  • cherry - 0.7 kg,
  • sugar – 0.6 kg,
  • star anise – 1 star,

How to make cherry jam in a bread machine:

1. If the cherries are frozen, then defrost them; it is best to do this naturally, without additional heating.
2. Place the cherries in the bucket of the bread machine, add cinnamon and add sugar, then stir lightly so that the sugar is distributed evenly.
3. Launch the “Jam” program.

As you can see, making jam is extremely simple. I would like to pay special attention to the bones - many housewives prefer to take out the bones, but I do not recommend doing this. Frozen cherries, which are sold by weight, must be rinsed under running water. Cherries that are sold in bags or prepared by you are considered to not need to be washed...

Place clean frozen cherries in a bread machine bowl and sprinkle with granulated sugar.

Within about an hour, the cherries will melt and release some juice.

When all the sugar is colored with cherry juice, turn on the “Jam” mode.

A decent amount of juice will be released, so at the end of cooking, drain about one glass and use it for fruit drinks or other desserts.

After about three hours, repeat the “Jam” mode to get thick and viscous cherry jam.
