Rune magic is an ancient teaching that generates wisdom and gives a person the true path of life. The history of Runemal - “the art of throwing runes” - goes back at least one and a half thousand years. Runes are an ancient alphabet that was used by the peoples who inhabited the Scandinavian Peninsula, the British Isles and some other territories (even certain regions of Central Europe).

Futhark was the name of the runic alphabet, which included 24 letter signs. Ritual practice, fortune telling and the composition of poetic texts - this is the original purpose of the runes. Today we remember mainly the use of runes in mantika (fortune telling); There is information that enthusiasts, in particular the British, are reviving the ritual use of runes. Unfortunately, no one in the world can write sagas anymore, following the tradition of the northern skalds - wandering singers of European paganism and, partly, the early Middle Ages.

The great god Odin, the head of the northern pantheon, experienced severe torment while comprehending the meaning of existence. Wounded by his own blade, the great god Odin hung on the World Tree Yggdrasil for nine days, suffering thirst and severe cold. Before falling from the branches of the World Tree, the great Odin noticed the runes - pebbles with signs depicted on them - and managed to pick them up. Later, the resurrected Odin gave the runes to people.

Twenty-four letters became magical symbols filled with the deepest meaning. Each of the runes is closely connected with one of the twenty-four world forces and is its complete embodiment. The twenty-fifth rune is the embodiment of Fate, it was added to the Futhark later.

The art of communicating with runes was passed down from generation to generation through a complex initiation rite that few could undergo. Unfortunately, the last true masters of Runemal ended their careers in Iceland in the 17th century. This meant that the ancient tradition of runic fortune telling was interrupted - it would seem completely. However, already in the 20th century, through the efforts of researcher Ralph Bloom, it was possible to restore not only the original meaning of runic symbols, but also the technique of fortune telling. The scientist had to study countless volumes of works on cultural history, archeology, cultural history, linguistics, and ethnology.

“Exalted game” is the most successful, in my opinion, definition of runic fortune-telling. “Know yourself,” advised the Delphic oracle. Futhark encourages a person to follow the same advice. Freeing a person, taking on part of the magical effort, runes bring us closer to understanding the deepest secrets of the Universe and the human soul.

“The Real Present”, “Warrior of the Spirit”, “Small Self” and “Big Self” – these are the four concepts that underlie modern Runemal.

The “actual present” is an indefinable moment in time that lies outside the categories of past, present and future. Every person is forced to move along the path of time, but not everyone knows that these definitions, from Runemal’s point of view, are absolutely meaningless. “The past no longer exists, the future does not yet exist, the present is unrealizable” - this is the position of an adherent of runic art. The Warrior of the Spirit operates only within the framework of the “actual present,” which allows him to free his mind to accept the eternal truths of the Universe. The Warrior of the Spirit is not burdened by memories and is not concerned about the future. His destiny, inscribed in the book of destinies, is being fulfilled here and now.

Runic magic

“Warrior of the Spirit” is the name of anyone who has entered the path of runic magic. The Warrior of the Spirit is not only a master of runic fortune-telling, but also a real fighter on the lists of fate. Aggression, falsehood, sentimentality, deceit and other character traits that have made human nature so weak and helpless are alien to him. Duty and due are unshakable categories for the warrior of the Spirit. His path is marked by victories and awards. However, the warrior firmly remembers that one single moment of complacency can forever destroy the edifice of Power, built with such titanic labor. Consent and acceptance are also important qualities of a warrior of the Spirit. He who accepts the gifts and blows of fate with wisdom and calmness deserves, at the end of his life’s journey, to take his rightful place at the feast of the gods, where the great god Odin presides.

“Little I” is everyday life, given to a person in direct sensations and reflected in his consciousness. The “Small Self” animates a person, making him a precise mechanism capable of performing a whole series of complex interrelated actions over a certain period of time. Without the “small self,” human physical existence would be impossible. However, it is the “small self” that is capable of enslaving a person, dictating to him seemingly unshakable mechanical rules of behavior. Only the disclosure of one’s “big self” gives a person hope for a better future.

Runic practice

. The “Big Self” is the spiritual essence of a person, developing during magical practice. In principle, any magical tradition provides an opportunity to reveal one’s own “bigger self.” From the point of view of runic practice, the disclosure of the “big self” is only half the battle, because the spirit needs constant strict education. Working with runes provides such an opportunity. The best way to improve the “big self” is to accept runic advice, that is, the results of working with runes. “Only the runes in your fist knock truly,” says an ancient inscription found by archaeologists in the rocks of Norway. Making sure that everything communicated by the runes is true is very simple: two or three months of constant practice will be indisputable proof even for an inveterate skeptic.

Having become familiar with the basic concepts of Runemal, you can move on to runic practice; you must remember that Runemal does not offer ready-made recipes: it only calls on a person to act in accordance with his own destiny, his own deep destiny.

Many magicians involve the client himself in their work so that he purchases candles, a ritual knife, fabric or other objects for the ritual, so that the client feels involved in the work and makes an effort. Nothing is given for nothing. And if they do perform some kind of ritual for you for free, then expect that it will manifest itself somewhere. Losses can be several times greater.
There are cases when a magician helps for free, but these are rare cases and they happen in secret.

No magician, no matter how strong and experienced he is, gives a 100% guarantee of his work. Therefore, if someone guarantees you 100% results, pass by. Since the result of the work is influenced by the personal strength of the magician, your strength, as well as the chain of situations and opportunities that happen to us every second. If there is an impact on changing a situation in which several persons are involved, then the physical state of each subject, the psychological state, and the level of interaction of all persons are not the least important. Therefore, the same ritual can work for one person on the same day, and for another a month later. For some it won't work at all. In addition, it must be taken into account that the problem can be karmic and a person must overcome it himself and learn a lesson. And in this case, even if the necessary changes occur, the problem may appear in another place, not at all expected.

The magician’s work system includes such a point as refusing a client:

• the magician can refuse if he understands that the task is impossible;
• if intervention in the situation is prohibited by the Force;
• the absurdity of the order;
• or without any explanation at all.

Who is responsible for the completed order, the magician or the customer?

If a magician sees an order as a violation of the laws of the Force and still fulfills this order, then the magician bears responsibility. But it is unlikely that a magician will take on such work. In other cases, responsibility lies with the customer, and the magician is only a conductor of the Force.

I will dwell on one more point. Many are accustomed to dividing magic into black, white, gray... But there is no division in magic! Therefore, when paying attention to the principles of magical work, it is necessary to take this into account. Magic is an all-encompassing concept that includes everything. These are natural Forces, science, and art, egregorial Forces. All influences are under the control of the system - magic. There are Light magicians, Black and White. There are Dark magicians, Black and White. And the difference between a Black and a White magician manifests itself in skill, in the direction of the applied energy and Force. White magic deals with correction, adding something. The principles of a magician's work include the following rules that cannot be broken:

• everything must be voluntary, no one has the rule to influence a person unless he asks for it;
• in this world there is no preference between good and evil - these are two equilibrium structures. For a person this is acceptable, since he does not influence anything, for a magician it is not. The magician must strictly observe the rules of good and evil. Everything should be in balance. The magician is above the religious egregors, he fulfills them, but does not worship. Therefore, his concept of good and evil is different from that of an ordinary person. (Good is something that has passed natural selection and achieved a certain result, evil is something that has not passed natural selection and has not achieved any results). A person perceives good and evil based on the concepts of benefit and harm, and perceives it through himself;
• all people, no matter how they form into groups, communities, they still must form integrity. This means that every person who is close to another person compensates him to the whole. If this is a group of people, they all collectively compensate each other until the whole. That is, there are approximately equal numbers of men and women, approximately equal numbers of good and bad people. There should be no curvature. If a man and a woman complement each other to the fullest, then their couple will be strong. If this does not happen, then they take someone else as a lover. Magicians try to represent this integrity themselves.
