want to note that I am ready to put up with all of them, because I feel that this phone is for me. Let's start:

        1. There are no SMS delivery reports. For me, this is simply incomprehensible and even stupid, somehow, unexpectedly. In principle, a smartphone does not provide such a function. I checked everything: I rummaged through the settings, searched through websites, and finally called the service technical support Apple. The operator asked to wait a couple of minutes, after which she said that yes, such a function is not available on Apple devices. How is this possible?!

The SMS delivery report, of course, can be set up through the operator, but for me this is inconvenient, since you always need to put a “.” in front of the text of the message itself, and I naturally forget.

Overall, this is my biggest complaint.

        2. There is no way to record your own telephone conversations. I'm not even talking about a built-in function that doesn't exist, I'm talking about free third-party applications that don't exist, and that's a shame. No, it’s possible that you can do something if you try too hard or attract men, but I couldn’t do anything on my own.

I understand that Apple has its own privacy policy, which does not provide for recording conversations, but some paid applications after all, there is, and since there is, it means it is possible to record, and if possible, then it would be nice to make free ones

        3. iTunes is too complicated for me. No matter how much I tried, and I tried twice, I still couldn’t figure it out.

But the great thing is that all I need from connecting the phone to the computer is the exchange of photo and video files, and for this I just need to connect the smartphone to the computer using a cord, the computer will recognize it as a flash drive - and please use it!

        4. Like all iPhones, the battery capacity is small. It lasts me a day, despite the fact that I almost never let it out of my hands, plus I also use a fitness bracelet that requires constant connection via Bluetooth. I come home in the evening, from 100% there remains, at best, 15-20%, and sometimes 8-10%. This doesn’t bother me too much, I loaded it up and moved on.

        General impressions:

The phone is excellent, it works quickly, in six months it has never turned off or rebooted on its own. It happens that it kicks you out of applications (only from Instagram and very rarely, I only encountered it three times. Perhaps the problem is in the application, and not in the smartphone). The included headphones are comfortable, the connector doesn’t bother me, since I only use them with a smartphone, and they fit it perfectly

P.S.: I’ll add a few photos so you can imagine the capabilities of the cameras:
