Hemlock spotted application. How to use hemlock, medicinal properties and contraindications. Treatment with hemlock using the Tishchenko method

Speckled or spotted hemlock (Latin name Conium maculatum) belongs to the Apiaceae family and is a biennial poisonous herbaceous plant. In folk medicine, it has been used for many centuries as an anticancer agent that can act on tumor sites and reduce metastases. In microdoses, this raw material is also used to treat other diseases.

Hemlock grass. Medicinal properties

The plant has several names (angelica, wild parsley, headwort) and has gained fame since ancient times due to its poisonous and healing properties. It was mentioned by Hippocrates in medical treatises, and the famous philosopher Socrates, according to historians, was poisoned with this poison. In Greece, it was officially used to execute people sentenced to death.

The stems, leaves and fruits of the plant contain the alkaloid coniine and other active compounds (methylkoniine, conhydrin, coniceine), which are slightly weaker in deadly effect than the snake venom curare. However, in microdoses, such substances have a therapeutic effect - they destroy cancer cells, have a positive effect on the immune system and increase the body’s defenses.

In homeopathy, microscopic doses of angelica are used for oncology.

Where does it grow and what does it look like? Description of the herb

Spotted hemlock grows in many Russian regions (Western Siberia, the Caucasus, etc.), countries of Europe, North Africa and Asia. The plant is not picky about soil and climate; it can grow as a bush, the size of which depends on the conditions.

In the first year, the grass forms a basal rosette of feathery leaves, visually similar to parsley. However, accidental consumption of them (the leaves do not have a bitter taste) can lead to poisoning.

Therefore, it is imperative to know what hemlock looks like (all its parts) and how it differs from similar plants. Angelica has a white, spindle-shaped root that can easily be confused with celery, which can lead to poisoning.

In the second year, a tall stem is formed (60-180 cm tall), hollow inside and covered with a white coating with reddish spots (hence the name - spotted or speckled), its thickness reaches 5 cm.

The leaves on the stem are arranged alternately and have a triangular and pinnate shape, the petioles reach a length of up to 60 cm. The upper and middle leaves are smaller in size, their tips are oblong, separate or pinnately incised. Hemlock flowers (photo below) are white, small, consist of 5 petals and 5 stamens. They are collected in corymbose-paniculate inflorescences at the top of the stem, reminiscent of an umbrella inflorescence.

the plant blooms with white small flowers that look like umbrellas

Flowering time is June-July. The flowers produce fruit-seeds, similar to dill, up to 3.5 mm in size, which ripen towards the end of August and September.

The hemlock herb differs from the medicinal angelica by its unpleasant odor, reminiscent of a mouse, which is emitted by all its parts.

Composition of spotted hemlock

Main components and chemical composition:

  • coniine is the main alkaloid and toxic principle of the plant (chemical formula C8H17N), contains a neurotoxic poison that affects the peripheral and central nervous systems;
  • essential and fatty oils (contain glycerides of petroselinic and petroselidic acids);
  • quercetin - belongs to the group of vitamins P, an antioxidant;
  • caffeic acid is an aromatic organic compound;
  • kaempferol is a plant flavonoid.

Thanks to the unique chemical composition of hemlock, it helps in the treatment and prevention of various diseases

What diseases does it help with?

In folk medicine, medicinal mixtures with hemlock are used to treat the following pathologies:

  • neoplasms and tumors (cancer);
  • atherosclerosis;
  • BPH;
  • thyroid diseases;
  • autoimmune diseases of the systemic type (rheumatoid arthritis, lupus erythematosus, etc.);
  • migraine;
  • gout and arthrosis;
  • eczema and erysipelas;
  • mastopathy;
  • stomach and intestinal colic;
  • gynecological disorders - endometriosis, uterine fibroids, polyps, malignant tumors;
  • skin cancer.

Application in oncological diseases

The experience of studying ancient sources of traditional medicine shows that the hemlock plant has been used for many centuries to treat tumors (benign and malignant). It was used to resolve nodes and seals on the lymphatic, mammary, prostate and thyroid glands, in the uterus and on the skin. Its effectiveness was often high in the treatment of early stages of cancer. However, in cases of severe progression of the disease, the remedy did not give a positive result.

In gynecology

The healing properties of hemlock are also used to treat female diseases. Moreover, the maximum effect is achieved with simultaneous ingestion of the tincture and external procedures (douching and insertion of tampons).

Douching is used in the treatment of uterine cancer. To prepare the solution, make a decoction of 25-30 g of herb per glass of boiling water, which must be left to cool. Then the same amount of “lime water” (an aqueous solution of calcium hydroxide) is added to it. The procedure is done 4 times a day, 100 ml of decoction in the form of douching or inserting a tampon.

To impregnate tampons, an infusion is prepared from a mixture of herbs (chamomile, calendula, sage in equal parts). You should take 1 tsp. herbs in 1 cup of boiling water, leave for half an hour, strain. After wetting the tampon, add 2-3 drops of hemlock infusion and insert it into the vagina overnight.

The use of angelica for women lies in its ability to normalize the menstrual cycle. Treatment is carried out in mini doses: 2 drops of tincture in 1 tbsp. l. water should be taken three times a day for a month, increasing the dose to 5 drops on days on which menstruation is expected.

the plant has contraindications for use, which must be followed so as not to harm the body

Contraindications for use

Although the plant is poisonous, an individual allergic reaction to it is rare.

The use of hemlock is contraindicated in the following conditions and disorders:

  • allergy to substances contained in the plant;
  • children under 18 years of age;
  • pregnancy and breastfeeding;
  • period after surgery;
  • the patient has chronic hypertension (high blood pressure);
  • history of epilepsy and seizures;
  • kidney disease and failure;
  • liver dysfunction.

Side effects of the plant

Possible negative side effects when using hemlock tincture or using it in excessive doses:

  • visual disturbances - fog, double vision or blurriness;
  • headache and dizziness;
  • dry mouth and increased salivation;
  • upset stomach, nausea, vomiting;
  • unpleasant burning sensation in the larynx;
  • lethargy and apathy;
  • numbness of the limbs.

If such symptoms appear, you should stop taking the herbal remedy and consult a doctor. If dosages are not observed (the maximum daily dose is 90 drops), signs of poisoning are possible - bloating, heavy sweating, redness of the face and the appearance of bluish spots, drowsiness and mental distress, decreased heart rate and respiratory rhythm, which can lead to paralysis.

How do doctors feel about hemlock?

The medicinal properties and contraindications of this plant have been used since the times of Ancient Rus'. The medical treatise, called the collection of Svyatoslav Yaroslavovich (dated 1704), contains several recipes for preparing a decoction and infusion of angelica. Already at that time, hemlock was successfully used to treat tumors. The plant was officially listed in the Russian Pharmacopoeia from 1866 to 1902. However, for several decades it has been banned for use in official medicine.

Russian and European laboratories are actively conducting research on the medicinal properties of hemlock. In 2008, evidence was obtained of its positive effect in the treatment of arthritis due to its anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.

Scientists in Austria, Spain and Germany conducted research on the anti-cancer effect of drugs containing an extract of this plant, after which they were included in the official list of pharmacological agents.

the use of tincture or liquid extract of the plant helps in the complex treatment of cancer

Can you cure cancer by taking hemlock?

Officially, the healing effect of hemlock on the resorption of foci and metastases of malignant tumors is not recognized by traditional medicine. However, in a situation where doctors do not give the patient a chance for recovery, taking medications with this poisonous plant turns out to be the last attempt to defeat the disease.

Methods of treatment, or how to drink hemlock for cancer in the form of a tincture:

1. “The Tsar’s Method” of Dr. Tishchenko is used according to the following scheme:

  • 1 dose - 1 drop in 100 ml of water;
  • each subsequent dose - add 1 drop, gradually reaching 13;
  • dilute 14 drops or more in 150 ml of water - bring to 25;
  • starting from 26 drops, they should be diluted in 250 ml of water (1 glass);
  • after 40, the dosage should be reduced in the same order to 1 drop;
  • the course can be repeated several times (maximum 8 months), however, if the patient’s health worsens, treatment should be stopped or the dosage reduced.

2. Nikiforov’s technique - refers to the most radical method:

  • 1st dose starts with 5 drops per glass of water;
  • You need to take the medicine every 6 hours three times a day;
  • add 1 drop each time;
  • when it reaches 30 pcs., a gradual reduction in the dose to 5 begins.

It should be taken into account that when using angelica in the form of a tincture (water or alcohol), it is necessary to exclude dairy and lactic acid products from the diet.

Recipes and rules for taking tinctures

An alcohol tincture of hemlock is used to treat cancer, which is prepared as follows:

  • 2 tbsp. l. pour 500 ml of 90% alcohol into a mixture of seeds and leaves of the plant;
  • leave for 2 weeks;
  • You can drink 2 drops of the product per 1 tsp. water 5 times a day.

When taking a water tincture, the side effects on the body are reduced. Its recipe:

  • 1 tsp. pour plant materials into a thermos and pour 250 ml of boiling water;
  • leave for 48 hours;
  • Keep refrigerated.

All parts of the plant are used for medicinal purposes - leaves, flowers, seeds

How to prepare raw materials for tincture

When collecting such a poisonous plant, it is necessary to take safety precautions - wear gloves, try not to touch all parts of the grass and do not touch your skin or eyes with dirty hands. Green stems, leaves, flowers and seeds of hemlock are used for medicinal purposes. It is better to harvest them during the summer flowering period. After collecting, be sure to wash your hands, preferably several times. Do not allow children into the process.

From dry leaves

It should be borne in mind that when dried, the alkaloids contained in the herb are partially destroyed, so fresh raw materials have the maximum healing properties.

It is better to dry the leaves in a non-residential area that is well ventilated. It is better not to allow strangers, pets and children into such a place. Dried herbs should be stored in iron, hermetically sealed jars, which must be labeled to avoid confusion. It is better to lock the cabinet with toxic substances.

The powdered herb is also used for treatment. 0.06 g of dry raw material should be taken twice a day, mixed with sugar or licorice root. The dose should be gradually increased to 0.6-1 g at each dose.

the finished tincture can be purchased over the counter at a pharmacy

From fresh raw materials

  • pour crushed raw materials with 70% alcohol in a ratio of 1:3;
  • leave to infuse in a dark place for a week;
  • The intake is done drop by drop, following the scheme given below.

Fresh leaves are used in the treatment of systemic diseases (erysipelas, lupus erythematosus, gout, thrombophlebitis) and bruises - they should be applied topically, scalded with boiling water and wrapped in gauze, to the affected areas.

fresh seeds of the plant are an effective remedy, which made it possible to use them for the preparation of medicines

From the seeds of a plant

Freshly picked unripe fruits of poisonous hemlock have the highest concentration of alkaloids, so it is better to use them for tincture directly upon collection (the essential oil has increased volatility).

For preparation, take 2 parts of inflorescences and seeds and 1 part of alcohol (40-70%) or vodka. It is better to grind raw materials with scissors; the use of a meat grinder worsens the quality of raw materials due to the release of chlorophyll.

The solution should be infused in a dark place for 21-40 days, shaking the container every day (do not open the lid). The optimal temperature for infusion is +15….+20°C.

The finished tincture must be filtered and placed in the refrigerator in a glass container with the inscription. Apply according to the “Royal Method”.

the seeds of the plant have a powerful healing effect in the fight against various diseases

An oil infusion is prepared from dried inflorescences and seeds:

  • 50 g of dry raw materials;
  • 0.5 liters of olive or other vegetable oil;
  • Mix the ingredients, pour into a dark glass bottle and place in a dark place for 3 weeks.

Hemlock oil is used to lubricate affected areas or moisten a compress for diseases:

  • mastopathy;
  • chest injuries;
  • thrombophlebitis;
  • joint pain;
  • tumors of internal and external localization;
  • hemorrhoids (for resorption of nodes).

an ointment for external use is made based on hemlock hemlock

Pharmacy analogues

In online pharmacies and specialized stores you can find drugs containing this plant:

  • Conium is a homeopathic remedy used in the treatment of lymph node tumors, convulsions, asthma and other diseases;
  • hemlock tincture - sold as a natural biostimulant and used in the treatment of joint diseases, atherosclerosis, malignant tumors, etc.;
  • dry herb - used to make medicine, but requires careful handling and strict adherence to dosages in accordance with the instructions for use.

Knowing the benefits and harms of using hemlock, traditional medicine specialists advise using it comprehensively in the treatment of cancer, taking responsibly to the doctor’s recommendations. Treatment should be carried out both with traditional drugs and herbal remedies, switching to taking healing herbal tinctures in between.

Spotted hemlock (Conium maculātum) is a herbaceous biennial plant, a species of the genus Hemlock (Conium) of the Apiaceae family. Popularly called:

puzzle;

wild parsley;

whistle;

parsley;

whistler;

dog angelica.

Spreading

The plant is widespread in the Caucasus, North Africa, throughout Europe, Western Siberia, and Central Asia. This plant grows in wastelands, vegetable gardens, ravine slopes and river banks and infests grain crops. Hemlock prefers sunny places and moist, humus soil. Tolerates frosts down to -30 0 C.

Botanical description

Spotted hemlock grows up to 2 m in height. The stem is tubular, hollow inside, branched. Sometimes a mucous coating forms, and brown spots appear in the lower part.

In the first year, a basal rosette of three-pinnate, pointed, broadly triangular leaves develops. They are located on petioles (about 30-60 cm) and are very similar to the foliage of parsley. Further, the leaves are arranged alternately on small petioles and have an oblong-ovate shape. The upper leaves are small, with a narrow sheath, almost sessile. When rubbed, it has an unpleasant aroma, similar to that of a mouse.

Hemlock forms corymbose-paniculate inflorescences, on which numerous umbrellas with flowers are located. The flowers are small, five-dimensional, white. Blooms in summer from June to August.

The fruits are two-seeds, which are divided into two half-fruits (mericarp) 3-3.5 mm long. They are very similar to dill seeds. The seeds are ovoid or round in shape, light brown in color, with wavy protruding ribs, slightly compressed at the edges. The plant produces up to 12 thousand seeds. Fresh seeds germinate poorly, but overwintered ones have very good germination. Fruiting - August-September.

The root system is powerful and taprooted. The root is spindle-shaped, white, and looks like a carrot.

Collection and preparation

The procurement of raw materials begins at the beginning of flowering - in May and the first half of June. The entire herbaceous part of the plant is used. Since omega is poisonous, it is recommended to collect it with gloves or other protective equipment. Hemlock is not dangerous for the respiratory system, but under no circumstances should you try it!

Dry it in the usual way, laying it out on paper under a canopy. It is advisable to protect it from contact with other herbs and place it separately. It must be stored in a well-sealed container away from other medicinal raw materials and products.

Composition and medicinal properties

The chemical composition of the plant consists of:

  • alkaloids;
  • kaempferol;
  • quercetin;
  • fatty oils (glycerides of petroselidinic and petroselinic acids);
  • retinol;
  • caffeic acid;
  • coniine;
  • ascorbic acid.

Spotted hemlock has especially healing properties during the flowering period. Thanks to the large number of alkaloids, the plant is a powerful immunomodulator, antispasmodic, diuretic, sedative, anticonvulsant and cardiac analgesic. Has an antiseptic effect. Used in the fight against tumors, cysts and polyps.

Due to the high poison content, traditional medicine does not recognize the plant as a medicinal plant. But traditional medicine has been using the collection of this herb for centuries in the following cases:

  • tuberculosis;
  • prostate adenomas;
  • tumor neoplasms;
  • skin cancer;
  • systemic autoimmune diseases (rheumatism, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus erythematosus);
  • prostatitis;
  • tinnitus;
  • thyroid pathologies;
  • eczema, erysipelas;
  • atherosclerosis;
  • migraine;
  • intestinal and gastric colic;
  • bladder polyps;
  • gout;
  • arthrosis;
  • osteochondrosis;
  • whooping cough;
  • gynecological pathology (endometriosis, cysts, fibroids, polyps of the reproductive organs, malignant tumors);
  • mastopathy.

Application

When treating with drugs based on this spotted hemlock, you should refrain from consuming dairy products, fatty and canned foods, and reduce the salt and sugar content. Alcohol must be completely avoided.

  • Young fresh leaves of the plant are used to treat articular rheumatism, gout, and thrombophlebitis. They are wrapped in natural fabric and placed in boiling water for a few seconds. Apply to the affected area 3-4 times during the day.
  • For hypertension, take 2 drops of the alcohol tincture discussed below 4 times a day for 2-3 months.
  • Hemlock is used for hemorrhoids, burns, and skin diseases. It can also be used for various stages of cancer. Mix 100 g of unrefined sunflower oil and 25 g of dried hemlock herb. Place the resulting mixture in the refrigerator for 2 weeks. Filter the finished composition. Place another 100 g of oil in a container and place it on the fire. Add candle wax in small portions, stirring constantly. When the oil lightens, it should be removed from the heat and cooled. Combine the two butter mixtures and mix thoroughly. This ointment can be left on throughout the day. Keep this product in the head and neck area for no more than 2 hours.

Application in oncological diseases

The poisons contained in the plant, quercetin and coniine, in small quantities, activate the body’s immune cells. He perceives these substances as abnormal, foreign substances and tries to get rid of them. Along with this, it also captures other pathogenic bacteria and diseased cells. Many healers claim that spotted hemlock is effective even at stage 4 of cancer, eliminating and stopping the growth of metastases. But no official confirmation of this statement has been received.

Not all patients have an activated immune response, so do not neglect visiting a specialist and self-medicate.

They fight cancer with the help of tincture.

Tincture recipe:

  • The medicinal plant is collected immediately into a pre-prepared container, which contains 0.5 liters of vodka. 1/3 of the liquid is filled with raw materials, if these are leaves and inflorescences. When filled with umbrellas alone, the container is completely filled. The resulting product must be shaken periodically; it is strictly forbidden to open the lid. It should be stored in the refrigerator for about 2-2.5 weeks. Then strain and store in a cool, dark place.
  • Basal leaves and unripe seeds can be infused with pure medical alcohol in a ratio of 1:2 (leaves + seeds: alcohol). Infuse in a cool dark place or refrigerator for 18-20 days.
  • Treatment with hemlock tincture usually follows the method of V.V. Tishchenko. or "royal". The tincture is diluted in half a glass of water and taken at the same time once a day before meals. The dose increases gradually and corresponds to the day of administration, starting from day 1 - 1 drop, day 2 - 2 drops, and so on up to 40 drops, and then in the opposite direction. They drink 2-3 courses in this way with a possible break of a week. It is recommended to use this scheme 2 times a year.

This method is suitable for treating adenoma in men.

  • Treatment is also carried out using the Nikiforov method. With this method, the solution is used 3 times a day after 6 hours. Start taking it with 5 drops per glass of water. Subsequent times add 1 drop. When the number of drops increases to 30, the dose should be reduced again to 5.

It is important to remember that when undergoing a course of chemotherapy, therapy with spotted hemlock tincture is prohibited!

Application in gynecology

Hemlock is very effective in gynecology.

When a diagnosis of cervical cancer or mastopathy is made, the tincture is taken according to the standard regimen, in consultation with a doctor. For cervical cancer, it is additionally recommended to use a decoction consisting of:

  • tenacious bedstraw – 20 g;
  • boron uterus – 20 g;
  • meadowsweet – 30 g;
  • water mint, strawberry leaves, mistletoe inflorescences, bergenia - 10 g each.

Place 22 g of collection in 360 ml of cold water. Leave for about 1 hour and place in a water bath. Boil for about 20 minutes. Add 15 ml of cinquefoil tincture to the cooled broth. Take 120 ml simultaneously with hemlock tincture. At the same time, you can douche with a decoction of calendula, chamomile, horse sorrel, and sweet clover.

To restore blood vessels and remove poison, it is necessary to use a decoction of rose hips and pine needles. Add 65 g of rose hips and 130 g of pine needles to 1.6 liters of water. Boil over low heat for 12 minutes and pour into a thermos. Leave overnight and consume the entire volume in small portions per day.

Signs of poisoning

When using medicines based on hemlock spotted, it is recommended to strictly adhere to the prescribed dosage. Otherwise, it can lead to severe poisoning.

The first signs of poisoning:

  • tachycardia;
  • increased blood pressure;
  • nausea;
  • excitation;
  • enlarged pupils;
  • constipation.

If these signs are detected, you should take activated carbon and drink 2 glasses of warm milk with a small amount of potassium permanganate. And call a doctor immediately.

In medicine

Currently, doctors practically do not use spotted hemlock and the alkaloids it contains in scientific medicine as a medicine due to cases of poisoning during treatment. Meanwhile, methods for using hemlock preparations in the treatment of sarcoma and other tumors were patented already in 1990 and 2000.

Hemlock spotted and preparations based on it are used mainly in homeopathy for atherosclerotic phenomena, tumor formations, and uterine fibroids. Previously, in homeopathy, an alcohol tincture of fresh hemlock was used as one of the best remedies for cancerous tumors, swelling of the lymph glands, scrofula, anemia, headaches, constipation, urinary retention, dry convulsive cough, feelings of fear, delayed menstruation, heartburn, tinnitus . For example, the leaves were used for rheumatism and gout. Spotted hemlock is quite effective for breast and prostate cancer as an anesthetic; it also stimulates the functioning of the hematopoietic organs and relieves varicose veins.

In some countries, in particular Tajikistan, hemlock fruits were used to treat epilepsy, cardiovascular diseases, skin cancer as an analgesic and hemostatic agent.

Contraindications and side effects

Spotted hemlock is an extremely poisonous plant!

All organs of the plant contain alkaloids (coniine), so the use of preparations based on hemlock spotted requires great caution.

In case of an overdose, severe agitation is observed, accompanied by convulsions, turning into depression of the central nervous system, and subsequently respiratory arrest.

The main symptoms of poisoning with hemlock spotted: nausea, drooling, dizziness, difficulty swallowing, speech impairment, pale skin, ascending paralysis (from the lower extremities), accompanied by loss of skin sensitivity, dilated pupils and lack of reaction to light.

In cases of poisoning, you must immediately drink warm water sweetened with honey and induce vomiting, or rinse the stomach with a 0.1% solution of potassium permanganate, followed by the administration of an aqueous suspension of activated carbon.

In other areas

Good insecticide. Although hemlock is a good honey plant, its strong toxicity excludes the possibility of using it as a honey plant.

Classification

Spotted hemlock (lat. Conium maculatum) is a species of the genus Hemlock (lat. Conium) of the Umbrella family (lat. Apiaceae). The hemlock genus includes 4 species, distributed mainly in temperate regions of Eurasia, North America and Africa. One of the species, in particular spotted or speckled hemlock, is found in Russia.

Botanical description

Biennial herbaceous plant with a tall stem (60-180 cm). A very poisonous plant with an unpleasant mouse odor. The root is powerful, fusiform, whitish. The stem is bare, branched, finely grooved, hollow, with a bluish coating and reddish-brown spots. The leaves (lower) are petiolate, broadly triangular, triple pinnate, rather large (30-60 cm long), the middle and upper leaves are smaller, with a very short petiole - almost sessile, with narrow sheaths, their terminal lobes are pinnately incised or separate. The flowers are small, almost white, collected in complex umbels, forming a corymbose-paniculate inflorescence. The perianth is double, 5-membered. There are also 5 stamens, alternating with petals. Pistil with lower bilocular ovary. Hemlock flower formula: *H 5 L 5 T 5 P (2). The fruit is a two-seed, split into two fruitlets (mericarp). There are no secretory tubules in mature fruits. Blooms in May-June.

Spreading

In Russia it is found throughout almost the entire European part (except for the Far North), in the Caucasus, and Western Siberia. It grows on forest edges, water meadows, limestone slopes, as a weed in crops and vegetable gardens, in fallow lands and wastelands, near housing, near roads and fences, in landfills, on the slopes of ravines, along railways.

Regions of distribution on the map of Russia.

Procurement of raw materials

For medicinal purposes, the herb (stems, leaves, flowers) of spotted hemlock is usually used. Raw materials are harvested during flowering and the beginning of seed formation (June - July). The leaves and stem are collected during flowering, immature seeds are plucked along with the umbrellas. Dry the grass in the shade under a canopy or in dryers at temperatures up to 40°C. Seeds in umbrellas are also dried, then the seeds are carefully separated from the umbrellas; they easily fall out when dry. Since all parts of the plant are highly poisonous, safety rules must be strictly followed when collecting. It is strictly forbidden to taste the plant and allow children to collect raw materials. Hemlock is a strong ether carrier, its unpleasant mouse smell causes severe headaches, so when collecting inflorescences the plant should be approached from the direction of the wind. Dried raw materials are stored in bags, separately, in well-ventilated, dry rooms.

Chemical composition

All organs of spotted hemlock contain poisonous alkaloids coniine (the most poisonous), methylkoniine, conhydrin, pseudoconhydrin, conicein, as well as fatty oil, which contains glycerides of petroselinic and petroselidic acids. In the leaves - up to 0.1% alkaloids (coniine), essential oil (up to 0.08%), caffeic acid; in flowers – up to 0.24% alkaloids, quercetin (part of the vitamin P group), kaempferol; in fruits – up to 2% alkaloids, including coniine (up to 1%), methylkoniine, conhydrin; in seeds - up to 2% alkaloids and 0.08% essential oil and caffeic acid.

Pharmacological properties

The pharmacological properties of hemlock are determined by its chemical composition, mainly the content of alkaloids (coniine). Preparations (extract and patch) based on spotted hemlock have a calming, analgesic, anticonvulsant, analgesic, anti-inflammatory properties, as well as a diuretic effect (condensed juice).

Use in folk medicine

If drugs based on hemlock hemlock are used in traditional medicine, it is necessary to remember that this plant is highly toxic and especially not to recommend it as a remedy. At the same time, tincture and juice of the hemlock herb are widely used as a calming, anti-inflammatory, anticonvulsant, sedative, anticancer, antiasthmatic and analgesic agent for painful conditions accompanied by cramps or spasms of internal organs, stomach and intestinal colic, chorea, epilepsy, whooping cough, migraine, anuria, anemia, dysmenorrhea, wet dreams, syphilis. An alcohol tincture of hemlock seeds and leaves is used as an analgesic for various pains (especially cancer) arising from diseases of the digestive system, urine retention in the bladder, anemia, delayed menstruation, nocturnal ejaculation in adolescents, persistent painful cough, cancer of the uterus, stomach , intestines and other diseases. For cancer (uterine, intestinal, etc.) infusions are sometimes used. The shoots (leaf and stem) of hemlock, as a very powerful and effective remedy, are used in the fight against cancerous tumors and cancer pain, as well as in its treatment. In the practice of traditional medicine, there are a number of cases where completely hopelessly ill people were cured of cancer of the breast, esophagus, stomach, and liver with the help of hemlock. Hemlock also stimulates the functioning of the blood-forming organs and relieves varicose veins.

In folk medicine, ointment (hemlock powder dissolved in honey) is used externally to treat inflammation of the lymph nodes. The ointment also works great as a wound healing agent.

Hemlock herb extract is used to wash out malignant ulcers. Hemlock preparations are used for long-term headaches, chronic inflammation of the eyes (in the form of lotions), hearing loss, impotence, and bone diseases.

Historical reference

Spotted hemlock has long been used (especially in Ancient Greece) as an “official” poison, which was used to poison those sentenced to death. It is believed that the ancient Greek philosopher Socrates and the military commander Phocion were poisoned with hemlock poison. Since the time of Hippocrates, hemlock has been considered a medicinal plant.

The botanical name of the plant “konium” itself warns of danger, as it comes from the Greek “kone” - killing.

Spotted hemlock is also called speckled hemlock, stinking grass, hemlock, poisonous hemlock, poisonous hemlock.

The hemlock herb is called by many names: omega poisonous, stem, stinking grass, head grass, mud grass, whistling grass, parsley, angelica, gorigolova... Hippocrates himself knew about the miraculous properties of this medicinal plant. If you want to learn more about this herb, be sure to read our article. After all, hemlock is widely used for medicinal purposes. And they even treat cancer!

Biological characteristics: what it looks like

This herbaceous plant has a two-year life cycle, and begins to bloom in the second year (usually in mid-July), and the fruits appear no earlier than August. It can reach a height of up to 1.5 m, and under good conditions - even more.

Its leaves are very dissected and lacy. The lower leaf plates are up to 60 cm in length. The fruits, like those of other umbelliferae (hemlock belongs to this family), are round or ovoid, slightly flattened on the sides, brown, approximately 3 mm in length. The stem is smooth, empty inside.

The most common species is spotted or speckled hemlock, which has red-brown spots on the stem. Hemlock gives off a peculiar, not very pleasant smell.

Spreading

Hemlock can grow anywhere, as long as the temperature there in winter does not fall below -30 °C and there is snow (it needs this for a quiet winter). This includes almost the entire territory of Europe, and the Asian region with a temperate climate, and China, and almost all of Russia (also the Caucasus, Western Siberia).

He chooses places near highways, in vacant lots, vegetable gardens, forest edges, and along rivers.

Chemical composition

The grass has the following components:

  • poisonous alkaloids (coniine holds the lead);
  • essential oils;
  • flavonoids (quercetin, kaempferol);
  • fixed oils;
  • organic acids;
  • caffeic acid.

Did you know? Hemlock grown in Scotland is almost completely devoid of its toxicity, as in Armenia, where it is even used as a bitter seasoning for dishes. Unfortunately, this cannot be done in Russia.

Medicinal properties

Hemlock is good for:

  • pain relief;
  • calm;
  • disinfection;
  • wound healing;
  • strengthening the immune system;
  • fight against tumors;
  • treatment of chronic infectious diseases;
  • proper functioning of the vascular system;
  • solving problems of hematopoietic activity.

Application in medicine

The herb is widely used for medicinal purposes. Especially in gynecology and cancer.

In oncology (cancer treatment)

The most valuable properties of hemlock are those used to treat cancerous tumors. After all, coniine has the effect of an antigen. This alkaloid triggers the necessary immune reactions. Also, thanks to it, special proteins of a protein nature appear in the blood - as they decay, they inhibit cancer cells.

There are three most popular methods of using herbs for cancerous tumors, which were developed by Yuri Nikiforov, Nikolai Danikov and Valery Tishchenko (it is also called royal). We'll talk about the latter below. But you must understand that hemlock will only give results in conjunction with the main treatment. Herbs alone are unlikely to help.

In gynecology

Products containing hemlock, in addition, have antitumor and immunostimulating effects. Due to this, they are prescribed for endometriosis, polypous and cystic formations, lipomas, uterine fibroids, mastopathy, breast fibroadenoma.

It is also good if it is necessary to regulate the menstrual cycle.

Important! When taking hemlock, you must adhere to the correct diet corresponding to the specific disease. Eat healthy and fresh food. Be sure to remove fatty, fried foods, processed foods, and sausages from your diet. When taking medications from hemlock, alcohol is strictly prohibited!

Collection and processing of raw materials

Those who have contraindications for this herb should not collect it under any circumstances.

But others should follow the recommendations regarding collection, processing and storage:

  • It is necessary to collect hemlock during its flowering period: from June to September (it all depends on the climate zone);
  • To collect, you need to wear closed clothing and rubber gloves, and at the end of the process, wash your hands well;
  • take the choice of the area where grass grows seriously - there is no need to collect it near factories, roads, dirty ponds;
  • stand on the side of the wind to inhale the poisonous odor to a minimum;
  • pay attention to the condition of the plant - the leaves should be undamaged and the flowers should be fully open;
  • dry the grass in a dark, ventilated (preferably non-residential) room, away from children, until it becomes brittle;
  • save raw materials in fabric bags or closed glass containers at a great distance from other herbs, and especially products;
  • Keep it for no more than three years, because then it loses its medicinal properties.

Healing forms: how to take

The plant can be taken in different ways: fresh, in the form of tincture, ointment, powder.

The tincture is used very widely. It is effective not only for oncology or menstrual disorders, but also for:

  • varicose veins;
  • inflammation of the lymph nodes;
  • dermatosis;
  • ailments of the digestive system;
  • constipation;
  • whooping cough;
  • anemia;
  • mastopathy;
  • migraine;
  • nervous overexcitation or exhaustion;
  • high blood pressure;
  • gout;
  • disorders of the urinary system;
  • prostatitis;
  • rheumatism;
  • thrombophlebitis;
  • chorea;
  • chronic cough;
  • epilepsy.

Tincture recipe. We will need:

  • dry hemlock grass - 1 tablespoon (or 30 g);
  • vodka - 50 ml.

Pour vodka over the grass and let it brew for three weeks in a cool, dark place. Use this way: dilute 25 drops of the product with 150 ml of water and drink three times a day half an hour before meals. As a rule, the duration of treatment is three months.

Important! Vodka can be replaced with alcohol. It’s just that in this case the tincture will be enough to “ripen” for two weeks.

Powder

The powder is used for the same problems as the tincture. To get the powder, you need to grind the dry grass of the grass. Take 0.06 g of it morning and evening along with sugar or licorice root powder. The dose should be gradually increased - up to 0.6-1 g, while being sure to monitor your well-being.

Ointment

For the ointment you need:

  • olive oil - 100 ml;
  • sunflower oil - 100 ml;
  • dry hemlock grass - 2 tablespoons;
  • wax candle - 1 pc. (large);
  • gauze - for straining.

Place the herb in olive oil and let it sit in a cool place for two weeks. Strain through 8-10 layers of gauze (this will be the first batch). Heat the sunflower oil over very low heat (the oil should not boil, but should be hot).
Place the candle pieces there and stir until the wax dissolves. Add wax until the oil turns white. When the finished solution becomes warm, mix it with the first preparation and place it in the refrigerator to harden.

The ointment is good for any external tumors, blisters, cuts, hemorrhoids. It is also applied to the skin for cancer - in the area of the projection of a cancerous tumor of an internal organ (the ointment can be applied to the head or neck for no more than 2 hours).

Fresh leaves

Fresh leaves are usually used externally: they are kneaded and tied to sore joints (for example, with rheumatism) or to lumps on the skin, leaving for 60 minutes. Such procedures should be done 3-4 times a day.

By the way, you can also make a tincture of their fresh leaves: take a liter jar, fill it 1/3 with leaves and fill it to the top with vodka or alcohol. Infuse in a dark, cool place for three weeks if you used vodka, or two weeks if alcohol. It is used in the same way as dry hemlock tincture.

Side effects: poisoning

One of the main side effects of taking hemlock is possible poisoning. This is all due to the high content of toxic substances in it.

The lethal dose for humans is 50 ml per 1 kg of weight (for a horse, by the way, you need 3 kg of the plant). Therefore, be very careful about the dosage. If you exceed it and experience symptoms of poisoning, be sure to consult a doctor!

The first symptoms of poisoning:

  • nervousness;
  • high blood pressure and rapid heartbeat;
  • tremor;
  • nausea;
  • speech disorder;
  • dilated pupils;
  • pale skin.

Important!If you do not contact a medical facility in time, this is fraught with consequences such as paralysis, convulsions, breathing problems, and loss of skin sensitivity.

Contraindications

The herb is contraindicated:

  • pregnant women and women during breastfeeding;
  • old people and children;
  • with abnormalities of the immune system;
  • with general exhaustion;
  • in the postoperative period;
  • for liver diseases.

And if you have oncology, be sure to consult a specialist regarding the use of this herb.

Storage conditions

Tincture, powder and ointment are best stored in a tightly sealed glass container. The ointment is in the refrigerator. At the same time, the tincture, surprisingly, can be saved for no more than 10 days; after this time, its healing properties begin to decrease, and it is undesirable for the ointment to sit stale.
Try to do it as much as you need at the moment. The powder will be “comfortable” in a dark, cool place. It, like dry grass, is not recommended to be stored for more than three years.

Don’t forget to put labels on the containers, indicating what kind of raw materials they contain and when they were prepared and packaged. But fresh leaves, due to their toxicity, are best not stored. If necessary, use them immediately, and very carefully.

Tishchenko method: cancer treatment

As we have already mentioned, one of the methods for treating oncology with hemlock is the method of Valery Tishchenko. He takes young inflorescences and leaves of the grass, collects them, immediately puts them in a jar with vodka or alcohol (the jar is filled one third with hemlock, vodka is poured into it to the top), lets it sit for a little more than a month, filters it and pours it into a glass container.

The dosage is individual for everyone - it all depends on the stage of the disease. According to the healer, such treatment should take place in combination with other herbs and certainly under the supervision of a specialist.

Medicine still does not have a clear opinion on how justified the use of hemlock tincture is. Is this tincture necessary for humans? Spotted hemlock is one of the controversial medicinal plants.

Are you having any problem? Enter “Symptom” or “Name of the disease” into the form, press Enter and you will find out all the treatment for this problem or disease.

The site provides reference information. Adequate diagnosis and treatment of the disease is possible under the supervision of a conscientious doctor. Any drugs have contraindications. Consultation with a specialist is required, as well as detailed study of the instructions! .

It contains prohibitive doses of lethal substances and leads to fatal intoxication. But it also effectively copes with malignant tumors, thanks to its ability to “stimulate” the human immune system.

Hemlock tinctures - methods of use

Due to the fact that hemlock is a plant that requires treatment, the use of tinctures based on it occurs according to already proven methods. They differ markedly in course duration and dosage intensity, so each patient can start with the gentlest one, and then, carefully monitoring their well-being, move on to stronger options.

Method No. 1 (the most gentle)

A classic alcohol tincture of the plant is used. The course begins with taking one drop of tincture diluted in 50 ml of water.

If the patient feels dizzy or has an overwhelming aversion to the drug, you can begin to reduce the dosage one drop at a time until the condition returns to normal.

“Tsar’s” technique (according to Tishchenko)

Refers to those who are gentle. The course begins with drinking 1 drop of tincture diluted in 100 ml of water.

Every day one drop is added up to forty, then everything is repeated, but in the reverse order - from 40 drops to 1.

The advantage of this technique is that it starts with minimal doses, and the dosage increases slowly and evenly.

During this time, the body has time to adapt to the action of the drug, so peak dosages are perceived normally. As you increase the dosage of the tincture, you need to increase the amount of liquid (50 ml for every 10 drops of tincture).

Method No. 3 (intensive)

This technique is used if malignant tumors are progressing rapidly and it is necessary to achieve a therapeutic effect faster.

The dosage is as follows:

  1. On the first day, drink 1 drop in the morning, 2 at lunch and 3 in the evening.
  2. The next day, the morning dose is already 4 drops, the lean dose is 5, and the evening dose is 6.

At this pace, the dosage is increased until it reaches 40 drops per day, then a 3-5 day break is taken, and the course is repeated.

Method No. 4 (for the treatment of aggressive tumors)

In general, it almost repeats the “royal” method, but differs from it in that it does not have an upper dose limit. The build-up occurs until the side effects of the tincture on the body begin to appear.

During this time, the increase in dosage stops until the condition normalizes, then resumes again. Each patient needs to reach his or her own limit and take the drug in this mode for up to 10 days at an even background, then gradually follow in the reverse order.

Using tincture according to method No. 4 carries a large share of risk, so it is better if the patient is under the supervision of a doctor while taking the medicine.

Although the body is able to withstand dosages of up to 90 drops, without harming itself.

Useful and harmful properties

The benefits of this plant can hardly be overestimated. Its medicinal properties were discovered by man back in ancient times. Domestic herbalists have used hemlock as a universal medicine since the 10th century.

Treated with tincture:

  • Benign and malignant tumors;
  • Venereal diseases;
  • Ulcers;
  • Various inflammatory processes.

The high effectiveness of tinctures is explained by the fact that the alkaloids that make up the plant are natural immunomodulators. By irritating the human immune system, they reboot it, after which it begins to work 7-10 times more efficiently.

Hemlock preparations also have another important feature - they stimulate the hematopoietic system, helping it renew cells faster.

The harm of the hemlock drug lies in its toxicity and its constituent alkaloids:

  • Coniceine;
  • Propylpiperidine;
  • Methylkoniine;
  • Pseudoconiine;
  • Konyin.

In case of overdose, it has a completely opposite effect, suppressing the immune system and causing acute poisoning. WHO has banned official medical institutions from using hemlock to treat patients, despite all its unique properties.

Although cases of poisoning with tinctures are rare. The main thing is to follow the dosage and carefully monitor your health in order to adjust the course in time.

Indications and contraindications

What does this tincture treat, besides cancer:

  • Constipation and diarrhea, accompanied by severe intestinal pain;
  • Morbid obesity, leading to the accumulation of fluid in the peritoneum;
  • Severe pain due to inflammation;
  • Migraine;
  • Hypertension;
  • Inflammation of the lymph nodes;
  • Mastopathy;
  • Gout;
  • Arthritis;
  • Gynecological diseases (delayed menstruation, uterine fibroids).

Many healers claim that anyone can take hemlock at any time. But there is a clear list of contraindications for which the use of hemlock is prohibited.

  • Allergic reaction to the plant;
  • Pregnancy;
  • Serious problems with heart rate and blood pressure;
  • Kidney and liver diseases.

Side effects from use

Anyone planning treatment with hemlock should familiarize themselves with the list of side effects and preferably memorize it. If any of them appears, it is necessary to immediately stop treatment or reduce dosages, otherwise, instead of healing, quick and inevitable death may occur.

The list of typical side effects that occur when taking the tincture is:

  • Pupil dilation;
  • Dizziness;
  • Excessive salivation;
  • Drowsiness;
  • Deterioration of vision;
  • Nausea;
  • Dulling of consciousness.

If the first signs were ignored and “ascending” paralysis occurred (starts with numbness in the feet, which gradually rises higher), it is necessary to immediately take the person to the hospital and explain to the doctors the nature of the poisoning.

Preparation of hemlock tincture

There are many different recipes. The classic tincture is made only on an alcohol basis with a strength of at least 60 degrees, and all parts of the plant are suitable for its preparation, except for the roots.

From dry leaves

To prepare it you need to take:

  • 0.5 l of alcohol base;
  • 30 g of thoroughly crushed dry hemlock leaves.

The mixture is infused in a glass container for 2 weeks.

The container with the tincture must be shaken daily to speed up the release of alkaloids.

From fresh raw materials

You can use hemlock inflorescences or leaves. The plant mass is not crushed, but simply carefully placed in a container (without compacting) to 2/3 of its volume and filled with alcohol to the brim.

After 3 weeks the tincture will be ready.

From the seeds of a plant

The recipe generally repeats the previous one; the strength of the alcohol base for the tincture on the seeds should be at least 70 degrees.

Once the tincture is ready, it needs to be cleaned using a coffee filter (can be replaced with gauze folded several times) and stored in the refrigerator or a cool, dark basement.

Efficiency in cancer

Hemlock will help defeat cancer; it hits the most vulnerable spot of cancer cells - their uncontrolled metabolism.

Cancer cells constantly reproduce and accumulate and consume a lot of nutrients to maintain this process. Hemlock poison, entering the body, is absorbed by cancer cells and, concentrating, gradually kills them.

Treatment with hemlock is similar to traditional chemotherapy, but differs in a more localized effect. The only difference is that hemlock can kill already formed cancer cells.

It cannot eliminate the pathogenic process entirely, but “freezes” it or greatly slows it down. The use of hemlock tincture for cancer should be combined with traditional treatment.

How to properly harvest a hemlock plant

In the official pharmacology of a number of countries, in the production of painkillers, a herbaceous plant of the Apiaceae family, Hemlock spotted, is used. Of all parts of the plant, the grass itself, inflorescences and unripe seeds in umbrellas are used for medicinal purposes. To use the healing properties, you should know when and how raw materials for medicines are prepared.

Under the grass include flowering and leafy shoots. In hemlock, these parts are collected at the beginning of flowering.

The basic rules for collecting plant materials must be followed:

  • Harvesting is carried out only in dry weather, preferably in the morning, when the dew has disappeared;
  • Green shoots, leaves and inflorescences must be intact;
  • Cut the shoots at the level of the bottom leaf using pruners, scissors or a sharp knife.

Woody parts of the plant are not harvested; they have a different biochemical composition. It is important to take this into account when harvesting hemlock - the plant is poisonous. Umbrellas with seeds are collected at the immature stage. Selectively take healthy parts of the plant.

Sometimes the collected raw materials are used fresh. Bulk workpieces must be dried. This must be done in a shaded (but well-ventilated) room; hemlock contains essential oils and emits unpleasant odors. To speed up the drying process, the herbal parts need to be crushed.

Chemical composition

Hemlock has a number of healing properties. In addition to the mentioned analgesic effect, preparations based on this plant also have a stimulating effect on the hematopoietic organs. In folk medicine, the herb is used for hypertension, neuralgia, menstrual irregularities and uncontrollable cough.

This is due to the chemical composition of the plant:

  • The leaves contain essential oils (up to 0.08%), alkaloids (0.1%) and caffeic acid;
  • The flowers contain kaempferol and quercetin;
  • The seeds are saturated - they contain alkaloids (about 2%), tannins, fatty oils, beta-carotene, vitamins and microelements.

Strongly active alkaloids (nitrogen-containing substances) included in hemlock:

  • Coniine is a powerful toxin with a nerve paralytic effect;
  • Conhydrine is a secondary alkaloid and is a derivative of coniine;
  • Pseudoconhydrin is an isomer of the previous alkaloid.

These components make the composition of the plant chemically complex and quite poisonous. There is no need to engage in uncontrolled self-medication, which leads to severe poisoning.

The value of other components included in the chemical composition:

  1. Kaempferol is a flavonoid with a wide range of biological activities, from a common antiviral agent to an antitumor effect.
  2. Quercetin is another flavonoid. It is characterized by antioxidant properties that resist free radicals, which helps keep cells healthy.
  3. Caffeic acid helps inhibit carcinogenesis and is a good immunomodulator.
  4. Essential oils give the plant a smell (mousy) and have medicinal properties that are useful for many diseases.

Using tincture in cosmetology for face and body

Alcohol tinctures of hemlock can be bought at a pharmacy and taken for treatment, both internally and externally. If desired, you can prepare the product yourself, using extreme caution.

It is better to use already dried chopped grass.

  1. Pour 2 tbsp into a half-liter bottle of vodka. Add the dry component, cover with a lid and shake well.
  2. The composition is infused for 3 weeks in a dark place (somewhere in a closet). The temperature should be room temperature.
  3. The bottle needs to be shaken once every 2-3 days.
  4. The tincture must be filtered, only then can it be used following the instructions.

In addition to the therapeutic effect, hemlock also gives a good cosmetic result if you use the tincture externally:

  • As compresses on rough skin of the feet and when spurs form there;
  • Apply napkins moistened with diluted tincture to sore spots with varicose veins;
  • The ability to suppress hair growth, used in hair removal.

Using an alcohol tincture, you can get rid of unwanted hair on the body and face. After each depilation session (it is better to use wax), it is enough to wipe the treated areas with a cotton swab moistened with this preparation. This must be done with extreme caution on the face.

The course of such “therapy” should be carried out for one and a half months. Hair on your legs, armpits, deep bikini area and face stops growing. But for greater reliability, these places should be treated with tincture for another month at intervals of 2-3 days.

For compresses, use a composition diluted with water in the proportion of 1 part hemlock and 10 parts water. The compress should be kept for no more than 2 hours. The course of treatment should be agreed with your doctor (especially with varicose veins).

The general opinion of those who took this tincture for cancer

The composition of hemlock is a potent pain reliever. It can suppress cell growth. You can increasingly hear how effective the tincture is in the treatment of oncology.

Hemlock has long been known both as a powerful poison and as an effective medicine. Back in the centuries of Paracelsus and Hippocrates, preparations based on this herb were used in the treatment of tumors.

In the 17th century The Austrian doctor Sterk spoke enthusiastically about the results he obtained in the treatment of cancer patients: “The most glorious of all medicines for cancer is Hemlock.” This herb was also valued in ancient Rus'.

Russian oncology cannot do without this drug in the treatment and prevention of cancer development. It does not matter where the tumor has settled - in the chest, internal organs or head.

Those people who have already undergone hemlock therapy say that the technique developed by oncologist Yu.V. Tishchenko. It lives up to its name “royal”. The entire treatment cycle takes 80 days, during which the person may become worse. But as a result, a positive trend still appears if you are under the supervision of the attending physician.

Patients realize how serious cancer is, and this tincture alone is not a panacea for cancer. The medicine does not kill harmful cells, but stops their growth in combination with other components. It is important to use the tincture as a pain reliever, which will be a good alternative to morphine-based drugs.

Doubts expressed by some ordinary people about the effectiveness of hemlock in the treatment of cancer are not justified. It is enough to look at the chemical composition to make sure that the plant contains the components necessary for this.
