Instruction

Make a backup. The fastest way to do this is to connect your phone to your computer and sync it with your account on the Google, Microsoft My Phone, or Exchange ActiveSync websites. You can also save data to Outlook through ActiveSync. Another method is to use Spb Backup, Pim Backup or Sprite Backup to save data.

To restore factory settings, use the phone menu. Press the following buttons in sequence: "Menu", "Settings", "Privacy", "Reset to factory settings", "Reset phone settings", "Erase everything". If you need to enter a phone code, you need to take it in the user manual. The system then rolls back the changes and reboots.

The second method, which allows you to return, is performed using the phone buttons. Turn off the phone and press two buttons at the same time: the call key and the end call key. While holding them, press the power key and hold all three buttons until a window appears asking "Reset everything to factory settings?". Press the call key to agree or the end call key to cancel.

The following method is performed from the Recovery menu (recovery). To access this menu, turn off your phone and simultaneously press the Volume Up button and the Home button (the middle button below the screen), and then the Power key. Entering the recovery menu, select wipe data / factory reset, then press enter (that is, the call key). The mode when working in the recovery menu should be three-button.

Another way to reset to factory settings is by using a service code. The service code itself can be found at http://vsekodi.ru/index.php/samsung. This resets all settings, even clearing the internal memory card, so use this method with caution.

After the operation is completed, you can restore the data from the backup and set up the phone as you wish. Whichever method you choose, remember that resetting your phone to factory settings is a dangerous operation that can lead to data loss or even damage to the phone, so use it only in special cases.

Modern technological devices are replete with all kinds of functions, settings and characteristics, most of which the user can change at his discretion. As a result, it sometimes happens that modifications and changes bring equipment to a non-working state. To solve this problem, you need to reset the factory settings.

Instruction

First option:
Go to the phone menu and select the "Settings" section. Most models have a "" button at the very bottom. By clicking it, you will return all device settings to the factory version. If this command is missing, then read the instructions for the phone, which should indicate the necessary combinations to return to the original state.

Second option:
In addition, you can simply remove the battery from the switched on device and insert it back after a few minutes. This will reset the system. However, this method is not recommended as it may damage the battery.

Third option:
Download and install the latest version of iTunes on your PC, which will allow you to factory reset your iPod. Connect your device to your computer and run the program. Click the Browse button in the Source panel and select your device. Click the "Restore" button and follow the instructions of the application. After the "iTunes Setup Assistant" window appears, you need to specify the name and model of your iPod and complete the sync settings that were made when you first connected the device.

Fourth option:
Take the factory default disc that came with your personal computer. Save the necessary documents and files to a separate medium. Insert the disc into the PC and confirm that you want to restore the settings. After the process is completed, restart your computer. A black screen will appear, press the F1 key and select Restore Factory Settings. You can also do this operation in the BIOS by resetting the settings.

Fifth option:
Read the instructions that came with your laptop. Depending on its model, there is a certain key combination that, when pressed, will reset the system to factory settings. It must be remembered that personal documents will also be reset to zero, so you must first save them to a separate medium.

Samsung galaxy: how to connect the Internet?

Setting up and connecting the Internet in Samsung galaxy series phones is basically no different from a similar procedure on other smartphones, and yet many users of Samsung galaxy series smartphones face the problem of setting up and connecting to the Internet. In this regard, we will consider how to carry out this procedure.

Automatic settings

In order to order automatic Internet settings, it is enough to dial a special command that each operator has. You can go to the website of your mobile operator and go to your personal account, after which you will find out the command for sending automatic settings, however, remember that in some cases automatic settings can damage the smartphone software.

If you still decide to choose the operator settings, then before downloading them to your phone, be sure to familiarize yourself with the provided settings packages. Keep in mind that some settings may be charged. What's more, some customization packages are subject to a subscription fee that is debited from your account on a monthly basis.

Access point entry

The essence of this method is that the user must enter the network settings on their own. Often, many operators do not require data entry, but simply indicate the need to enter a code word, for example, "internet". The procedure for connecting your smartphone to the Internet is as follows:

  1. Go to the phone menu and go to settings. Find "mobile networks".
  2. Next, go to the "access points" menu item and select "create a new access point".
  3. Enter any name for the access point and disable proxy servers.
  4. Click "save".
  5. The access point you created should appear in the apn list, which you need to make active and reboot the phone.
  6. The network setup will happen automatically. Please note that the "Normal" option should be specified in the "recognition" field. If you don't want to enter a password, leave the password confirmation field blank. The "ip-address" field must also be left blank.

If you are all made of this guide, then do the basic setup in the order described below.

First of all, you need to turn off the mobile Internet, otherwise it will greatly eat money from your account. Of course, you should not disable it if you still plan to use it, but then I recommend purchasing traffic from the operator in advance. On Samsung, you can turn off mobile data in the "Connection" column in "Mobile networks" settings.

Next, we need the Internet, with which we will connect via home Wi-Fi, if any. If you haven’t got home wireless Internet, then I recommend briefly turning on mobile data transfer, which we have already turned off above. In Samsung smartphones, the Wi-Fi settings menus are at the very top of the "Connection" list. We go into this menu, activate Wi-Fi, find the home network, click on it, enter the password from it: you need to act in this sequence.

Next, let's set up the keyboard. This is necessary so that you can enter on your smartphone not only in Russian or English, but in everything you need. To do this, go to the "Management" column, and then to "Language and input" and, having entered the settings of the keyboard itself, select all the necessary languages.

Next, in the settings, look in the "General" column, and log in to your favorite social networks. This is to ensure that you receive notifications when someone writes to you or if something interesting happens there and relates to you. By the way, I recommend using programs for social. networks only from their authors: using third-party programs there is a possibility of stealing your data and, as a result, the whole account and everything attached to it. Log in to social networks can be in "Accounts". Everything is simple there: select the one you need by clicking on it; Enter your email/login and password. We do this with all the social networks that interest you.

For all Android devices, I recommend turning on Google Photos sync. This is for backing up all photos and videos to Google Drive cloud storage. With Google Photos, you won't lose your photos if your smartphone or tablet is lost or broken, and you'll have access to them from anywhere in the world and from any computer/smartphone/tablet by simply logging into your Google account. For the convenience of users, that is, you, passwords and logins match your mail account.

Digging through the settings, you will definitely stumble upon the possibility of modifying the lock screen. It's under "Lock Screen" in the "Device" column. In this settings menu, you can remove the screen lock completely, put a pattern or code.

These locks look like this (on the left is a pattern, on the right is a code):

When setting a pattern or code lock, think twice if you need it. If you forget the combination, then you can only unlock your smartphone by entering your Google account, as verification of you, or by doing complete reset of all settings and data. So that due to poor memory you do not lose the necessary data and do not waste your time in vain, write down the combination in a notepad and / or in a text file, and save the records securely.

The rest of the smartphone settings are not so terrible and will not do anything bad to it, so you can set it up to your own taste. Nobody knows what will happen to us in a week or two, so I recommend immediately setting up what you may not need at the moment:

How to set up mobile internet?

How to set up MMS?

How to set your ringtone?

Now let's connect the phone to a computer to transfer music, photos, videos and other files. To connect your smartphone to a PC, you need to go to the manufacturer's website and download the Kies program. Go to the manufacturer's website Support section and in the search bar enter the code of your phone or tablet model. Click find and it has multiple results. We pass on any, but it is desirable to go to the one where there is an inscription "software". Next, download the Kies program, install and connect the smartphone to the PC to check the performance.

In fact, you can do without everything stated in this section, but simply take and connect the device to a PC. But the trouble is, the sad thing is that the computer does not always successfully find the necessary drivers, and having done everything as written above, your smartphone will connect unambiguously. Owners of Windows XP and earlier versions will be upset because the new Samsung smartphones only work with Windows Vista.

The full potential of a smartphone is possible only with the help of the Internet. Samsung Galaxy S 3 runs on Android OS and using it only for calls means using only a small part of its capabilities.

The operating system of the phone is only the platform on which applications are installed that directly enhance the functionality of the phone for the user. In order to be able to use your smartphone to the fullest, you need a proper internet setup. As an example, let's try to set up the Internet on the Samsung Galaxy S 3.

There are two ways to connect your smartphone to the Internet: via WiFi or via the Internet provided by the telecom operator.

Quick article navigation

WiFi setup

WiFi connection is convenient due to its availability and speed, as well as the missing fee for traffic:

  • On the Samsung Galaxy S 3, you need to find the "Applications" button and select "Settings" in the next window;
  • Next, you need the "Wireless network" item: check if the WiFi connection is enabled on your smartphone. If not, then turn it on.

After activating the WiFi module, you can select the appropriate network:

  • We turn to the item "Adding a network" (you may need a password to enter. In a cafe, you can usually find the password on the receipt of your order). For a home network, you must know the password;
  • After adding the network, you can use the Internet.

GPRS/EDGE setup

The Internet provided by mobile operators is more convenient to set up where there is no WiFi connection (of course, this method is most suitable for those subscribers who have unlimited traffic, but other users will be able to view their mail).

The connection sequence at the beginning is the same as in the previous case:

  • "Applications" -> "Settings", then, find the item "Advanced settings" and go to the item responsible for mobile networks;
  • Here you need to specify the access point. Usually the access point is already entered (it is loaded immediately when the SIM card is turned on for the first time). If the access point is not specified, then all data on it can be requested from the operator.

It's best to set up both connections, as you may need both, depending on the situation: WiFi will save you money, while 3G will give you the ability to connect wherever you are.
