Septefril tablets instructions for use for children. Instructions for use of Septefril tablets for children and adults, dosages and analogues. Conditions and shelf life

Most of the pathological processes that occur in the throat and oral cavity are a consequence of exposure to pathogenic pathogens. Therefore, specialists supplement complex therapy with drugs with an antibacterial effect. Among the inexpensive, fast-acting drugs in this spectrum, one can note Septefril, a medicine that destroys pathogenic flora. Thanks to the action of Septefril, you can get rid of unpleasant symptoms in a short time.

The form of the medicine is tablets intended for resorption, which are packaged in 10 pieces in cells of contour packaging and without cell containers.

The active ingredient of the drug is decamethylenedimetdichloride, trade name - decamethoxin. One tablet contains 0.2 mg of the active ingredient. The auxiliary ingredients are calcium stearate and powdered sugar.

Admission rules for children

It is worth warning the child that while the tablet is in the mouth, running, jumping and other vigorous activities should be avoided so that the drug does not enter the respiratory tract before dissolving.

Interaction with other drugs

Instructions for medical use of the drug

Description of pharmacological action

Decamethoxin belongs to the group of bi-quaternary ammonium compounds and exhibits an antiseptic effect. Due to the fact that decamethoxin is
a surfactant, it changes the permeability of the microbial cell, causing its destruction and death, on which the antiseptic effect of the drug is based.

Decamethoxin has a wide spectrum of antimicrobial action (corynobacteria diphtheria, pyogenic cocci, including staphylococci, enterobacteria, including pseudomonas,
spore microorganisms, protozoa, yeast-like fungi, dermatomycetes; viruses).
During decamethoxin therapy, resistant forms of microorganisms form slowly.

Decamethoxin increases the sensitivity of bacteria to antibiotics; it has a bactericidal, sporicidal, and fungicidal effect on microbial cells.

Decamethoxin does not inhibit the specific and nonspecific immunological reactivity of the human body.

The maximum effect of decamethoxin occurs 7-10 minutes after its administration and lasts for an hour.

You should also always remember that medications containing alcohol are contraindicated in your situation; you need to be extremely careful with tinctures of immunostimulants, as they increase your blood pressure, increase your heart rate, and negatively affect the baby’s cardiovascular system.

1. When coughing, the following are indicated:

Frequent hot drinks:

  • hot black tea with honey and lemon;

  • black currants diluted with boiling water;
  • drink hot milk in small quick sips, to which add honey and butter (per glass of milk: 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of butter);

The decoction is drunk while it is hot, if possible - without stopping, at the rate of 1 glass of decoction per serving, the decoction made - per day. For the next dose, the remainder of the decoction is brought to a boil again and drunk hot.

2.For dry cough expectorants are used:

  • mucoltin (taken orally 50-100 mg before meals 3-4 times a day. The course of treatment is 7-14 days) or the drug "Alteyka";
  • Thermopsis tablets are used as prescribed by a doctor only during the second trimester of pregnancy (Contraindicated for use in the first and third trimesters of pregnancy, as well as during breastfeeding due to the risk of developing respiratory depression in a child due to the penetration of codeine through the placental barrier and the BBB).;
  • inhalation of camphor essential oil ( with caution in the first trimester of pregnancy).

3.For a runny nose and the initial stages of sinusitis:

  • boil the egg, let it cool slightly, wrap it in thick cotton fabric and warm the lower and upper maxillary sinuses;
  • rinsing the nose with sea salt (a teaspoon of sea salt per glass of warm water); it is possible to use sea water - “Aqua Maris”;
  • the drug "Salin" as prescribed by a doctor;

5.Antibiotics - only according to indications and doctor's direction!

You should consult a doctor if:

1) your illness lasts 3 or more days;

2) temperature above 37 degrees;

3) if there is intoxication of the body - weakness, feeling of weakness, headache, vomiting;

4) if the headache and pain in the maxillary sinuses do not go away;

5) if you notice changes in the color of sputum or mucus from the nose;

6) if temor occurs;

7) if changes in temperature are noticeable (from fever to chills);

8) when the cough does not go away or decrease;

9) when plugs appear in the tonsils, as well as when plaque forms on the tongue and in the oral cavity;

10) with difficulty expectorating sputum, the so-called “bubbling chest”.

Cold preventatives:

  • proper, rational nutrition, since it is thanks to this that the immune system is maintained;
  • dress for the season; remember that hypothermia of the feet causes a cold almost instantly;
  • rosehip decoction: dry rosehip berries are crushed, placed in an enamel bowl (not in aluminum, since aluminum neutralizes vitamin C), poured with boiling water (4 tablespoons per 500 ml of water) and simmered over low heat for 3 minutes. After this, remove from the heat, cover with a thick cloth and let it brew for 40 minutes. Drink half a glass warm every 2 hours in case of the first signs of a cold or a glass 2 times a day for prevention. If nasal congestion and throat discomfort have already appeared, you can make the broth thicker, but in this case you should not take additional vitamin C (ascorbic acid). Rosehip should be taken with caution by people with low blood pressure - it can lower blood pressure sharply, which may cause dizziness;
  • When going outside, lubricate the nasal mucosa oxaline ointment— it prevents the penetration of microbes into the body;
  • Avoid talking on the street immediately after a warm room, after just drinking tea, or after a long conversation. If necessary, wrap your throat with a warm scarf or shawl.

No need to be upset if you suddenly catch a cold! A cold is curable if you just don’t give up on it completely. Of course, it’s hard not to get sick for 9 months of pregnancy in a row plus months of breastfeeding, but it’s within the power of every woman, believe me. Don’t neglect the simple rules to keep you and your long-awaited baby healthy, and you will succeed! May your motherhood bring you only positive emotions! Health to you and your child!
