In addition, after booting from hibernation mode, you can continue working exactly from the place where it was completed (as in the case of sleep mode), but you don’t have to worry about battery drain.
Therefore, hibernation mode is more suitable for laptops.

Finally, another rather important section worth paying attention to is the Cover and Power Buttons category. Here you can set the default behavior of the PC when closing the lid (meaning the lid of the laptop) and the action of the power key (default is "Sleep").

If necessary, as an addition, you have the right to set the settings for disabling drives in the absence of PC activity (in the Hard Drive category), as well as settings for deactivating the PC or lowering the display brightness (in the Screen category).

Common problems when working with sleep mode

The simple answer goes like this: The computer enters sleep mode faster than hibernation, and wakes up from sleep mode faster than from hibernation.

You need to be very careful when using sleep mode with some programs, for example, if you set to process or encode video files for several hours and at that time the computer goes into sleep mode, the process will naturally be interrupted by an error. In addition to program events, devices can also wake the computer from sleep. Most often this is a keyboard, mouse, network adapter or USB controller. If you don't want your computer to "wake up" after accidentally pressing a button on the keyboard or because of an inadvertently touched mouse, follow these instructions. Go to Control Panel - Device Manager and open, for example, the "Keyboards" item. Right-click on the line "HID Keyboard" and select "Properties".

In the window that opens, go to the "Power Management" tab. Uncheck the box "Allow this device to wake the computer from standby" and save the changes using the "OK" button.

Hybrid Sleep
