iPhone reminders not working. How to make iPhone remind you of birthdays. How to Delete a Reminder on iPhone or iPad Using a Gesture

The developers of the "apple" operating system made sure that the owner of the iPhone was able to set "reminders" about important matters. A large number of users have already appreciated the standard iOS application "Reminders". In new versions of the system, its capabilities have expanded: functions of finer tuning have appeared, it has become possible to indicate the type and period of repetitions. Not all users know how to set a reminder on an iPhone correctly.

An important feature of reminders before the update, which the iPhone people dreamed about, was the ability to set up event repetitions. Now it’s quite easy to put a “reminder” with this option:

This completes the process of creating a reminder. To display a reminder on the iPhone screen, no additional steps are required. The device itself will show a message on the lock screen exactly at the set time.

If you need to make a reminder with sound, there is no need to add a ringtone. The system uses standard notification melodies, almost without the possibility of adjustment.

Voice assistant help

On the unlocked screen, hold down the Home button at the bottom of the smartphone. Wait until the Siri page appears.

Ask to create a reminder. To do this, just say something like: "Siri, remind me that the planning meeting will be held on September 3 at 14-00." The assistant completes the task by automatically creating a reminder.

The disadvantages of this method is the requirement for high-speed Internet, which is necessary for Siri to work. As well as the lack of the ability to configure repetitions by voice.

Birthday Reminders

A useful feature is the ability to set alerts for upcoming birthdays. To prepare for activation of reminders, you will first need to enter data on dates. This is done quite simply:

After that, you can start showing "reminders" about birthdays on the iPhone's main screen. To do this, follow the instructions below step by step:

If the user has multiple Apple devices, it will be easier to create "reminders" on each of them. To do this, there is no need to manually duplicate memorable dates on each device. It is enough to use the iCloud cloud service.

From the main page, go to the settings section, and then to the iCloud options. We check that calendar synchronization is in the "Enable" position. Now, if the device is connected to the Internet, all "reminders" will become available on each device.

Conclusion

So, simply and without much effort, we turn our smartphone into a personal assistant, reminding us not to miss a business meeting or the birthday of an important person. Voice control allows you to set a reminder and set it up faster and more conveniently.
